Hey, just wanted to drop in to say that "Discovery" is brilliant. Just brilliant.

Backstabbing is both easier and harder at the same time now:
Harder because:
1. The range is shorter.
2. The area considered the back is smaller.
Easier because:
1. If you are close enough to backstab, the crit animation is nearly instant. No more 2 second stab.
All in all, I find it easier to stab now, provided I don't click too early. Medics and Scouts are still hard to hit, but everyone else is easier.
Of course, I have a lot less time to play TF2 now than I used to, at least on Monday - Thursday.
Rambo's shameful show of spy skills happened before the update, so you can't blame it on that.

The conceit: a comic strip form the early 20th century about a pair of vagabond felines--with a twist.
That was surprisingly unfunny. I was expecting great things from such a promising concept, but I only chuckled at a few out of the hundred or so I read.

Anyway, sometimes I actually uber to get past a chokepoint protected by good snipers. It's kind of a waste, but it's better than getting headshotted.

Yeah, if money is no object a PSP is a better choice. The DS is really not ideal for anything besides DS games, unless you're really into touch-sensitive apps like Colors, World of Sand, Crayon Physics, etc. But then again, if money is no object, you could get an iPod Touch or even one of these babies.

I tried to vote for the pictures that most fit the theme. Where's Pyro from? The picture didn't really convey any "femme fatale" for me, but probably because I don't know the character.
It's kind of an inside joke because nobody knows what's behind the mask.

See, I miss the music perhaps MORE than I miss the hand-drawn animation, though I suppose I miss both. Count me in the apparently rare minority of folks who think the Lion King was poop, because in my opinion Alan Menken and Howard Ashman/Tim Rice were the absolute shit - Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and especially Aladdin all had epic soundtracks with great lyrics. THAT's what I miss, and it's been gone for quite awhile.
No one shoots like Gaston.

Has anyone thought about contacting djp and converting this into an actual selectable forum skin? That seems preferable to banging your head on the wall hacking the CSS. And at the very least it wouldn't break every time the forums are upgraded.
Or is there other fancy CSS stuff at work here that you can't do with the vB skin editor? -

It took me 20 minutes to grab some samples and build the greatest most playable free drum kit I've ever had using only MS Wordpad. And its all non-proprietary.

I just found out about this myself, and I'll definitely be trying it when I get a chance to head back home and pick up my ATI 3D Rage edition.
I am tempted to buy the TE but I read that they changed the environments and the background music is set to shuffle, both of which I feel are anathema.
