I hate that posts like this scare new people away. Someone, anyone can claim the IRC chat room was mean to them and get sympathy without posting a full log of the event. Recently Mechaphone has transferred into being an IRC regular, a transplant from the forums. And he is cool and welcomed. It's not a clique that you can't get into. It's a circle of friends who have chatted with eachother for years. And log everything. This is just a case of someone complaining about something that didn't happen, and people bandwaggoning on and agreeing.

I like it when forum people transfer into the chat room. My postcount is low because i prefer the instant gratification of getting responses right away, rather than constantly refreshing a forum page. While I try to be polite to every new person that comes in, it's important to understand that there are often conversations going on between people who have known eachother for years. The polite thing to do is in a sense "lurk moar" and see how the conversation flows before attempting to turn the channel subject to yourself. No one likes an attention whore, especially someone who crashes the chat room and spews pages about themselves to people who don't know them. Would you do that IRL at a party, try to make yourself the center of attention like that? Would you really make a lot of friends that way? It's just important to understand this isn't an aol chatroom where the members change daily and no one knows who anyone is. Most of us have long standing relationships with eachother and attend events such as magfest otakon pax meetups etc. It's not that it's necessarily a "clique" but a group of friends. We are welcome to people of course, but it's not your standard chat room where you can attention whore. Also it's important to note that the first person who was snarky to you (i won't name names) is someone who has mental instability issues and social problems, whom I have had on and off of ignore for the past couple years. Also garian and presh were really nice to you, and spend quite a bit of time explaining things like emoticons, regulars, artists etc when you asked. In fact, it looks like you had quite a nice conversation with them about ocremixes and songs were shared. Gollgagh I think i saw you connect and then disconnect like an hour later without saying much beyond hello, and Rozovian a bit more than that. I guess IRC is not for everyone but going through the logs, there was no head biting-off or anything. imho much ado about nothing

Updated, at this point in time because many servers are having instability and lag issues it's helpful to play during off hours (read: while the kids are still in school) because it gets kind of crazy sometimes. We are still very welcome to new recruits, if you can deal with the lag! I've been levelling my priest now and she's up to lv38 as of last night. Vilecat is a beast to play with. Raarr! Also afaik Rama is rolling a DK Troll, I think I'ma do an Orc male because of the shoulders.

I used to be a combat mace stun rogue, but i may have to change since stun was taken out. Everyone is saying they are epic fail now - however my dps has increased by over 400 according to recount due to the armor cutting bonus maces now have. I'll still have to do some testing with swords, but so far I like. Kick doesn't seem to have a global cooldown which makes it easier to execute, and you get a free new disarming move. also,

I dig this. Recognizing the original really throws me back to those days, nostalgia factor etc hooray I'd love to hear more bass because there are so many highs due to the crunchy drums used. Also the drums repeat a pattern, they sound like they're well taken care of and glitched and loved, but then this pattern repeats over and over. Needs more break imho. As far as industrial music goes, I went through a few of my songs and this is the only one i'd suggest any influence from: I am ecstatic to see WCII getting this kind of love. Lies, i hate hunters and pick them first :> but yeah, you're right, a well geared rogue can stunlock and destroy a shammy... maybe tremor totems should be fixed to dispel that too. All i know is that sometimes i die just getting close to one.

I dunno, I gotta say that constantly critting with stormstrike and windfury is pretty OP. Shammies can wreck rogues like me if they don't let them get near. My roommate just dinged 70 on a new shammy, in greens and blues he is constantly topping the charts in damage done. I would blame the least played class thing on how complicated the totems are. I'm pretty intimidated by shammies because it seems like its a lot of work.

A pally tank would be awesome. @ Vilecat: It's a fun battlegroup. I've played in a couple others and this is my favorite by far. Mostly I've been doing a lot of PvP when I play alone but I'd like to get into more PvE with people I actually know, which is the whole reason for starting this guild :> But if we get a big enough group together we can get some fatty premades and the such. Since the original WoW thread started getting quite long, I was afraid this would get lost and so started a new one. It's time we arranged a guild dedicated to the members of the video game music arrangement community. That is why we are starting an open guild for everyone who is interested to join. We would like to get more players to get ready for the expansion. Both new and experienced players are welcome to join this guild. If you are new we will powerlevel and gear you. If you need help learning the class you chose, I can be patient with you and help out as well. Hopefully we can get a good group of helpful people together to assist. It is also important to note that if multiple people are interested in starting accounts at the same time, I would suggest looking into the Recruit-A-Friend system. You get an exclusive mount and get 3x experience for as long as you play together. It's pretty broke and you get this exp boost until level 60. Guitars in game or snickers bars don't really make me want to buy anything to be honest. The only ads that ever work for me are big juicy carls jr or taco bell ads. I do agree, but would you rather have a fender guitar in game or some made up one? You have games like forza and need for speed with real cars that you actually want irl, and then games like burnout with fake cars that you really have no passion for because they don't exist. There are ads everywhere you look and as unfortunate as it is to be infiltrating games, that seems to be the norm sometimes. Just be glad it's in games like racing games and not Elder Scrolls.

This is pretty much right. The business has to pay a certain percentage fee of each transaction made by credit card, and AmEx and Discover are much higher than Visa/MC.

Compo is over, thank you to everyone who participated! I gotta say that was the most fun i've had in a long time while writing, usually i'm all serious but this time i was giggling and stuff looking up goofy vocal samples and cowbells and terrible hits.
