  2. Happy birthday! Pixie, we're all expecting plenty of drunk pictures so get the camera ready
  3. ETG has had some connection issues lately. Once you're connected though, everything else seems fine. Normally I use /server irc.enterthegame.com which chooses a random server from their pool, but the 4 following ones are usually the most stable for me: Ky1.EnterTheGame.Com Ky2.EnterTheGame.Com Germany.EnterTheGame.com NewZealand.EnterTheGame.Com
  4. You should be able to boot to the recovery partition and use it to do a clean format and reinstall the OS. As for your isos, you need to back them up of course if you want them. If you don't want to get a second hard drive or burner, i'd suggest a large sized usb thumbdrive or an external to back it all up to.
  5. Won't you be able to start death knights at level 35 or something as long as you have another character over 60?
  6. No matter how many times I play through Seiken Densetsu 3, I want Angela in my party. <3
  7. Yeah, mine have a plug only on the left side. They're not the best or highest end headphones ever (even though they do have great sound) and I did buy them off ebay, so they very well may be fake However I know that some higher end Sony MDR headphones offer the removable/replacable cord as well.
  8. The MyBook is a good external enclosure, it's usually got a fan and is pretty high quality. It is a bitch to take apart though, and usually the case breaks when you do XD A 750GB or large capacity hard drive is likely to have perpendicular recording. This means that you are rewarded with higher capacity on a more dense (read: delicately aligned) platter. They're fantastic for stay-put machines. Not so much for externals to be honest. LaCie makes a "Rugged" external case but they're not the best brand - they tend to use the drives provided by the lowest bidder (usually ibm/hitachi) and some even have refurbished drives in them. The Buffalo drive linked above looks good, however stick to using their USB products since their network attached products all use a variant of the Linux Reiser file system which can be a bitch to recover from if anything fails or the file system gets corrupted. Scandisk won't know wtf to do with it. You have a couple options, either you can switch to a lower capacity drive like a 250 (a lot are still normal recording and not perpendicular), you can buy a "rugged" external enclosure or you can switch to flash memory and throw it around all you want. Or, you could just be realllly careful with your higher capacity delicate drives
  9. My sennheisers unplug from the headset themselves as well, so the cord is fully replaceable. They're HD590s. I'd double check for this first, since you may be able to just replace them with a straight thru audio cable.
  10. It's been said of course that you will need a dark room. You'll also want to be able to mount the projector so that you don't lose a seat because someone can't sit in a certain spot for fear of headshadow on the screen. It just doesn't really seem like a wise investment to me, but if you're ok with it then go for it.
  11. Midi is essentially a collection of notes written in a way that a computer can understand and apply sound to. A normal midi played through say, winamp is going to take this collection of notes, pipe them through your sound cards basic soundfont, and you'll get the music you hear. There are no programs that can easily just translate a recording back into this interpretable midi format, some exist but they are shoddy at best. If you're looking to have a midi created of a song, i'd suggest commissioning a musician from the community. If it's video game related, I might check http://www.vgmusic.com to see if they already have a midi created. I know, tl;dr, long story short, midi is instruction sets and cannot be easily converted to with a one-click program.
  12. I have 99 kills to 221 deaths #32 as of now. Recently the games haven't been too full, which can make maps like goldrush super fun... however as stated, having a lot of people like those first couple nights was a lot of fun. Maybe we should set certain days for playing, i.e. Tuesdays and Wednesdays?
  13. Don't know yet, i'm sure we'll get an update soon.
  14. I got a text from him, I assume he was on his way. I let the IRCers know as well.
  15. It turns out Escariot's collarbone is broken. My best guess is that the swelling went down enough to just find out about it. He's on his way to the emergency room.
  16. I'm sure that the game will last longer than 30 minutes, jump in any time after 8. Also prophet don't feel bad, I kept mashing e while trying to move or reload so i mapped it somewhere else. Sorry for all the medic calls
  17. OH! and Trace Memory. The puzzles in that game wow'd me so much that i had to shut it off and restart from a save just so i could experience such innovative awesome again.
  18. My DS is pink, and yet i take no offense because i imported it before they were available here. <3
  19. This is kind of tough without knowing what kind of games she likes. I'd absolutely suggest Phoenix Wright of course, with Pokemon Diamond/Pearl a strong second - since you can get a copy yourself and trade, it encourages competition/involvement. The New Super Mario Bros is a good addition to any DS collection as well as Brain Age. If she likes puzzle games, planet puzzle league or puyo pop fever, again both of these also have 2 player modes (and don't need a second cart). There's also Sonic Rush and Mega Man ZX, again without knowing what kind of games she likes it's tough to suggest anything but the more popular broad titles. There are quite a few games from the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy series if she likes those. I will say that Super Princess Peach was a fun and easy game. :3
  20. I like how this has good energy and is still chill. Love the new synth at the ending. Make sure you submit to r:ts :3

  22. I've only needed to buy an i/o shield separately once, I ended up buying it from some online yahoo store. I didn't see any right away, but there are some on ebay. This one ends in four hours :3 http://cgi.ebay.com/ASUS-P5N-E-SLI-I-O-SHIELD-775-Motherboard-Backplate-SLI_W0QQitemZ220220694836QQihZ012QQcategoryZ1244QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Overseas http://cgi.ebay.com/ASUS-P5N-E-SLI-Motherboard-775-I-O-IO-Shield-Plate_W0QQitemZ190211139464QQcmdZViewItem
