  1. I'm not really sure what the deal is with that. :\

  2. This sounds a lot like a sound upgrade of the original. There are some background rhythmic changes but for the most part this follows the original though. I didn't really have a problem with the production; it actually sounds like some good shmup dance music. Pretty awesome energy. I'd like to hear more from you; hopefully pieces with more arrangement and riffing. NO
  3. I love all of that stuff--it sounds fantastic--but this mix is problematic. The source itself is pretty odd, and you do a good job of utilizing it, but there are long stretches (like starting at :27, and again at 1:26) where it doesn't sound like what you have is derived from the source music; rather, it's riffing on the original bassline/comping you've set up in the earlier parts of the mix. It sounds great, but it goes off the rails, away from the source. I think if we saw some stronger usage of the themes from the admittedly odd source, it'd be better, but for now, I'm gonna say NO, resub.
  4. I like the chippy intro, but once the beat drops it turns into a generic saw-wave dance track. :\ There's something up with the kick drum; I'm not really sure what the deal is, but it sounds like it's stuttering; maybe it's a side effect of the side-chaining? The drums overall are very uninspired; needs more energy and presence. The filtered saw lead also sounds weak. The arrangement itself isn't bad; a simple genre adaptation, but you need more variation throughout; this piece just reiterates the melody a couple of times over the standard beat. Gotta break it down, get a B section in there or something. Also, that's a pretty long fadeout ending. NO
  5. Alright well I guess that's it. Awesome tune but not enough source. NO
  6. This sounds really top heavy in terms of instrumentation and EQ. That crystal synth is too loud and overpowers everything. Arrangement isn't bad; nice ideas, but ultimately too repetitive. I can't shake the feeling that some of the notes aren't transcribed from the original correctly. Maybe you changed them to fit harmonically but it sounds off to me. Could use some sound adjustments and stronger presence in the low-end. NO
  7. The arrangement is fine; I actually like the harmonies on the melody in the beginning. I'm going to agree that there needs to be some more humanization in the sequencing. It sounds robotic in the opening; the only part that sounds human are the long runs. Needs some tweaking. NO
  8. I had a vote written out but then I closed my browser. Let's see if I can remember everything. There's a really solid groove here and the production is really clean. Your instruments are balanced nicely and nothing sticks out. I really like how you took embellishing and melodic elements from the original and developed a solid groove out of them. This is a really fun track. YES
  9. See something like this bothers me more than jazz mixes that use chords as a basis for their deviation. I feel like the entire middle section was completely original, without any elements of the original track. I love the actual KK stuff in here though, but that middle section needs to link up to the original more. NO
  10. This is a very relaxing and chilled out track. I love the softer synth sounds you've used. Great percussion too. YES
  11. I'd rather everyone get their mixes in than penalize people for being late. If anyone else wants to revise/fix up their mix while I'm waiting for Gecko's, I'm fine with that.
  12. I need ur robot master mix :(

  13. Um, no. The "original purpose" of BitTorrent has nothing to do with censorship or societal issues of rights vs. privileges. The purpose of BitTorrent was to more efficiently distribute large amounts of data to a large group of people. No. No, we're not gonna do that. We officially don't distribute the removed tracks because they've been removed from the OC ReMix library. It's not a question of bandwidth, and it never was. Remixes were removed for various reasons, most of which were that they should not have been posted to the site in the first place under the guidelines that existed at the time they were posted (zero arrangement value, direct sampling, etc.). The number of removed remixes will not grow. We don't post stuff that shouldn't be on the site; many judges make sure of that. And if a remix is accidentally posted when it shouldn't be, it's removed within 30 minutes (this is rare to the point where it's practically never). We also don't have any further "lockdowns" planned. Anything posted to the site since the last lockdown is as good as gold. If you want to download removed tracks, you can search around for them. People run sites where you can find them. But you won't get them here. They're not part of this site's catalog of remixes.
  14. I have 12 remixes. I need mixes from Ralphis, GeckoYamori, Yoozer, and Demonstray.
  15. Eastern Standard Time. Just a heads up to everyone else: voting will be public. I've created a social group for this here: http://ocremix.org/forums/group.php?groupid=7 It's open for anyone to join, so make sure you join it so that you can vote.
  16. I have 6 of 16 tracks submitted. Cerrax, please send me yours again, you forgot to include a link in your PM. Mixes are due at the end of tomorrow. Don't be late or you forfeit.
  17. Your sig is too tall. Please resize it in accordance with the 250px height limit. Thanks.

  18. We used to have an approval process. I've been thinking we need to bring it back.
  19. Alright, but even so, advertising something in such a manner is rude and will not be tolerated on the forum.

  20. Advertising your own crap by shitting all over someone else's work is a pretty terrible thing to do. Sorry, but you don't get to pimp out your stuff on OCR this way.
  21. Threads about music don't belong in the Off-Topic forum of a music website.
  22. It costs them less money and people will buy Pokémon games for gameplay anyway.
  23. PM me a link. Make sure your remixes are tagged too with--at the very least--title and artist info. Titles should be in the following format: Your Remix's Title (Your Robot Master vs. Opponent's Robot Master) eg., Willrock sent me his track: Time Stopper (Cutman vs. Flashman)
