  1. Thanks for the link, @DarkEco. Still one of my favorites, gonna add this to my playlist too.
  2. No need to apologize - in fact, thank you for telling me now. I'll remove your claims. I'm curious to hear this. Yeah, I know I'm being slow about putting the new SCRAMBLE WIP together with all the parts. Time to do music has been in short supply these last few weeks due to school, and I'm trying to get my own WIP going on top of the other commitments I've made. Once you have something together, let me know. Always open to new ideas! I hope to, once I get enough together to get a copy, but it's be a late Christmas present to myself if I do. If you send it, I will post....
  3. Thanks, Thirdkoopa! Anyone else need some horn from @JohnStacy for their tracks? ---- @Starphoenix has given me an update of Cyber Attack using the feedback he got. Sounding better all the time! @Thirdkoopa has given me permission to post his WIP, Contemplating the End (working title). This is a very interesting slow jazz take on Area 6 ... brimming with performer potential! @classic_gamer_76 and @TheChargingRhino have sent me another WIP of Records 1 including some work by @Pichu's Dad. Sounds great, love the variety of instrument leads here! Check them out, let us know what you think!
  4. Well, it would have helped if I had posted it yesterday after you gave me permission to... Oh, and I have PMed you the link to the sheet. _____ Anyway - @HankTheSpankTankJankerson's Meteo WIP has now been posted to the WIP spreadsheet! Please feel free to give some feedback. Thanks to everyone who gave some points on Lylat Legacy by @DS394 and Cyber Warfare by @Starphoenix!
  5. It's been awhile, but yes, I can read and write scores and sheet music as well.
  6. @Starphoenix has given me permission to post his complete (not finished) version of Cyber Warfare to the Remixer WIP spreadsheet! Take a listen and let him know what you think.
  7. I'm in. I can also do bass and tenor. And a pretty mean Bullwinkle impression.
  8. Glad to be on board! @Jorito wasn't kidding when he said we're eager - the Secret of Mana and I go WAY back and the OST remains one of my favorites to listen to today. I am excited to help make this dream a reality, and I'm looking forward to working with @HankTheSpankTankJankerson under Jorito's watchful eye to make it happen! Let the resonance begin...
  9. I had no idea this existed either ... and now I want one. I saw a band when I was growing up where the guitarist used a bow on his solo during a cover of In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins. It sounded amazing, so I tried it at home once.... and man, I could have broken windows with the sound that came out of my amp. I haven't tried it since, but I may have better luck with this... EDIT: I should add that I've been enjoying the album so far. I really like the homemade choral work - Crateria turned out GREAT, also a fan of the Miniboss theme and I really dig the atmosphere of upper Norfair.
  10. And did that stop @TheChargingRhino? Okay, I'll stop picking on you. I do appreciate you taking a step back to allow other Remixers to participate, DS, but you CAN contribute if you wish. We can worry about who gets credit for what once the track is finished. Speaking of TheChargingRhino, would she be allowed to participate in the Boss B track you're doing, @Starphoenix? She's looking for someone to collab with.
  11. Wow, was not expecting this to happen so soon. Thank you to @Starphoenix for the offer to collaborate and thank you to @Gario for the offer of 'chiptune wankery!' I'll put you both down for Boss B from Star Fox 64. Welcome aboard, Gario!
  12. I've come to the conclusion that we need a boss theme to close the first disc. Who is up for the job? I would prefer either the Corneria or Asteroid Belt boss themes from SF SNES, or one of the boss themes from SF64/Assault, but any boss theme from any of the games will do. I'd even accept something from SF Adventures, as this will be placed after @classic_gamer_76's Krazoa Palace remix. If you're interested but aren't sure which boss theme to choose, let me know I can track down some source tracks for you to go through. Please note that although I have it marked in the thread otherwise, Sargasso Space Zone is still open to claim as well.
  13. Just once, interesting choices for the new instruments, sounds a little like Alone from the Saga Frontier OST. I'll give it a proper listen tonight.
  14. Of course you can join! @TheChargingRhino has given you a pretty good run-down of what we're up to - and yes, you can certainly claim Space Armada. The tracklist is on the first page of the thread, but to save you a click, we have six tracks left open: Title Theme or Great Fox Theme Sargasso Space Zone (or a Boss Theme) Fichina The Awesome Black Hole (with Map Select, hopefully) Space Armada Out of this Dimension Check out the Project Overview if you want to hear source tracks or see where we're at. In the meantime, I'll put you down for Space Armada; let me know if you decide to go with something else. Welcome aboard! It's like PaRappa the Rapper says - you just gotta believe! Thanks for rolling out the welcome mat again, Rhino. This will take some work, as I'll have to copy everything over from the Box, update all the new links on the WIP page, then work out of two accounts every time I have an update. I can do that, but it may take me a couple of days to get to. I will advise when I've got it done. PM me if there's anything specific you'd like to listen to in the meantime and I'll see what can be done. ---- @CrimsonCobalt and @Etzaen has given the OK for their WIPs to be posted! Check them out and let us know what you think!
  15. The way I was taught improvisation on the guitar was to first find the key the song is in. Then, practice practice practice the scale of that key until you memorize the notes. After that, jam, noodle around, and experiment with the scale until you find a rhythm or progression you like and sounds good with the melody/harmony/bass/whatever accompaniment you have. Sleep on it, listen again, adjust as needed. Be aware that some songs change key mid-track or even mid-measure sometimes. Your scale will change with any key changes.
  16. Going to try this a different way. I'll PM everyone a link to the WIP spreadsheet so no one has to give me email addresses right now. For those of you reluctant to give email or personal info, please note that I will need this information when it comes time for album submission, but in the meantime, I will certainly respect your privacy if you don't want this information posted on the overview, etc.
  17. Extorted? All I did was ask! No hostages involved, I swear! LOL Je ne parle pas francais. Okay, I have built a spreadsheet like the overview where all the Remixers can listen to the current tracks. If you would like access, please PM me your email so I can share the spreadsheet with you. Reviews can be posted here - as you are all doing already. Also, please let me know if you are comfortable having your tracks posted to this spreadsheet and I will post them. EDIT: Oh, and I post the most current WIP to the spreadsheet - for example, @TheChargingRhino's synth-wave version of Clipped Wings is the one I posted, as that's the latest version she gave me.
  18. To be specific, you have two claims of your own currently (Meteor and Ending/Boss Roll), you're in two collaborations (Corneria and Records 1), and have one bonus track (Corneria). The claim is yours, go ahead with the bonus track. Once you send me a WIP, I'll update the overview and thread.
  19. You most certainly can! This track is yours, Siolfor .... I was hoping someone would choose this! I see @TheChargingRhino has already rolled out the carpet for you. Welcome aboard! I'm sure the claim is coming. The right Remixer is just waiting for the right moment to pounce on it!
  20. I'm late to the party, but I would like to say that this remains one of my favorite OCR albums to date. SCIV is one of my favorite OSTs of all time and all the Remixers have done a great job capturing not only the sound, but also the atmosphere of the game. My favorite on this album is Slimy's Deadly Furniture. To me, the source seems to convey a sort of 'twisted ballroom' for the main hall of Dracula's castle - Slimy's interpretation brought all of the neat orchestral-sounding bits of the source to life, almost seeming to give the strings and percussion a life of their own. I still sometimes jump when I hear that bright progression cut through the quiet tension at 2:15. On a side note, is that the same howl I hear in Selva Oscura, Dracula is Our Vampire, and the Night King's Lament? That is one persistent wolf ...
