  1. YESSSSSssssssss I love Ristar so much. It's got a really loose sound, I think it works. Very nice.
  2. caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake Also, Wes, you're a math teacher. Figure out the odds yourself.
  3. Yes I know, that's what the thread is supposed to be, but some people are just posting requests.
  4. I have never ever interpreted that ending as her being dead.
  5. Why do you think that Chell is dead?
  6. bumping this out of locked threads
  7. Keep in mind that this is not a requests thread please.
  8. Removing a lot of extraneous posts in the interest of getting rid of drama. Let's try this again. Mr. Foss is not able to order/purchase products online, so if anyone has any freeware guitar libraries that he can use, or even some good techniques for developing a decent electric guitar sound, please let him know. Tim: Please keep in mind that OCR does not condone piracy of samples or software in any way, shape, or form. Carry on.
  9. Bejeweled and Panel de Pon are quite different, actually. The only similarity is match-three tile-swapping; I seriously doubt Bejeweled is based on PdP in any conscious way. Bejeweled is really passive; you match and then wait for new pieces to drop. PdP is heavily time and reflex based; constant pressure from rising tiles and the ability to match and move in between drops makes it an entirely different game. If there's any popular puzzle game out there that's based heavily on PdP, it the iPhone game Aurora Feint, not Bejeweled. As for Puzzle Fighter, it's quite unique in that it's not really based on color/tile matching at all; at least, not in the same way that games like Puyo Puyo or Panel de Pon are. The system is really tailored to a 'versus' mode and you can have a lot of crazy, brutal turnarounds.
  10. Cool arrangement; fits together surprisingly well! That acoustic guitar sample is killing me. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so exposed, but it's pretty much soloing there. No good. The rest of the soundscape has some weird balance issues. The bass stuff sounds really muffled, and everything else sounds thin and over-exposed. I like it, but it needs work. Try to beef up your soundscape and work with some better/more appropriate samples. NO but please resub
  11. Quite pretty though a bit simple. Most of the other joojes have covered the issues like muddiness and the simplicity of the left-hand part. You ought think about giving this some more motion and breaking up the chords. Like Vig said, it's a lot of 1+3 chords and arpeggios. I need more than what's here. NO, but please please please resub
  12. Yeah, zircon and gecko are the "winners." The winner of the revenge bracket can still fight Tornado Man, but it's not really for the title. Incidentally, next competition (the Grand Maverick Remix Battle) won't have revenge rounds. It's going to be straight up single elimination with alternating brackets (to make things more manageable for me).
  13. Congratulations to Zircon, our new Grand Robot Master Remix Champion, and to GeckoYamori, our runner up! A big thanks to everyone who made this contest a success. Stay tuned for the revenge battles!
  14. Please use the R&C forum for this kind of stuff.
  15. Are you using the EWQL VST? Make sure you're loading the VST in FLStudio, otherwise you won't get sound. It's not a RAM issue.
  16. If you gentlemen are going to do a speedrun of DKC2, please organize it in another thread. Project threads are for project discussion, not for other stuff. Speedrunning posts have been moved to a new thread.
  17. They're in the first post. These are the matchups, by the way, not the mixes. Those go up next week.
  18. Played a 3 player game last night (me, sixto, and bardic) on a 4 player map and just couldn't kill all the bad guys in time. We need a fourth.
