  1. So I had this idea to make a moon-themed song and call it Lunar Sigh. And then as I was making it I realized I was back to my old habit of creating unrelated patterns and gluing them together. But I was like "wait a minute... lunar sigh... lunar.... CYCLE!" So I started designing each pattern idea into a phase of the moon, 9bit dance style. And that gave me the perfect excuse to keep the patterns and use incorrect song structure! And thus, Lunar Cycle. http://soundcloud.com/modusmusic/lunar-cycle
  2. The actual arrangement is really "by the book" but I still enjoy it because of the good execution. Following you on cloudysounds.
  3. Will do. 10char I'd say it's more tastefully unsettling. The dissonant drony pads kind of take away the possibility of this being relaxing for me. But I think that's the point.
  4. I'm alright. Just got my computer fixed, so yay. Still too lazy to study music theory. Still breakin' all da rulez :] You're coming along nicely though. Keep up the WIPocalypse brah.
  5. I like this. Thanks for including a story with your song. More people should do that.
  6. Love it. The way you sing reminds me of a lot of classic rock singers. Good hybrid track.
  7. Dang this is actually.. pretty awesome, bro(ny). Followin' you on cloudysounds.
  8. Yeah I started at 140 and texted everyone I knew.. nothing. Went to 120... people were interested but no one with expendable income. So now it's going online. I'd rather not sell through eBay cause of the slow process and fees. I need cash quick.
  9. Please remove any old items I have up. that info is outdated. I'd like to add an item for sale though... PNY GTX 470, roughly 6 months old, never overclocked, non-super-clocked model - $120 + shipping [modus] (8/11)
  10. Happy birthday man. Glad to see there's still some mileage on that GIF I made ya
  11. Still listening to this daily. Not a single track I don't love. I think Cruise Control should be some sort of 8-bit classic though. Just amazing.
  12. I built my own too, so no bloatware. I might just suck at keeping my 150,000 programs organized. Anyway I don't wanna hijack this into a mac v. pc thread either but I did want to "counter-balance" your argument about forgetting mac and going for windows.
  13. Yeah I was just rebutting your thing about stability because I've had exactly the opposite experience. But I said it to benefit OP in his decision. Of course Macs can be unstable though. A video editor friend of mine had problems. I just think if you can get Bootcamp running it truly is the best of both worlds and worth the price premium. EDIT: Windows registries are easily cluttered and error-ridden. OSX does a really good job of automatically keeping its registry clean. How many times have I had to fiddle with the Windows registry to fix some sort of weird problem? Fairly often. On the other hand, I don't even know how to access the OSX registry cause I've never had to.
  14. Maybe he likes the structure of the OS better. As an owner of both a Mac and PC, I can understand why some may prefer a Mac. OSX is intuitively designed around doing what you want to do with as little effort as possible. For example, you don't have to screw around with the registry and installing programs is a simple drag and drop. I've also only had one crash ever on my Macbook whereas my PC is always somewhat unpredictable. More on topic, I think zircon already said what needed to be said. Bootcamp isn't emulation. It's purebred Windows running on hardware inside an Apple chassis. I've never been able to install Bootcamp, though, because of some sort of fragmentation problem on my Macbook HDD.
  15. To be fair the iPad does more than gaming.. and is a socioeconomic statement. I think 250 as a debut price is fair though. Portable gaming holds just as much value to me as console gaming. It'll probably replace console gaming for me down the road, actually.
  16. No big for me. I'll be viewing no matter how many entries, whether I'm participating or not. I just don't have the cash to fix my editing machine so I'm sidelined for a while here. And I'm done with making straight-line editing videos.. I'm trying to push into motion graphics from here on out, and I need my heavy duty PC for that.
  17. I have a 2003 Ford Escape with flat MP3 support. I'll burn a couple albums on a disc and report back with the results. I'll even try to get the same CD-Rs as you. In the meantime, have you tried different CD-Rs? Using iTunes to burn instead?
  18. It is not possible for me to participate without a lengthy deadline extension. Sadness and remorse :[
  19. I'm still gonna make you that video. I dunno when but you'll get it someday and it shall be glorious. for now, I'm on my PC while the CPU literally roasts at 98 celsius... downclocked. ok bai.

  20. Chipmusic is the most best. Trash80, Anamanguchi, and Sabrepulse are some of my favorites. EDIT: Oh, and of course you and proto >_>;;
  21. did you ask Protodome about doing your pixel art? He did halc's covers.. he's especially good with environments.

  22. Woah. Downloaded (in ALAC ) EDIT: Core is my favorite.
  23. I try pixel art. A pile of noodles A golden cloud Perfectly scrambled eggs Une graph de Sega
