  1. Steam has a trading card beta. You get trading cards by playing certain games on Steam. You combine a set of cards into a badge. Then you get cool cosmetic stuff, similar to being The Dude and getting a new rug. It doesn't really do anything, but it really ties the room together. I'd like to have your trading cards. Err I mean, discuss trading cards and marketplace stuff here. I was a bit upset to see Steam had basically made their own "Real money auction house", which is something that outraged people about Diablo 3, but it doesn't seem to be bothering anyone else. So whatevs. I'm getting into it but I don't want to spend any money on it. I have made 10 cents by selling a beta invite.
  2. This looks like the single best 3D Sonic game of all time. ALL time. Better than EVERY 3D iteration of Sonic that has ever been made.
  3. I'm pretty excited for E3 just because I know the stuff coming to Ps4 is going to be awesome but also likely will be on PC, especially third party stuff. Not the exclusives, of course. Though I think not putting the new ps4-exclusive Final Fantasy also on PC is a terrible business move. :3 Unless, of course, Sony is pumping enough cash into its exclusives to support the devs, then it's ok. I guess. But not for PC gamers.
  4. This is an impressive arrangement, and very enjoyable despite a little pitchiness in the vocals. This is vastly different from what I plan to do with the same sources. I felt like there could have been more personalization in the piece to make it your own (apart from doing it as acapella, of course)
  5. Elizabeth is Gob from Arrested Development
  6. My brother and I share Xbox360 games all the time (and PS3 games too for that matter). If the thing about sharing games with 10 family members, unlimited, is true, then that will be awesome. We could both just buy 1 game and then share it. But I doubt it will work that way, AND I doubt we'll both buy Xbones. Probably neither of us. But that one simple feature is the best thing I've heard-that-probably-isn't-legit of all the info ever.
  7. Troy Baker? How about Joy Behar? Ha ha ha ha ha ha...... (ffx laugh) What I'd like to see voice acting-wise, to go with what I posted earlier, I think they should try to find some people who sound real despite going for a more fantasy setting. Part of the problem lately has been the writing. Everything is so over the top and the way it is voiced really over-emphasizes all of the cheese. They need natural writing and natural voices. And whether they choose to represent the characters as kids or adults, they should stay away from forced "tough guy" dialogue and just keep it real. Eh? I really like the FFX voices even if others don't. And I also thought the voices were terrible and one-dimensional in FF13 and that's basically what I am hoping they avoid for the future. Here's SE's E3 line-up not including FF titles: http://www.videogamer.com/ps4/thief/news/square_enix_reveals_e3_2013_line-up.html Doesn't look too interesting. Here's more info on Murdered: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/410581/square-enix-releases-murdered-soul-suspect-details-and-trailer/ Sounds......... overly cheesy. EDIT: But after watching the trailer it looks amazing, great voice acting, and it's on PC. I'mma get.
  8. I haven't heard recent tales stuff. But still, I love his style, and he makes an immense amount of music. He's probably working on 3 soundtracks as we speak. I don't think he'd drop the ball with Final Fantasy
  9. Yeah well I mean it's what I'd like to see, I really loved the FF8 style and I have had that game on my mind a lot but I'm kind of weary of SE's attempts at the photo-realistic sword and gun-based game based in reality... I think they've had enough attempts at that lately and Versus 13 if it ever comes out will be that type of game... So yeah I'd like to see something completely different.
  10. I'll be the first to say what I WANT from Final Fantasy XV, although this is about as likely as Square being bought by Yahoo and becoming successful again. I want to see it have a unique art style, what comes to mind is FF: Crystal Chronicles. Also FF9 comes to mind as something clearly different, art-wise, from every other FF game. Maybe a more cutesy style with less "photo-realism" and more focus on refined graphics and augmented environmental effects (ashes, sun rays, dust particles floating around, all that cool stuff that makes games seem really beautiful and high end) High-end graphic quality and smoothing, not like these half-baked remakes they're doing now with all the polygons and lack of AA. If they don't hire Nobuo Uematsu which is ideal, they should get Motoi Sakuraba. And finally, it should be released on PC. Hopefully the new President realizes the importance of PC releases, even if Tomb Raider didn't do particularly well. I can tell you it's not because there was a PC version, if anything that would help sell more than just having it on a console. So there's what I want. I guess I basically just described Blue Dragon. But if they did Blue Dragon meets FF9 and focused on better storylines and characters, I think it could be the upswing that they need, not to mention a great game.
  11. Maybe a little early to jump on this, but with E3 only a matter of maybe 5 days away (which will be passed before we know it), I am 99.9% certain that Final Fantasy XV is going to be announced. I think it'd be a bad move if it wasn't. Smart money has been on Versus 13 being renamed to Final Fantasy XV, which may be the case -- we'll have to see. I hope the additional rumor that it is being moved to the PS4 is not true, although a version on PS3 and PS4 would not be bad at all. But Square-Enix also teased (that's about all they did) at the PS4 conference about a big announcement at the upcoming E3, about a "brand new final fantasy game". I don't think that could be Versus, because they specifically said it was "new". So this thread is for discussion of Final Fantasy XV when it is INEVITABLY announced in a few days. What would you like to see from the game in terms of art style or atmosphere? Do you think Squeenix will be able to break away from the generic style of FF13 and "Angi's Philosophy"?
  12. I edited the BadAss 2 website and sent it off to Puga in email, so that should be good, not that I think there was any rush on that, considering FF6 should be out next and if they released this before it, I think there'd be irrational hate given that is not deserved by the album, simply for not being FF6. But on to more pleasant concepts.... I want to give you guys an opportunity to vote for a boss theme for me to cover for Volume 3. I don't think it's appropriate to post those votes here, but if you'd like to leave me a VISITOR MESSAGE with a boss suggestion / youtube link to their music, that would be great. If nobody votes for an awesome boss theme, I might just have to choose my own. Maybe something from one of these new games that are coming out.
  13. It certainly is, Brad. I've seen reviews harping on the combat, which I've found to be absolutely fluid and immersive. I've seen reviews harping on the gameplay / platforming which I've also found to be incredibly immersive. It's almost like half of the reviewers loved the game, and half of them wanted to be paid to love the game. At any rate, in addition to these other great aspects of the game, the freaking soundtrack, man! Nuff said. The WHOLE THING is as quality as that. Also it's on Spotify if you want to give it a peep, search for the composer, Oliver Deriviere I think was his name.
  14. Man, I should have offered this sooner, I'm sorry. But I'd be willing to help you get Sturm up to snuff for Volume 3 even though I didn't wanna do V3... I'm coming around to it, I may do it. But I definitely wanna help with your song. But I think we should reform some of it, maybe remove the "Are You Metal?" homages and completely rewrite the lyrics, which I could do if I was doing vocals. Also I could mix and master it if you want, or help you do it. Just offering. :-)

  15. Yurp, gotta edit the website and send it back to Puga, then this should be on the way to release I'd think.
  16. Not that it's any of your business, but I requested that ban. If you don't believe me, ask stiva in #dragonsweyr But like I said, not your business. And not relevant to the topic either. And I merely said this being a "full-blown HD remake" is debatable, not that I was going to debate it. To be absolutely fair, you were also banned at my request at the same time for what you've done, so maybe it is slightly your business. But my reasons for wanting to be banned are my own, and so far I have really enjoyed focusing on real-life things that are important.
  17. Yeah it was space bar / jump button. I just started Episode 4. This game is beautiful, soundtrack is great, combat is super fluid... so good. That makes Capcom look better IMO. At least they PUBLISHED this and weren't bitching about a strong female character being the lead. This game is so good. If it doesn't sell, you can't blame Capcom for that. Well, unless you do it from a marketing / exposure viewpoint or something.
  18. While releasing trailers for a 10+ year old game is redundant (especially with all the polygons and lack of AA OH LAWD) it's good for hype, I guess? But releasing E3 trailer early seems overly silly. I pre-ordered this thing a few days ago cause I wanted the book.
  19. To repeat, I really love this game, but OH LAWD, in the fight against Kid X-Mas I have no idea what the hell the final button presses should be, it gives no indication. What the heck is dot with a half spin? I tried spinning the mouse, no go.
  20. This game is SO good. I am glad I pre-ordered it, and glad that my pre-orders this year have all been met with really quality games. I don't know if it has been luck, or if we're headed into a better quality era of gaming. I hadn't heard a rumor that Capcom wanted lead to be male, OR seen any gender-based advertising for the game. No idea where you went to see any of that, or the legitimacy of that statement, but I find it hard to believe. In short, I recommend this game.
