  1. I like it. Not really too generic sounding, very expansive arrangement of kind of a simple source theme. Really trippy, nice texture. Maybe some more effects next time. YES
  2. It's hard for me to articulate as well, but something about this mix is off to me. Going by the other judges' comments, it's probably the thin sounding snares, the medleyitis (not, as Jesse so eloquently put it, "medlytits"), and the very simplistic part writing. The synth is mostly just doubling the guitar throughout the piece, and there's not much besides some straight arrangement of the source tunes plopped together with some minimal transitions. There doesn't seem to be a lot of consideration given to transitions and creating a holistic piece. Needs more direction. NO
  3. Not sure how many people I've told about this already, but my music will be featured in an upcoming concert/show called The Odyssey in Beijing and Tokyo, performed by the Viva Girls, a wonderful 12-girl Chinese-Western fusion band. The piece that plays at this link is called Yin Yang, and is an upgrade/arrangement of my old Naruto remix, Iron Dance and the White Eyed Maiden. I also licensed out five original pieces that will be released on an album in December. I'm not sure but I think they might be playing these pieces at the concert. Just hit play at that webpage on the video that initially loads. Before anyone asks, yes, we went through all the proper procedures to license the Naruto music. If anyone is in Beijing on the 12th of this month, please go to the concert. More links about the Viva Girls: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheVivaGIrls http://viva-girls.com/
  4. Already a thread. Merged. Might play...maybe.
  5. Hey man, your sig graphics stacked up end up being 290px. Gotta keep it at 250px and under, please. :)

  6. I didn't make a group just for people to post IDs, I made a group because it's a popular game and I figure it would be nice if people had the option of using one if they want to organize some games or something. Social groups will have more visibility once VB4 upgrade hits. We don't need two SC2 threads.
  7. Already a SC2 thread. http://ocremix.org/forums/group.php?groupid=8 I made you guys a group to use.
  8. No because Bruce is "dead" in Blackest Night. Barry comes back after Final Crisis and that is when Bruce "dies." There's no crossover where they can meet. Granted, DCO won't be following main DCU continuity, but it was being developed a while ago, so it's going to reflect the state of the DCU from a few years ago, not the current one, hence Cass Cain as Batgirl.
  9. It's a story trailer, not a gameplay trailer. It's there to set up the premise and narrative, not give you a demo of the game. Flash is most likely Barry, not Wally. Although Batman is Bruce and DCO is going to have Dick as Nightwing, Tim as Robin, and Cass as Batgirl, so Wally still could be the Flash. Then again DCO takes place in a different line. Who knows?
  10. Compilation DVDs given away have all of the songs on them. They're data discs with the entire catalog-to-date on them. We don't give out 70-minute audio CDs with just a couple of tracks on them. "Top Downloaded" is not indicative of quality. It's indicative of listener predisposition, which is exactly what we're trying to go against. What at the top downloaded remixes? I dunno, but they're probably from Final Fantasy VII or something. You'll never see "top downloaded" or "highest rated" or anything like that on this site; you'll never see something that does a tally of statistics and sorts the individual remixes that way. I guess people didn't read what I wrote before, so I'll say it again, more emphatically. The rule about favorites threads on the forums have little to do with what the FAQ says about rating remixes, and it has little to do with any perceived "hurt feelings" or "favoritism" that people like to bring up. Favorites threads are not allowed because they don't promote discussion, they promote lists, and the forums are for discussion. Favorites threads almost always degenerate into people just listing their own favorites and moving on. This is why it's not just "favorite remix" threads that we discourage, but "favorite remixer" or "favorite video game" or "favorite hamster" or anything else. Furthermore, if you want to express your opinion about your favorite remix, you already know that every remix on this site has its very own review thread where you can discuss it to your heart's content. You also have a forum signature where you can mention your favorite remix or remixer; there are no rules against that, except that you should keep it under 250px in height. Also, you'll be able to post your favorites on your OCR blog if you'd like, because blogs are a more individual-oriented thing.

  12. There's no need for that kind of vitriol.
  13. The Commander Shepard one made me laugh really hard.
  14. Seriously. A note to the internet: if you're trying to make a clever graphic, make sure you spell everything right, otherwise you just look like a dumbass.
  15. I don't know, it must be something with your connection and ETG's servers.

  16. That's not sarcasm, it's false ignorance.
  17. "itt" is not a misspelling of the word "it," it's an abbreviation for "in this thread." itt we talk about ocremixes and youtube itt we discuss ratings and favorites itt darkesword possibly missed the joke It's a common abbreviation used on a lot of message boards all over the net.
