  1. My greatest shame: I never beat Link's Awakening. I got to some part where you're supposed to find some leaves or something and for the life of me I couldn't find them all and after hours and hours I finally gave up and I haven't touched the game since. That was probably 15 years ago. My second greatest shame: I didn't beat Chrono Trigger until after the advent of practical SNES emulation (thank you ZSNES), despite actually owning the game.
  2. is that.. is that some suburban commando... i see what you did there

  3. Is there a difference? Neither place has broadband.
  4. NAY Downloadable content and online distribution in general is the worst thing to happen to video games since the death of functional netcode circa 1999. It's ignorantly elitist at best, and at worst it's downright caste discrimination. What I'm talking about doesn't affect those of you fortunate enough to live in the first world, but for those of us in the rest of the world, our opportunities are being cut out along with the middle man. Every game that goes to online only distribution is a game we will never play. A game we can't play. Say no to downloadable content and digital distribution!
  5. Oh sweet! How long have you been going to NMT? I used to hang out down there quite a bit, even played a few gigs there over the years for spring flings and 49ers and whatnot. A lot of my friends went to NMT, and a few still live in suckorro... lord knows why. Anyway, good to know I'm not the only person in central New Mexico (I'm currently living in the Belen vicinity).

  7. Well I put the NM in the thread title in caps but for some reason vB decided that was unacceptable.
  8. Once in a great while I guess I make one of these threads. It's been a long time now since the last one, and most of my fellow New Mexican brethren have since disappeared. Oh where have you gone wideruled and teknobunny? Basically, I'm wondering if there are any new people on OCR from the 505? And I guess also the 575... my how the times change. So if you're from New Mexico poast hear. Please... It scares me to think that Protricity is the closest OC ReMixer to me geographically. D:

  11. I don't understand a lick of Japanese... so don't take this the wrong way, but I found this song hilarious. Not sure if that's intentional or not. Gibberish gibberish gibberish gay men gay men. I lol'd.
  12. Even if it were old, I don't see you making a thread about it here. Whenever it originally happened.
  13. Mostly it's the part where he's playing 4/4 yet somehow counting to 5.
  14. I just got a new laptop. It's got wifi of course. I want to be able to connect to the internets via wifi through a shared connection on my desktop. Since I don't have broadband, I naturally don't have a wireless router either, so I made an adhoc wireless network. Setting this up on both computers was quick and relatively painless, and ICS seems to work in general except for one thing... IRC will not connect. At all. No matter what server I try to connect to, mIRC gives me the error "permission denied." But, the internet itself works fine (I'm writing this post from my laptop in fact). It's only IRC that seems to have the problem. So far I've tried disabling Windows Firewall on both systems and setting the adhoc network to "private" but nothing seems to have any effect. Does Vista have some kind of port blocking crap preventing me from using IRC over a shared connection? If so, how do I disable it? And if not, what else could be causing this problem? And before you say "lolool get broadband k," that is simply not an option. k Thanks in advance, afk.
  15. When I was a wee boy I had three loves, and the Ninja Turtles was one of them. I had bedspreads/sheets, lunchboxes, thermoses, shirts, pajamas, watches, even red and green plastic TMNT tennis shoes, and of course, the video games. I loved all the NES Ninja Turtles games; yes, even the first one. But, I borrowed TMNT for gamecube from one of my friends a couple years ago, and I was sadly disappointed. Hopefully this game will be a return to the greatness of old? As for my other two loves: Mario of course (I alternated regularly between my TMNT and Mario lunch boxes), and let's just say I still wanna be like Mike.
  16. out of curiosity, what mods are you running? and where can i find some? also, the future is 64-bit! ADAPT OR DIE!
  17. not to sound like a douchebag, but... why are you upgrading then, exactly? stick with XP unless you're planning on using more than 3GB of RAM and have better multicore support, in which case get vista 64. anyways, in vista 64: fl studio 8 works celemony melodyne 3 works (as does the melodyne plugin) guitar rig works addictive drums works izotope vinyl works the mda and dfx effect sets work (at least the ones i've used so far) haven't tried any of the other stuff yet. but be weary of stuff that uses dongles. some of them seem to have issues--from what i understand older syncrosoft stuff has some compatability issues. syncrosoft does have some newer drivers out, but i don't know if they work for older programs, and i couldn't tell you first hand. just a warning.
  18. way to completely take the fun out of it. why does it matter what 'style' the original songs were in? a melody is a melody is a melody.
  19. you realize you have to make this album now. or i will kill you.
  20. also, isn't this thread already in offtopic?
