  1. They're not alternate realities because he is actually in one universe, just at different times. And it's only difficult because you have no context. To understand the current state of the Batman franchise, you need to read (or find summaries/explanations of) all of Grant Morrison's Batman work from the past couple of years, Final Crisis, parts of Infinite Crisis and 52, and some of his Seven Soldiers of Victory books (which provide more clues as to what the Omega Sanction actually is). Return of Bruce Wayne is not really a good "jumping on" point. If you're interested in reading Batman, you're better off waiting until that story is completed and Grant Morrison starts the next chapter in his work on Batman. That's probably around the beginning of next year. DC franchises with good "jump on" points are Green Lantern (GL, GL Corps, Emerald Warriors, Brightest Day), Flash (which is just one title right now), Superman (in June, after War of the Supermen, lots of titles), and Wonder Woman (new writer taking over in June, I believe; one title).
  2. There is no other FPS where setting players on fire is such a pervasive part of the game. That is why people whine about Pyros, and that is why Valve nerfs them.
  3. A lot of background stuff for Return of Bruce Wayne has started in earnest in Batman & Robin.
  4. I would question the musical ability of anyone who categorizes vocals as "inconvenient noise speaking english in the upper range of the frequency spectrum," regardless of age. It's a snobby, pretentious thing to say. Objectively, what Bieber does is singing. You opinion of what criticizing music is is flat-out wrong.
  5. Madcatz pad is horrible. Hey! If I press left, GO LEFT.
  6. http://www.freecomicbookday.com/ "Free Comic Book Day is a single day - the first Saturday in May each year - when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE* to anyone who comes into their stores. *Check with your local shop for their participation and rules." Make sure you guys go! Usually stores will let you take home 2-3 different comics, and there are always some fun titles out, like Atomic Robo. Sometimes you can even get some little figurines or pins. I'm gonna grab War of the Supermen and Atomic Robo, and maybe Irredeemable.
  7. Your sig is too big. The combined height of graphics in your sig cannot exceed 250px. Please resize your sig in accordance with the 250px limit.

  8. Use this thread for mixes that don't have vote threads.
  9. No I don't think that was the intention at all.
  10. It's not really an overdone plot device. That is actually the story of Kaguya-hime. Kaguya's story, much like everyone else's story in Okami, is based on a specific Japanese folktale. Okami is kind of like if someone took all the Grimm's fairy tales, mashed them all together, and made an action-RPG out of what was left, except that instead of Grimm's fairy tales, they used Japanese folklore. So much of the game is lost on us here in the US because we don't get the references, but you're basically supposed to get to that part of the game and immediately realize, "Oh, it's the Moon Princess!"
  11. Larry, I updated your list in the first post to clarify that the Artist field is something we will not change the contents of.
  12. We will never change this. The artist is the person who made the piece of music. As for your other suggestions, it's all being worked on. I'm not sure why genre is a URL in any of the OC ReMixes; I don't think we've ever tagged anything like that. Weird. Believe me, Larry's already got a lot of this done, but we've got other things in the pipeline that sort of take priority. You'll see the improvements to the tags once we find a good time to roll everything out.
  13. Piano roll's advantage is that when you're writing, you don't get caught up in all the fluff of notation, like dots and flags and sharps and flats and slurs, etc. It's a much more production oriented method of sequencing music. It's also much easier to copy/paste/transpose/offset with piano roll. I also feel that piano roll is a better way to write because you get a better visual sense of the intervals between notes and the durations (e.g. a major third actually looks bigger than a minor third, a whole note is wider than a quarter note, etc.); this of course is a personal preference, and I have written a lot in staff notation before switching to FLStudio. Remember, when picking a sequencer, what's the endgame? Do you want to sequence something up as a mock-up for what will eventually be played by actual instrumentalists? Or are you actually sitting down and creating the performance yourself? With the former, staff notation is best, but with the latter, I think that piano roll would be a better choice.
