  1. You're making far too many assumptions about what OCR is and what OCR isn't.
  2. It's justifiable. Don't discount it (ha ha get it?) just because it's 2D.
  3. It's really good but sometimes it's frustrating when your brother jumps on your head making you fall into a pit.
  4. I would take you up on the offer but right now I don't have a computer I can play the game on.
  5. Seriously? This is a thread about VIDEO GAME MUSIC and you put it in Off-topic? Goddamn it, you should know better. Just for that I'm renaming your topic to something dumb.
  6. The effect that pregame mayhem has on stats is negligible in the longrun. When you have 14000 kills and 15000 deaths, a couple of pregame mayhem kills are not going to affect overall trends.
  7. I bought this game for PS3. It's really jawesome. I love my incendiary sniper rifle.
  8. Please don't bring me into this argument. I have said that I care about long-term stats because I get an accurate representation of how well I do overall. Getting slain by admin command at the end of a map is a drop in the bucket for me and doesn't affect my long term trends.
  9. I think part of the reason some people don't speak up is that they don't want to get accused of "white-knighting" a girl. A lot of times on the net when a guy sticks up for a girl, people will look at him and say, "you're just defending her because you want to impress her and you want her to like you," even if he's just trying to do the right thing. We shouldn't worry about that kind of bullshit. If some random dumbass pubbie is treating any player (boy or girl) like crap, call them on it. Let them know, "hey, that's not cool, and it's against server rules. Knock it off." Unfortunately, sometimes admins aren't around and can't mute/kick/ban the d-bags, but sometimes if the majority of the players speak up, you can make it clear that that kind of crap is not okay, and maybe they'll stop or say sorry or just leave. We also have votekick commands and stuff, so don't be hesitant to use those against abusive players. EDIT: Oh also, sometimes when I play TF2 I get really into it and I don't really pay that much attention to the text chat, so I'll miss stuff that's said there. If someone says something to you that you find seriously find offensive (racism, sexism, etc.) while I'm there playing and I don't do anything about it, feel free to MSG me on Steam and say "hey that guy said something pretty terrible." I don't mind stopping to take care of it. This doesn't apply to just the women in the community either, it goes for all of our pleasant players who are credit-to-community.
  10. Original L4D is emotionally-draining for me, which is why I never played it as often as I should've. I think it's all the nighttime dreariness. I liked playing the demo in the daytime. It was a nice change of pace.
  11. 7 EST is no good for me. I'm at kung fu class, which ends at 7:30PM.
  12. On the topic of respecting others, it doesn't just apply to respecting our women players. I have muted and temp-banned players for excessive profanity and excessive trash-talking; there was one fellow a few weeks ago who felt the need to call anyone he killed a "bitch" every time he killed them. When asked to tone it down, he got pissy and self-righteous, as most people who behave that way are wont to do. I also don't like it when players needlessly rag on younger players who talk on the mic; I feel like that's just bullying. I realize that younger players can be annoying sometimes (there's a recent player that I've muted once or twice), but other times they just want to have fun, play the game and take part in the conversation. If a younger player asks "how do I get <item>?" don't be a jerk and say stupid stuff like "hit F10!" or any of that other nonsense. Be nice, help out. OCR's server is pretty much the only server I play on, mainly because I like playing with people I know, but also because our server is generally a friendly server. As an admin, I'm kind of lenient when it comes to gameplay issues like stacking and scrambling, but bad behavior/poor conduct is something that really bugs me.
  13. Doesn't matter. It has no place on our servers. Rambo, if you see something like that happen, don't hesitate to ban someone for it. Nobody will accuse you of any kind of conflict of interest, and if they do, they're playing on the wrong server.
  14. Everyone knock off this line of discussion and get back to the topic at hand. Don't reply to this post. Only warning.
  15. Bass when referring to the fish rhymes with mass. Bass when referring to lower frequencies rhymes with face.
  16. First two are fine, third one is pointless. Remixers are going to work on whatever they want to work on.
  17. Sorry MiniSiets. It's a nice gesture, but we don't allow links to downloadable soundtracks in MP3 format.
