Of course I extend my thanks to those who DID donate. But the fact of the matter was that it just didn't really work out quite as planned. This thread has 5,700+ views, meaning the album was downloaded PLENTY of times, and I got about $30 total in donations... soooo... yeah. Thought it was time to take a new approach.

Could get a PayPal card. Works like a Visa, but pulls directly from PayPal. All you do is sign up for one, load money into your PayPal account from your checking account, and then use the card like a credit card. It's a good trade-off. Or just open a checking account at some place that gives you an ATM/Check/Debit card. That should also work the same way.

I pulled the free downloads after awhile because I saw no justification in leaving them up permanently when people are ranting and raving about how awesome it is. So alternatively (and I'm surprised your Google search turned up no results), you can purchase both discs of the album on a track-by-track basis for $.99 a song over at my broadjam page, which can be found here: http://www.broadjam.com/beatdrop

I dunno, personally, I thought this movie was fucking amazing. I was glued to the screen from the moment the shit hit the fan. The sound was mindblowing, the visual effects were very convincing, and the overall feel of the whole movie was GRIPPING, to say the least. Gave me a nice adrenaline rush. Can't wait to see it again.

It will be done. Oh yes... it will be done...

OCR01664 - Guilty Gear X "Alpha Blade"
Beatdrop replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Didn't really want it to be straight-edge generic trance, since I've had a considerable falling out with the genre as a whole as time has gone by. Like zyko said on the panel, it basically fell right in line with some of the more standard styles that can be heard on 'In The Dark.' Heavily synthetic, difficult to define, and a tad on the glitchy side. It's like the sister of 'Azure,' one of the last songs on the album. And somehow I always seem to make this stuff louder than all the rest. Like Rob Overseer. -

Antigravity remix contest! *WINNERS ANNOUNCED*

Goes without saying that I'm participating. Off to a good start, too. -
The His Dark Materials trilogy is my all-time favorite series of books in existence, and one of my greatest inspirations as a musician. Personally, I think each book was better than the last, and I'm really hoping they didn't fuck it up too bad for this movie. Obviously, I haven't gotten to see it yet, but... I'm curious to see how they'll deal with the pair of homosexual angels who make their appearance later on in the series. Y'know, Baruch and Balthamos? Will they cut them out entirely, or leave them in with their homosexuality removed? The latter would definitely detract from the story, but I can't see any possible way they'll leave that little tidbit in tact.

Spike TV's VG Awards very disappointing...
Beatdrop replied to BardicKnowledge's topic in General Discussion
Well, while the jokes were stupid, and some of the hosts were a bit out-of-place, I was really happy to see Bioshock take their Game of the Year award. It bodes well for Ken Levine and, dare I say, a System Shock 3? If only they could reattain the rites to the damn name... but names aren't everything. -
Hot shit. I can see what you've spent many of your waking hours doing ;D

This probably could have fallen into that DDR thread, where ever it went, but I guess if you want to specifically restrict it to Stepmania discussion... I guess... here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eq_5ydw-6lc Details are in the info on the YouTube page.

My condolences to Rueben's family during this time when they're trying to cope with such a sad incident. So very tragic. He will be missed by many. -
Hy Bound - Spirits of China RE-WORKED (WIP)
Beatdrop replied to Hy Bound's topic in Post Your Original Music!
Sounds pretty damn good. Nice use of dynamics and the mastering (even through MySpace), sounds top notch. Not really sure what else to say. -
Are you fuckin' serious? Damn, now I'm wishing I'd gotten stationed there. It'd be WILD to go into a club and hear them playing my tracks.

Well, Summer Sadness wasn't an album so much as it was a DJ Mix. Every now and then, I'll make one of those and maybe throw one of my songs in for good measure, but usually it's all music of a particular style that I'm extremely fond of. I've made four original albums to date, with this song being one of the tracks for inclusion on the fifth (still in production). The last two albums, Everlast and In The Dark are available for sale on a track-by-track basis at my Broadjam page for a mere $.99 a pop: http://www.broadjam.com/beatdrop They were free originally, but it's been long enough, and anyone who cared enough to keep tabs on it from the beginning got it when it was released.

Download Here. Another sampling from the forthcoming album 'Revolution'

That'd probably be a good place to start

Right on! You should, like, e-mail that information to Konami. Maybe they'll feel more inclined to use MORE of my music.
-
Dunno, really. It just kind of happens. I have so many many many project files that consist of nothing more than a drum beat. I should make a loop library.

Well, here's the OLD one... (for comparison) http://beatdrop.paletteswap.com/studio-old-001.jpg http://beatdrop.paletteswap.com/studio-old-002.jpg And here's the current one, in my barracks room at Pearl Harbor: Movies are one of my greatest inspirations.

Hah, sometimes I do. But usually I'm in too much of a creative stream-of-consciousness-esque flow to stop and label my shit. And usually, after I get done, uh, slaving over a song for 5 or 6 hours, I don't feel like doing it after finishing the song. So... I just say "fuck it" and put the patterns in some kind of order and leave it at that.
-
Oh, and as a side note, this is the exact same version of the song as the album version. I didn't swap out any plugins or anything. This was just one of those experiments to try making something sound good using all the default plugs.

http://beatdrop.paletteswap.com/Supernovatomic.zip Just open it into FL Studio. As long as you've got a version of FL more recent than 5, you're good to go. Who knows, maybe you'll learn something new... Feel free to hit me with any questions about how or why I do the things I do.

OverClocked ReMix Rock Opera Project- Need musicians!
Beatdrop replied to DjSammyG's topic in General Discussion
So, uh, I guess I could help out! Prolly! All my shit is made for me by computers, though, so... most I could do that would be realistic is program some... realistic programmed drums? I can also do vocals. Sort of. My voice isn't phenomenal, but if it involves screaming and growling (a la industrial), I'm pretty good at that.
