Tekken 3 - Jin Kazama Theme, as interpreted by me! It's a little thing I play often. Be sure to use pull offs for the entire power chord at the start. You can get it going super fast and clean. -

Congrats on being post #2,000. I guess that's worth some braggin' rights. Good song btw. As for me, "Can't Get Enuff' by Winger. -
Yeah, I really liked the comics back when Jim Lee was drawin' em. Seems that way. I was working on one of super-girl for the past few hours, but it's definitely not good enough to display.

K so, I know OCR has a fair number of artistic (aside from music) people. So this is sort of asking for your tips on a particular subject. For fun, I got a hold of some official, inked drawings from comic books. Like Tomb Raider, Witchblade and X-Men. I decided I wanted to give it a shot at colouring them in with gimp/photoshop. I'm looking for any general tips on how to really bring drawings to life by colouring them with computers. Any useful advice at all. Here's some pages that show the effects I'm going for. EVERYONE has this book My favourite bad girl from the 90s Now obviously, I wouldn't expect any of mine to turn out as good as those. The colorists for those books have many, many years of experience and professionalism. However, I still want to try my best. Also, this could make for good discussion of all things related to comic artwork, so feel free to discuss that too. Yes, I have made all the text bold in this post.

I believe FL studio comes with some pretty sub-par orchestral samples. Just some basic strings and stuff. There are some free soundfonts and samples for orchestral stuff, so he should probably start with those. After that comes the "high end" vsts like East West Symphonic Orchestra (I like that one), Miroslav Philharmonik, Vienna Symphonic Library and Morphestra. However, that shit will COST you. I also believe them to be sort of a waste of money in some ways, but highly useful in others. None of them have shit on a real orchestra of course, but I doubt your brother has one handy.

Best possible listening equipment.

How the fuck did this thread get posted twice? My apologies. -
I'm no audio engineer. You know that. What you may not know is that I recently got a pair of "in-ear speakers". Which sound fucking awesome. I can hear a lot more clarity and the punch of the bass hits my eardrums with near lethal, yet satisfying force. Now, my stereo system sounds so shitty by comparison that I can't stand to listen to music of any level of professionalism with it any longer. What is the BEST kind of equipment, in your opinion, to listen to music with? What is the difference in sound quality between stereos and headphones? What about regular headphones vs in-ear ones?

Pinball FX 2 & Marvel Pinball!
AngelCityOutlaw replied to AngelCityOutlaw's topic in General Discussion
I feel so cold and alone..... -
Does anyone else have this AWESOME pinball game? It's called "Zen Pinball" on PS3. I got it about a year ago and I just picked up the new Marvel: Vengeance & Virtue tables. The physics, art and the music in this game is absolutely amazing. Great combination of electronic music and symphonic, rock, middle eastern, etc. I can't seem to find out who did music for this game. Perhaps someone in-house at the studio. Amazing themes for the tables besides Marvel. They have an under sea one, a Persia themed table, paranormal, Street Fighter II etc. Anyway, thought a thread discussing all the pinball tables, sharing scores etc. would be cool. What are some of your best scores? Currently my two best are: Moon Knight: 58,000,000 Ghost Rider: 40,000,000

What's the point in "Genre" labels really. It's all rock, and it's all eletronic. So I call it that. I mean, with Metal and Eletronica especially, there is so many different labels and I can hardly tell the difference between most of them. Like I still can't figure out what makes "house" different from "techno". The only sub-genres in eletronic music that stand out to me is "trance".

For me, it's all about fighting games. Street Fighter X Tekken DOA5 Tekken Tag 2 That new Ninja Gaiden and Tomb Raider will be killer as well.

Want to mix some music for a game soundtrack?
AngelCityOutlaw replied to AngelCityOutlaw's topic in Recruit & Collaborate!
Gar was referring to potential scams that are out there. I've only ever ran into one scammer. On the subject of soundcloud. It is indeed quite awesome. I like how organized it is, you can upload a variety of formats, groups, etc. It's great. -
Makes sense.
-
Key word in that is, "hope" though. Hope rarely works =/

Years of intense training it is. P.S. Your profile wall is full of pissed off Darkesword. If he ever gives you the boot from this site, I will dedicate a cover version of "Hit the road Jack" to you.

Jack, are you naturally a dumb ass or does this come from years of intense training?
