  1. i think i'm leaning towards a psp. i like the lineup of games (being more towards mature games). assuming that the snes and gba emulators work fine, i think that that's the turning point for me. not like i'll have issues working with a memory stick (i own a bunch of both mini-sd cards and memory sticks).

i'm thinking of getting a ps3 once the price goes down, in about six or eight months - are there any psp-ps3 features i should know about?

You can remote into your PS3 over the Internet using your PSP, from anywhere you can get a wireless connection. You won't be able to play PS3 or PS2 content, but you can stream MP3s and videos, and depending on your connection might even get a decent framerate on PS1 games (assuming you get one with backwards compatibility).

  2. PSP has Disgaea too.

SNES emulation is mediocre at best for the NDS. Again, if emulation is important to you, PSP is the way to go.

Also flashcards have dropped in price significantly. If you're paying any more than $20 for anything not made by CycloDS, you're getting ripped off.

And yes, Colors! is excellent. :) DSOrganize is a no-brainer as well - calendar, notepad, doodlepad, file browser, web browser, irc client, media player (even plays MODs and stuff), etc. Pretty much makes your DS a gimpy PocketPC. :D Nitrotracker is cool too; you can make samples with the built-in mic! That and/or Korg DS-10 might be something you'd find useful if you get musical ideas on the go often.

  3. Yeah even if you don't like any PSP games, if PS1 games and emulation are your bag, you'll want the PSP. Whereas with the DS you'll pretty much have to actually like the games and/or have a lot of friends you want to play with to justify getting one. There are some neat homebrew apps, so if you're interested in those we can help you with getting started in that regard too.

  4. Well depends on what you mean by "work well." Any 3-D game can be viewed in stereo, as shifting the camera angle for every frame is a pretty trivial operation. Nvidia's been doing this for a while with special shutter glasses, but it never caught on, especially since nowadays LCDs don't have a high enough refresh rate to support more than 30fps.

This just might be enough for me to go Crossfire though.

  5. Er, why's this in WAV format?

That said, this is actually a very nice arrangement, which is exactly what "ReMix" means at this site. You may have to work on making the transitions more elaborate, since it's seen as a negative if you just string themes together. Alternatively you could cut some themes out and develop the rest more thoroughly.

Otherwise, I'd say this is pretty submittable. You'll have to render it to MP3 of course though (might have to use 160 or 128kbps to get it under 6MB).

Do you have any other stuff, BTW? I'd be interested in hearing it.

  6. So I just bought a PocketPC secondhand from a friend. Vast improvement over my old phone, and doesn't cost extra on the plan. It has Windows Mobile 5 and I want to upgrade it to 6, but I have no idea how and neither does the guy I bought it from (he never upgraded Mobile OS). How does one go about upgradinng?

Typically you'll check the website of the company that made your PPC, since the upgrades are device-specific. If they don't have anything, chances are that you won't be able to upgrade, although it's possible there might be third-party versions floating around.

  7. Already know I'll be looping this one for a while...

The rapping is pretty tight, but I agree that it is a little abrupt not only because of how late it comes in, but the stuff that you hear before it doesn't really indicate anything is coming. For example, it might've fit better sooner after the break at 3:01.

And then it disappears as quickly as it appeared. An extra verse would've been appreciated. It also sounds very "close," which probably isn't a bad thing, it just caught me off guard.

Overall, very impressed by this remix, and hoping you'll do more. It's only a matter of time before we see a YouTube of this over the House, M.D. intro. :D
