  1. Jeez, I dunno what to say other than I've had no big glitches. Compared to Oblivion, this game is clean as heck. As for the enjoyment factor, the devil is in the details: The skill trees are exciting to unlock archery and stealth feel rewarding and exciting they did a lot to make dungeons not too repetitive most shortcomings are simply fixed with a quick mod (like the 4GB thing is already enabled for me) If you have the horsepower, the graphics are legitimately unprecedented the world is highly immersive, thanks to the graphics and realistic questlines with my solid state drives, loading times are about 5 seconds maximum So to dismiss this game as just another sandbox, I just can't see it that way. They streamlined everything from Oblivion. Well, voice acting and dialogue animations are still pretty bad, but I'm having too much fun with the gameplay to mind.
  2. So.. I've logged in 19 hours of gameplay. Zero FPS issues on high settings. Zero crashes. One glitch ever. I've also got a boatload of mods installed and newfound love for Futura as a font. I'm never bored. Archery is super satisfying. The only complaint I could possibly make is the mediocre companion AI. GOTY
  3. I'll make the expected smug comment... Well, there's no such problems on PC for me! Console people, you sillies..
  4. Yes, fear our almighty power to control small animals for 60 seconds! AND we can resist poison! Well... uh... half of it.
  5. Grr, someone on youtube requested a mod to replace the main theme with this so I was like "dang, that's a good idea" So I made the mod.. and then found out it was already done six days ago. Oh well, either way I have an awesome mod..
  6. I wanna thank you for that massive post you made in the OWS thread a long time ago. I decided to do a class presentation on the subject and all that info you laid out was HUGELY helpful.

  7. Khajiit freak me out. Tiger heads plopped onto human bodies is just odd. I'm also on Master and as long as I have a companion, it's manageable. I look for mods like Cutthroat Merchants to up the challenge. A certain mod makes vampires instantly explode upon sunlight exposure, but that seems a bit much..
  8. I'm really late on the boat, but I finally got the game and have been modding the oblivion out of it. I consider these essential mods: Enhanced Shaders WITH Darker Nights (addsmuch more drama and immersion) Vurt's Flora Overhaul Realistic Water Textures Enhanced Night Sky Cutthroat Merchants (Makes items sell for much less and cost much more. Choose between 5 levels of increased difficulty) And damn this game looks good on my not-so-impressive pc... (anyone else pick wood elf?)
  9. I don't like any of these designs. I think they could benefit from being more discreet, and they aren't all that creative. I want to see OCR's creativity proudly represented. Shirt designs are really, really hard though. Because I'm picky.
  10. Meteo is onto something. A bob-omb.. wearing Stevo's beard.. wearing the OCR logo headphones! Infinite profit.
  11. Maybe now you'll start believing us when we say that you're really frickin good at this stuff. And ISW, I hope you do more of these contests down the road!
  12. That was a pretty awesome moment when I recognized Fight the Current. As if I didn't love that track enough before this.
  13. Dang, who are you and where did you come from with this amazing chip track? Smooth all the way through.
  14. This game is such a hidden gem. AND THIS SONG. Needs a happy guitar rendition!
  15. I realized today that I get way more enjoyment out of handheld Zelda games than the console versions. Phantom Hourglass had so much going for it and no, Ganon doesn't have to be in every game.
  16. I've been keeping this game locked on my radar, being a veteran of FFXI. For those of you playing, how are things now? Are the servers lively? Optimistic? I'm studying their PDF about 2.0, but I'm not sure what to think of it. New graphics engine.. graphics were a problem? And then there's this: "The current maps in FFXIV are not only massive, but allow for seamless passage across wide expanses of the realm. In order to maintain this seamlessness, however, we were forced to heavily reuse assets, resulting in static, repetitive areas." Obviously, I love the idea of making the maps dynamic akin to FFXI's, but his tone just... it pisses me off. You were forced to reuse assets? To maintain seamlessness? Bullshit. You reused them because you wanted to roll the game out too damn early. That they can continue to be so unapologetic about everything and continue to create excuses just blows my mind. EDIT: I read further and saw that they are "abandoning seamlessness" in exchange for dynamic areas. I just don't understand why things can't be seamless and dynamic.. Skyrim did it ffs. I really want to get into this game since I loved FFXI so much, but the whole thing seems so shaky. EDIT 2: Holy dang, this isn't going to be ready until 2013? This has got to be the most elaborate overhaul in history. I guess I have plenty of time to decide O_O
  17. 1920 x 1080 and 4x AF, but both those things shouldn't effect performance much. Lowering native res to 1x helps a lot, but it looks SOOO good at 2x native. I guess my CPU just isn't up to snuff.
  18. 7719 fixed the graphics.. man they look good. But now my emulation speed sucks. 3.2GHz AMD Phenom II 6-core GTX 470 Shouldn't be my hardware... and my settings are just like the Wiki describes. Ugh :[
  19. To the Dolphin people, anyone know how to fix these weird lines I'm getting?
  20. I don't have fanboy hate for that game. Just regular hate.
  21. lol, I was gonna post something similar. Good luck outdoing Proto when it comes to design.
  22. For FPS games. I really don't care to do a campaign in a format where the only mechanic is to aim down your sights and fire. Single player is very important to me, but RPGs and action games have better means to support an engaging single player experience. For me, anyway. No, but I think there's a lot of work that goes into multiplayer too. Map design, sound design, network engineering, scripting for all the killstreaks, programming for matchmaking, tons of testing needed to simulate a multiplayer experience designed for 16+ players at once. I think it's every bit as complex as a campaign, and probably costs a pretty penny.
  23. I dunno. Citation? Even if it's true, FPS campaigns have never been able to engage me. I love single player games, but not in this form. Chalk it up to personal preference I guess. EDIT: Tried booting up the MW3 campaign to prove myself wrong, but I get an error on the first loading screen every time I try. Glad to see that budget was spent so well that I can't even start the game XD
