  1. I went to this thread before, but I somehow missed Bustatunez tutorial . Thanks for bumping this. @YunTajento: As for the 60 day trial thing. I'll post here tomorrow about that, mines is supposed to end today.
  2. XD That’s true, I do like and prefer Sonic . We only need one more Sonic sign-up, considering that therex already switched to Sonic. We need one more person who has " a need for speed", or one more person to get us "up, over, and gone" over this last hurdle so that this competition can begin, because "we're waitiiing" for this competition to start. So many Sonic quotes, XD Edit: I should note that we have three more days until Sunday, which is plenty of time for someone else to sign up. (Read the front page for reference ). @therex: Toxic Caves is an amazing song. I loved playing Sonic Spinball as a kid .
  3. Does anybody remember the show Kikaider? Its theme was amazing. (Theme of Gemini).
  4. Original Submitted ! This song caused me to learn a lot, by being an original, and I figured out how to do some new things .
  5. My Choice Changes (Final): Sonic: 1. Sonic the Hedgehog 06' - Aquatic Base (Level 1) 2. Sonic Unleashed - Jungle Joyride (Night) 3. Sonic and the Secret Rings - Skeleton Dome (White of Sky) 4. Sonic the Hedgehog 06' - Kingdom Valley (Water) Mega Man: 1. Mega Man 6 - Wind Man 2. Mega Man 6 - Centaur Man 3. Mega Man 2 - Wood Man 4. Mega Man 2 – Elec Man I gave this a lot of thought, so these will be my last changes. I still prefer Sonic the Hedgehog. Thanks Darke .
  6. Aw Man XD, those songs were amazing! Oh well, I'll look to see what else I could chose, but I hope that I can keep them . (Maybe this issue will pave the way for a future ZX/Zero Compo. , because I believe that X has already been done.) Also, I'm not sure how to change my picks in the Google docs... Edit: Yeah, I don't think that they'll be allowed. I'll search for a replacement song, thanks for the early heads up!
  7. I really wasn't sure before, so thanks guys . Also, would White of Sky from Sonic and the Secret Rings be eligible? or a Sonic and the Black Knight Song? I'm not fully sure which Sonic games aren't allowed. Which is why I am asking X). I have sooo much to do, so joining might not be a good idea......but if Secret Rings is okayed....
  8. You could call Haze Maze Cave this: Swirling Depths of the Hazy Maze and you could call the Ending: 64-Bit Journey (Nutri should get that little joke ).
  9. Hey Darke, When you say only zones; does that exclude games like Sonic Heroes, because the levels in the game don't end with the word "zone". Just wondering. Also, I love this concept . You have no idea how much I love Sonic. That was my childhood, from the Genesis to the Wii.
  10. Wouldn't it just be easier if Draconiator’s vote was the tie breaking vote? Just as Superior X’s vote was the tie breaking vote in the SZRC…
  11. Wow, this is going to make me step outside of my usual genre, but I still have an idea. Count me in this as on Monday. I have a DK64 Album commitment to attend too .
  12. Searching for the right song to help you is just as important as the song itself. Try searching in the music search tab by typing in any key words that describe you or how you feel. Hope this helps .
  13. I'll sign up as a novice again, but it'll mean that I'll have some serious work to do, given how busy things might get...but I can do it X). King Tiger, I still remember this "Hello everybody my name is King Tiger, and I'm not just some rapper for hire" (I know, that was Gario's mix. But I still remember it).
  14. I don’t want this Crash game to possibly be excluded from his bio X). The villains are Cortex and Doctor Nefarious Tropy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crash_Bandicoot_2:_N-Tranced Keep it up guys!!
  15. Also, the true boss on Corneria in Star Fox 64. "You'll never defeat Androoo *ship expodes out of existence* ooooossssss".
  16. 1. Tanooki Mario 2. Vector the Crocodile 3. Rudy Roughnight
  17. No one's mentioned Quark yet ?!? This guy was funny.
  18. Wow , Thanks for the in-depth comments. I'll see if there's a way to temporarily shut of the vibrato on an instrument in my Notation Software, right now I don't believe that there is, but I'll look into it (I used to play as well , cello). So I agree with what your saying about the use of vibrato. *looks up might and magic 6 & 7* XD, oh man. There's a lot of landscape and scenery that I could definitely compose to in that game. Have you ever played Quest 64? (I love that game). Thanks for your comments . Edit: Ya know.....I actually think that I may possibly have a solution to the vibrato factor. I'll try it as soon as I can.
  19. I just had an idea. What if the week break was used for sign-ups for the next round?
  20. Agreed. The Criteria is listed here. http://ocremix.org/info/Submission_Standards_and_Instructions. This thread list some updates that have been made to the criteria http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=38885&page=4.
  21. Minor additions or variations?? Come on ecto, throw out some ideas . I like the way that things are currently run as well. Did some of my ideas seem like a drastic change?? To clarify, each idea could be used during one round or something. Really?? The more that I think about this video idea, the more complicated that it seems. All in all, a RMWtS format would work. It could be done like this. (RMWtS) “Your source must be A. or B.” (MRI) “Your genre must be (Trance, etc.), or create the feeling of (a desert, etc.)”. All based off of the source that Draconiator provides us with.
  22. You could mix things up by sometimes removing the genre restriction. Take this image for example, "Try to capture the feeling that this world portrays”. (Example) In a sense this does provide a restriction/mix-up, because I doubt that someone would make an Aquatic Ambience type song for a Dry Dry Desert (Paper Mario 64) Picture. Any genre can describe something, so you could say that we have to capture the feeling of something, with any genre we’d like to use. I think that I have what I’m trying to say together now. Themes, cut scenes, credits, and intro songs could have a genre restriction/instrumentation limitation. While worlds, courses, scenery, and landscapes could be “free range”, as long as we capture the feeling of the place. What do you guys think about this idea? Edit: If there’s a theme or cut scene you could try to find it on Youtube or something and post it here. So that we can literally write to it.
  23. I tied??? I didn’t even vote for myself (1st, 2nd, or, 3rd). I voted for everyone else. Great entries everyone, looking forward to the next round!
  24. I love this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nq59Pq9uGXk. This is the kind of song that could use some sixto love….it’s perfect .
  25. Swiftom, I agree with you completely. Big Blue would be an amazing game if they scaled it down, asked for less, and got it released. I actually don’t think that there are that many new underwater games that would actually catch people’s attention like this one would. I think that a publisher would be willing to back a scaled down version of their idea. After all, they have had some work with some successful games, and they’ve already gotten started to some degree as well. I’m looking forward to seeing what they can accomplish in the future .
