  1. I really loved Radical Dreamers and love to see remixes from it. Great intro. Reminds me of the beginning of Super Metroid - landing in the rain. The drums coming in halfway through seemed like perfect timing. And their subdued complexity seemed very fitting.
  2. I was into the the guitar stuff in the beginning - it was simple and elegant. Then, about a minute in, it kinda shifts gears entirely into some kinda of dance/organ thing. It did sound out of key, especially at the end - it was a little grating. I think it should have stuck with the guitar. Reminded me of Rodrigo Y Gabriela.
  3. Pretty funktastic. I thought some of the instruments sounded a bit hollow at times, like I might hear in an elevator. Definitely groovy and with a lot of interesting things to catch the ear; overall a decent take on a classic.
  4. I admit - I really love the TMNT 4 soundtrack and I wish there were more remixes. I also admit that I have to be in a certain mood to listen to it to longs periods of time because it is so repetitive and slightly grating. With that said - I love this rendition. Excellent blend of synths and guitar; rockin' drums. It adds dynamic and feeling, it's not repetitious and it still maintains the raw power and fury of the original tune. Oh, and the Shredder sample is awesome.
  5. Strangely reminds me of the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas album. Or, maybe its's Tears For Fears. The strings are really great. And, yeah, the lyrics are pretty cheesy. But, the vocals, in general, add an air that really captures the moment in the game.
  6. Dark. Gritty. Good blend of synths. Overall enjoyable, though, I had some trouble getting through the business in the first minute.
  7. Amazing, man. I really like it. A good take on a classic tune. Has a sort of a Danny Elfman feel about it. I would have loved for it to be longer, of course!
  8. Beautiful. The piano works well with the feeling of the level. I really enjoyed the dynamic nature of your playing - gave the track a bit of the organicness it needs; sometimes delicate, sometimes strong.
  9. The FFX soundtrack was already impressive and I feel this remix fits right in. I'm very impressed with the instrumentation. Also, the building of suspense and tension was palpable. Very solid stuff - hope to hear more soon.
  10. Great tune from a great game: snappy and danceable with ear-pleasing synth design.
  11. Something to also keep in mind: you aren't required to stick to the original mode.
  12. It's fun, it's funky. It's lacking some complexity in it's design, but at the same time it maintains and preserves the spirit of it's oft-overlooked original. I dig it.
  13. Can't go wrong with a little FF5 action - vastly under-appreciated soundtrack. And this style of music is oft-executed poorly. Nice job, man.
  14. Yeahs. This is the best d&b at OCR, I'd hafta say. I mean, if you can call it d&b - it seems to be crossing some boundaries. I mean, making any tune 180 bpms or throwing in some square waves doesn't make it d&b. Some of the leads are just too tinny, the drums aren't quite compressed right and that staccato synth is almost gabberish. Regardless, it get high marks in my book. It's Game & Bass, really.
  15. You got me, dude. I don't usually like rock or medleys or long songs. I must be in a good mood or I'm just a sucka for MM3. The guitars sound crisp and there's some nice use of the ever underused stereo soundfield. The drum programming is pretty impressive - there could be some more velocity variation in there, but the sequencing otherwise is solid. And, yeah, Shadowman needs some remixes.
  16. Very beautiful. Very easy on the ears. Great way to get someone who hates video games to listen to remixes. It's a little on the cheesy side, but Dale's got a great voice so I can forgive.
  17. Ya know? I may have been on crack. I mean, I don't particularly care for the tune. And I did play the original Batman. But, man, what is typed above is pretty harsh.
  18. Indeed, it is all too close to being Kraftwerkian. I love it. The robot rap is gorgeous. Long live the 80s.
  19. Yeah, it's not revolutionary. But, it's a pretty decent dance tune compared to a lot of the stuff at OCR. The crowd thing is snazzy and energizing. On the whole, it's emotionally upbeat and technically solid and I enjoy listening to it. And I generally don't like dance tracks.
