  1. Honestly, I've never paid attention to these things in True Pianos. I just don't know how to automate them. I did go to Tools > Last tweaked to create an automation clip, but that isn't doing anything.
  2. I can't seem to automate the "Reverb Amount" "Keyboard Dynamics" on True Pianos. I can manually adjust them, but that's not what I want. I'll take a listen to your remix.
  3. I never really thought about it that way. I'll do that when I get home. Thanks a lot you two.
  4. Unfortunately, I have no MIDI keyboard at hand. So what I should do is slightly move the notes a tad to the left or right of the grid to give it more of a humanized feel. As for the uploaded piano section, is there anything else I can do to make it sound more realistic as far as sound goes? This is going to be apart of an electronic dance music remix, but I'd like to use the piano for this specific thing, which is why there is a lot of silence in between, because other instruments are going to fill those spaces.
  5. Aside from just changing the velocity of the notes of the piano, what could I do to make the piano VST TruePiano sound more authentic, or at least get close to sounding authentic? This section below has reverb and the note velocity has been changed to give it a non-robotic sound. But is there anything more I can do to make it sound realistic? Update
  6. I'm not sure what you mean by you not having any equipment. If you have software to make music, then that's all that's really needed. Unless you plan on doing some audio recordings live or something. I like the beginning with what sounds like a filtered clap. The the kick has a nice pumping sound and I like the subtle sounds behind it. I'm not really good when it comes to EQing, compression, and whatnot, so I'll leave that to anyone who knows that stuff. My problem is that the piano is really repetitive. I can hear where the chord progressions are from, but it doesn't go anywhere else like it does in the original. I don't know if you went with your ear and tried to find certain sections, but I wouldn't be against finding sheet music or MIDI even and altering it to your liking.
  7. I never knew about what Gario said about openings and homepage music being a no-go for OCRemixes. I do like this, though. Maybe if you were to throw in something from a Nintendo video game along with this, perhaps it could get reviewed. I mean, this is pretty catchy.
  8. The thing about this is that it sticks to the source completely without actually taking a different direction. It's too much like the original.
  9. In 2300 AD, emotions become less authentic and more artificial, as if robots are replacing humans. This remix honestly made me feel uneasy.
  10. Oh god! xD I'm sorry, but I can't help but laugh because I've always wondered if someone would do a remix from this game. Your remix sounds like it stepped out of the 80's, and that's really cool. I thoroughly enjoyed this more than I'd like to admit since this game has a bad rep.
  11. I was never a fan of Dance of Sadness in PoR, even though that game has a great OST. I like this remix more with its glitchy sounds and sort of mysterious vibe. Good job!
  12. I wasn't aware there were any remixes of this game. This is the first one I've heard and like NintendoLover94, this is nostalgic. Now I want to play Animal Crossing.
  13. You're referring to the anvil hit as the downbeat, correct? The second and forth hit after the 4/4 drum beat? If so, I'll work on that. I wish I had better quality sound speakers than the ones in my laptop. I may have to invest in getting a cord that'll let me hear things more clearly.
  14. OK desu ka? I saw EarthBound and had to take a listen! I really like the sounds and it would be cool if Nintendo made an EarthBound game with music as quirky as the original and like this.
  15. Hey, thanks! I'll take any advice and suggestions that I can. As for swapping high and low voices, what do you mean by that? Like place treble into bass and bass into treble?
  16. I know what you mean. I didn't want to boost the sounds of everything up, but I probably should up the lead a tad. Maybe it's EQing issues. I don't know. I'll have to play around with that. The song does end abruptly and it actually is going to transition into another part as you expected it. I just haven't gotten around to what I'd like to do next, though. Maybe return back to the original section or go into a completely different thing. I wanted to grab some of the spirit of the original as you put it, but then there is that melodic breakbeat section thrown in the mix. I wanted to alter the notes a bit and see what it would sound like. I've got to say, I'm actually happy with it so far. I was thinking of maybe adding vocoded vocals saying, "Welcome to the factory, in Saturn Valley," repeat that a few times, and then to end it off, "Enjoy your stay!" Anyway, I'll continue this.
  17. I love EarthBound and the music it has. Unfortunately, if it ever came around to me trying to remix every EarthBound song, I can't say I'd enjoy doing so. Saturn Valley in particular isn't that interesting to me, but for some reason, I figured I'd give it a shot. Original Remix
  18. Usually what melodic dubstep does. Anyway, this track has a very dreamy trance feeling to it, which was enjoyable to listen to.
  19. I'm liking that Orbital sounding bass that comes in at 0:12. The guitar and hits were a cool add, but I felt up until the 2:44 mark that it was dragged out. I think the 2:44 mark could have been pushed further down to reduce the duration of what I'm guessing is the intro? That's the feeling I got from that, anyway. Corneria is one of my favorite Star Fox tracks. If I were you, I'd try to somehow fit Eladard into this. The beginning of that track sort of has a similarity to Corneria and I think it could really add more to your remix. You don't have to, though, it's just a suggestion. Here is Eladard.
  20. New upload. I'm still bad at EQing and stuff. I threw in a different melody in the earlier parts and eventually the track landed into sort of a different genre. I could attempt to go dubstep with it, but that'll require some changes. Also, I'm not sure if I should use the trophy theme or not. I'm bad at explaining things. Things will become clearer if you listen.
  21. I'm not familiar with Sector X, but this sounds pretty legit. I hope you're able to find a female vocalist for this.
  22. I have to agree a lot with what DJ H0us3C0rP3 said. The Mario vocals are overly used this time around. What you had previously, I felt was fine. As for presets and plug-ins, the last time I checked, there were some freebie synths on this site you could download for free. I use a plug-in called Massive. I could try to find the application on my laptop and send it your way, but I won't make any promises.
  23. It's very repetitive, which is what techno is basically supposed to be. But if you were to submit this, then I don't think it would be accepted due to repetition and because it really doesn't go anywhere else and just loops. But all hope for a techno remix isn't lost. You can easily introduce different progressions to the track to transform it into something different that would help break away from the repetitiveness and then bring it back. You don't want to stray too far from the original or it'll no longer be Mario. You could also try to tie in other familiar melodies from the Mario franchise. I know it would no longer be just Space Zone 2, but it's worth trying out. I think the Mario vocals are fine as they're syncing to the track. I would try to make the bass more noticeable. I know it's there, but as Greymanz stated, nothing really pops out. I would say you're on a fine start, though.
  24. Pretty nice sounding. This was one of my favorite themes in OoE, behind Unholy Vespers. Parts of Wandering the Crystal Blue reminds me of something out of James Bond. Would've been cool if there was a choir in the backdrop at certain parts, but that's just me. Overall, I like it.
  25. I was going to ask about the Mario theme as well, but I forgot to. I thought maybe he was throwing in two remixes.
