Music Buffs, I need your help!
AngelCityOutlaw replied to Zach's topic in Music Composition & Production
You're using all capital letters. Which indicates all Major chords and that's why I think you have chords from a few different keys goin' on. -
Is it a bad idea to give your music context?
AngelCityOutlaw replied to Modus's topic in Music Composition & Production
"The life of a musician is a pattern of uphills and downhills until the uphills end." One of the greatest things about music in my opinion is that perfection can never be obtained. Whether it's in composition, performance or production, we will always be able to find areas in which we can improve. It's those who stay on the endless, bumpy road to perfection that seperates musicians from those who just want to play rockstar. There's times everyone wants to just throw in the towel though. I've thought about it sometimes. But then I think.....what the hell would Duke Nukem say? -

Fixed NVM...... -
Thanks. Yeah I was working on Jin's theme a while back but never got around to finishing it.

A funky electronic thing I started doing. It's pretty bad. But don't take my word for it, clickity clack that play button. Source Some parts of the remix so far are kinda empty cuz I haven't decided on a melody in some spots. and the only bass player I know is MIA for the past 3 weeks.

On every string, usually starting at the 14th or 15th fret upward, it's either sharp or flat. Like on one string the 14th will be a bit flat, then 17 and 18 will be more sharp on the same string. The strings are fairly new and I've stretched the hell out of them. I've been fiddling around with adjusting the intonation for hours and nothing seems to work. If I do a harmonic at the 12th, then fret the 12th and play the string open, it's all in tune. But at various frets it is not. Like 9 could be perfect, then 10 and 11 aren't. I've never been good with setting up guitars so can anyone help me out here? The neck doesn't seem to be bowed either....

A world with one less Megaman game, is a world one step closer to perfection. Here come the flames....

I simply can't believe I have not saw a damn thread for this. I loved the hell out of the comics (read like 50 issues in just a couple days) and I loved the first game nearly as much Here's some gameplay of the second I'd like to point out that normally I HATE FPS games. HATE. But this on the other hand. What you guys think? Will it be awesome?

I used to only have headphones. It sounded great but when I popped it into a stereo or something. My head almost exploded from bass overload. -

Games that NEED to come back!
AngelCityOutlaw replied to AngelCityOutlaw's topic in General Discussion
Agreed. Xenosaga is possibly the only RPG series I ever enjoyed. But the plot was so convoluted that come the end of the 3rd game, it felt like even the writers and characters weren't exactly sure what the hell was going on anymore. -
finished Amnesia: The Dark Descent
AngelCityOutlaw replied to Clem's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
My only issue was when you enountered the monsters, you basically just had to run around a couple corners and crouch down in the darkness for a minute to escape.....I don't recall ever running into the same monster twice. It was like they just vanished. Made it less scary for me. The atmosphere is unrivaled though. It's at the part where Daniel first starts talking. I should be more specific in that I don't mean the tone is too positive sounding but a few of the harmonies do. I'm not sure what all you have going on for chords there etc but maybe something a bit more dissonant? I dunno just personal preference really. It's actually not a strike against the track in my opinion as it still sounds freakin' awesome. Hey if you're cool with it no problem. Again a preference thing. I really like it though and it's great to see Amnesia gettin' some love. -

Yeah Tomba totally needs to return. I still remember those commercials about pink hair sweeping the nation or whatever. -
finished Amnesia: The Dark Descent
AngelCityOutlaw replied to Clem's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
I have a shred solo I did over a song from Amnesia. I'll have to dig that up. Amnesia wasn't really scary, but it was a great game. Anyway, as for it being "un-interesting" I don't agree. It's ambient, it's supposed to provide atmosphere and that's what this does quite well in my opinion, though some of the synths sound a little too happy. There's also lots of different parts to keep it fresh. I didn't find myself bored. I like the part where the snares first come in. I don't really like the glitchy part though because it clashes with the sound effects imo. I would've liked the parts with the creepy narratives and such to be a bit calmer and a bit more spooky musically. All in all, I'm really diggin' it. -
wip Call Forth The Darkness
AngelCityOutlaw replied to AngelCityOutlaw's topic in Post Your Original Music!
Fuck I accidentally muted the bass....no wonder. It has been re upped. -
So I'm starting up this tune influenced by DOA Dimensions soundtrack and The Darkness soundtrack. It's in it's early stages but I can't seem to get the proper amount of low end. At first I had too much, now I fear I may have cut it too much. Thoughts? http://tindeck.com/listen/eehz

Not a Rap-Metal for fun! Rob Zombie for fun!
AngelCityOutlaw replied to Mak Eightman's topic in Post Your Original Music!
Actually that drum sound and cheesy synth stuff works with it in my opinion. Yeah the drums could be upgraded and would make it sound more professional but here's the thing, Rob Zombie's style is reflective of old B Movies. Horror movies specifically. So the low quality drums add to that effect. -

I've highlighted the ones I know of from that list that have been remade or re-released. I'm not sure if it counts as a sequel or what but Afterburner: Climax is a sweet game check it out. They relaunched Shinobi back in 2001 or 2002 for PS2. It was a great game, they made a sequel called "Nightshade" but I never played it. I'm surprised as hell that there has been no more Shinobi games to compete with the Ninja Gaidens. As for bust a groove, Kitty N's Song was always catchy. -
Paul Oakenfold's awesome too.
-
No probs. It's called "Psytrance" more specifically.

What ya need, is to get yurself some Akitaka Tohyama. "Karma" being a popular tune. Karma - Check out his stuff under the name "Ajurika". He has an EP out.
