  1. The "don't criticize it because I bet you can't do any better" argument is silly. Those graphics look terrible.
  2. It's not really OCR material; a little repetitive, too much reverb, etc.

    Thanks though.

  3. Why?! Sonic 4's graphics look terrible!
  4. Users banned for trying to spoil yesterday's festivities have been unbanned. If you're one of those people that registered an alt account and it got ban/purged, then you've got an IP ban on the forums, which means I can't really get rid of it, so you'll just have to deal with it until someone with the proper access can. Please be aware that it's not high on our list of priorities, as you shouldn't have registered an alt account anyway. In any case, it happens every year, and I always have to say: I don't understand why people feel the need to tell everyone that it's a joke. The fun for us is in fooling people, and the fun for everyone else figuring it out for themselves. Jumping on the forum and saying "GUYS IT'S APRIL FOOLS DAY" is just being a spoilsport; why ruin it? And FYI, Emperor Whateverhisnameis is on a one week vacation for being an ass. It's fun to play along with the joke, but if you're warned about your conduct, try to take that seriously.
  5. I guess the VGM remix community just isn't ready for what the ASS can produce. :\ Maybe in a couple of years.
  6. Well, not really. I mean they are derivative works of copyrighted music, so we can't really lay a solid claim on them. FYI they're also all still subject to the Content Policy.
  7. No, you won't. Seriously, does anyone not understand how this works? You don't use this make a remix that you submit to OCR. You don't submit to OCR anymore. Period. This is the new method of providing remixes to the listening public. We're not posting new remixes anymore. The only way you will get fresh music is when we add new sources and develop new heuristics for the ASS.
  8. Not really possible. It's not publicly traded; plus that'd be a conflict of interest. Plus OCR's whole "free" thing isn't changing, so there's no real way to make money off of ReMixanator. It's proprietary, but we're not licensing it out either. It's possible we might release it as open-source somewhere down the line, but right now we want to play this close to the chest. Also, Emperor Charlemagne, as I said before, it's one thing to express your opinion about what we've done, but you can do it without being an dick, like Taucer did. Take a vacation.
  9. If you think there was no creativity involved in this, tell that to Vikram, Raj, and Sameer, our guys in New Delhi who spent countless nights working with Dave's C++ codebase and adapting it in very unorthodox ways to our proprietary JS/COBOL hybrid. The code is a work of art; I'd show it to you, but it's proprietary. I don't think you understand how this works. People don't use ReMixanator to generate mixes for submission. The ReMixanator mixes are already considered posted to the site. It is impossible to "get posted" to OCR anymore, because by using the ASS, we hold the future OCR catalog mixes in our hand today. If anything, that makes being one of the posted remixers something to be even MORE proud of. You're posted on OCR; nobody new can achieve that anymore. You're part of this site's history; you're part of what made this site into what it is today. Without people like you, we never would have had the raw data needed to create the ASS. In essence, every remix the ASS spits out comes from you and every other posted OC ReMixer. Be proud of that.
  10. I'm not bitter. I'm just stating facts. We didn't run a closed beta. Who do you think was the guy in charge of organizing the development with our overseas team in India? Palpable? Please. I was there for every single step of the development process. There was internal testing, but nothing like a "closed beta." And furthermore, the ASS would never spit out such a shitty remix. Even in the early stages of development, the mixes generated were pretty solid.
  11. No it wasn't. We didn't run a closed beta. Seriously, what are you guys talking about?
  12. Everyone has a right to an opinion, but that doesn't mean you can be a jerk when you're expressing it. Knock it off. Also, what the fuck is this about? I'd appreciate it if you didn't write weird shit about me.
  13. I am not confused! You are the one with the confusion!
  14. No you haven't. I know everyone involved with this project and you weren't involved in any way, shape, or form. We kept this project under tight wraps. I really doubt you even knew anything about this until a few hours ago. First of all, you're not a Judge, so I don't even know how that makes any sense. Second, there's no panel anymore anyway, so even if you were a judge, you wouldn't be on it anymore. Third, you've never had any remixes on this site in the first place, so how can you request that they all get pulled? If that's a pot-shot at VGMix, it's not funny.
  15. It's not really inconvenient, it's just that there's no real way to answer your question. You should explore the program on your own some more, watch some videos on YouTube.
  16. Please don't post your music in Community.
  17. You don't submit anything to the site anymore. This isn't a tool you use to make remixes to submit. This is a tool everyone uses to get music to listen to.
