  1. What metallic instrument is that in the beginning of this song? and in this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qT_MpNc3noA (especially this one).
  2. It was pure curiosity XD. *"don't look if you're squeamish"* "hmmm.....those cakes couldn't be that bad....they're cakes." *clicks on link* "Why did I have to see those cakes...(sigh), Curiosity." No not you rover, down boy, down.
  3. Happy B-day Prophecy. Chimpazilla, those cakes are absolutely gross.....ew. I went straight from laughter to absolute disgust . Who would eat that?
  4. I use Musescore which is similar to Finale, and is also free. You can export .wavs, midis, and etc. It can be used for Orchestra, piano, and several other instruments. It's a great program considering that it's free. http://musescore.org/
  5. Edit: Thanks for you help in the RMWtS Compo.! :)

  6. Expect some 6-8 minute songs then . @Kuolema: I think it might mean that. Kind of like Space Junk Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy. (First song that came to my mind). It has a real ending and still loops, most of the galaxy songs do. Wait....but 90% (guess) of video game music loops itself (minus themes, endings, and etc. ). So we'd end up looping most of our songs...if I'm interpreting the loop thing correctly. Edit: Ohhh, this could go into the enjoyable category. VGM songs that loop are/usually are enjoyable and pleasant to listen to over and over again. It's what is usually strived for so that the feel of the level is maintained.
  7. I'm joining this as well . Originals are waay easier to churn out.
  8. Awww Yeah . When does this play in the game? (what hapens to promt this song to start). Edit: Never mind, I've already got the feel to this.
  9. Wow. I listen to A Lot of Classical, and you captured the era perfectly .
  10. I like the Winter feel that this gives off, and where this track is going. I liked your Dragon Wings ReMix by the way . It helped me when I was beginning to write Orchestral songs about 2 months into composing, which was about 9-8 months ago. Definitely finish this one .
  11. Any issues from my track that you think that I need to learn, which is probably a lot . All partial joking aside . How do you prevent your track from being too soft in volume? While keeping the instruments clear and audible. Was this an issue in the .wav I sent you?
  12. I learned a lot by watching as well , and I'm beginning to find my workflow between DAW and Notation (Musescore). (exporting .wavs, and midis to the DAW). Edit: Also, The Reverb .wavs helped with the String sounds as well.
  13. I imagine that that's how Banjo feels when he's a washing machine, wondering what people are putting in him..... But Yeah, the song does give that kind of a feeling, and an industrial factory feel as well.
  14. When you say that I automatically think of Life in the Mines from Donkey Kong Country.
  15. Edit: Never Mind. I'm watching this right now .
  16. Banjo-Kazooie, Tooie, and Grunty's Revenge are all part of my childhood. I practically remember every song from those games. So when I get a little better at using my DAW, then I'll see if I can do something, and if I can then I'll let you know . Currently working on the RMWtS compo, and I need to do something for the DK64 album, so we'll see. It's definitely something that's on my list of to-do's , but this is a huge Maybe. Edit: The game takes place two months after the events in Banjo-Kazooie.
  17. Is Banjo-Kazooie Grunty's Revenge for the GBA going to be on the album since this is a tribute to banjo-kazooie? Just Curious .
  18. His a capella reminds me of this wonderful OCR tune by Harmony. http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01346/. OCR needs a barbershop quartet . That would be awesome.
  19. Trying to figure out what new instruments should be added to the next section of a song to make it flow. Or, having an idea in your head...and not knowing what instrument or sound it is.
  20. Man that's awesome. Some needs to do a ReMix with this man. His a capella songs are suuper catchy.
  21. I know , but that was my slightly opening myself up, which can be hard to do. Letting your emotions flow while you craft (90%), is basically what I meant. The other does happen to me as well .
  22. Let your emotions flow through your music, and once you do.....then anything is possible.
  23. This happens waaaaay to often; but, then I usually find my way around it. Mostly because of what Theory of N said "we NEVER run out of creativity." @Timaeus222: I love it when I accidentally stumble on a new idea, or accidentally do something that turns out good.
