It's not a question of soulful music... if someone works with a song that annoys them in some way, the song will not be good. It has nothing to do with attention whoring, emotional performances, or anything of that nature. x_x

I meant a negative personal emotional reaction to a song. I don't choose songs to remix based on how it'd make other people feel. And I often remix from games I've never played.. if I'm able to play them I do though, with roms or whatnot.

Ignoring a game series because it's particularly well done and beautiful makes no sense. Would you do the same to a woman with similar adjectives? Nerds! I wouldn't avoid a series just because the music was so good that everyone liked it. That would be more reason for me to cover the music, because the music is GOOD, and people like it. I like it. It means something to me. I may avoid working with sources or games (or people) that have a negative emotional attachment to them.

I think youtube has made it easier for folks... Find a gameplay footage on youtube that has their licensing set to allow their video to be remixed or reused, and nab it from that. But honestly, it shouldn't matter... I think Jose used Youtube footage for the Teen Agent trailer for OCR... I think there'd only be a problem if you tried to profit off of it but that's not even worth mentioning because I know you aren't. So. *shrug*. I've seen some good SD3 footage on Youtube, go for it! Can people actually own a copyright on game footage? I think not

I really enjoyed this song. I thought the guitars were a lot louder than the drums. The ending just after the solo with the lead guitar and violin playing together was really great.

When I heard this in the preview I was like "What? that's ridiculous get outta here" But now that I hear the ACTUAL SONG as a whole and without being sandwiched between 2 electronica clips, it's flippin' awesome! Possibly the most legit funky remix ever to grace the site. Jordanius you got skills, brutta.

Aight. I listened to it, it was 'berry' cool. I could probably fit what I had in mind inside of what you have, just grab up your midi data, slap it in cubase... and start recording real bass and some wah-wah geetar.

Please do not mashup Nier with Gerudo. Nier has an amazing soundtrack that can more than stand on its own, and gerudo has been done a time or two before. Having said that, the vocal line at 0:57 is the only bit recognizable from the source.. I know that would probably be enough for ocr in the end but as someone who really loves this soundtrack, it'd be cool if you could work in more connections to the source. (Ed. - maybe draw some elements from the , as it is the same song but arranged with more electronic instrumentation)Over 2 minutes and you didn't even hit the chorus hahah.. nice work

Nah I didn't really read that much of the email, because it usually just contains stuff from the thread, I figured I had read it here Also there was some confusion as to whether I would re-roll z_z

It would have only taken one post to clarify what was going on when everyone was asking what was going on... A lot of people work full time jobs... it doesn't usually cause them to completely stop doing things that they're interested in doing. I love ya both and no hate, but you can't set the blame squarely on everyone else..

It's possible to have quality AND quantity, I think MMX proved that -- It also has a lot of diversity, but the definitive MegaMan sound is intact with each song, that is to say the remixes were done well, they fit amongst each other.
