  3. I've been playing Witch Doctor this season. Not the type of character I usually play but I generally use Seasonal characters as a chance to experiment and do something different. I haven't been playing lately though, focusing on other games and stuff.
  4. If a song plays in your browser instead of downloading when you click a link, just hit CTRL+S or COMMAND+S on your keyboard to save it.
  5. oof. While an impressive piece of software, I've got to say that we really don't want people constantly streaming MP3s from the site every time they want to listen to remixes. We prefer people download the MP3s or use YouTube as a streaming solution. I realize that YouTube's sound quality doesn't match the MP3 download, but OCR's bandwidth isn't free nor is it unlimited. We run through a lot of bandwidth every month already, and if something like this is used more and more by visitors of OC ReMix in lieu of downloading once and playing the music from local files, that's only going to increase bandwidth usage. It also directly accesses MP3s and circumvents the download pages, which have ads on them that keep OCR up and running. :\ Gonna have to close this.
  6. Well. We already have a place for people to post rejected remixes. A whole forum! It's called the Workshop. Gonna close this up.
  7. I've moved your topic to Recruit and Collaborate. You'll hopefully get some good responses here.
  8. Let's get one thing out of the way first: this piece has a great soundscape and the guitar is fantastic. That said, the structure of this piece really bothers me. For starters, the track just jumps right in without any kind of buildup, and the accompaniment is basically on autopilot all the way through. There's a lot of flourish and embellishment in there that I like, but it still feels like it's repeating the same syncopated riff over and over again. Also the piece feels incomplete without a return to the source in order to restate the melody. This track essentially just runs through the entire set of chord changes twice: once with the melody, once with a guitar solo. Why not have the lead guitar pick up some of the melody in the front-half? Why not go back to the source for a little in the back half? Why only twice through and done? Like I said, this feels incomplete to me. Maybe I'm being overly harsh? The performances are stellar and this really amazing sounding, but the structure is leaving me doubting. I'm going to go with a NO, resub. This is a VERY borderline NO though, so if this track sits here in the queue for too long I'm willing to shift to a YES.
  9. Highly emotive, beautiful arrangement. I thought the violins were a little too exposed in the beginning but then I came to my senses. I hear the hiss too but it's not a dealbreaker. Really captures the love between Shovel and Shield. Fantastic. YES
  10. Hey man, your sig was gigantic. 250px is the height limit for graphics in your sig. I've edited it to a link. If you want an image in your sig, make sure it's not huge.

Understood, thanks for letting me know O_O I had no idea how to link it, any other way ^^; terribly sorry about that

  11. Right? I love it. Up next is a blast from the past. It's the opening to 2003's Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider 555. Here's Justiφ's ("Justifaiz") by ISSA. This song's got a great driving beat and the melody in the verse is awesome. Also love the random English thrown in, like "can you feel?" and "time to go." xD CLASSIC!
  12. Yeah it's because of moderator approval. Will talk to djpretzel about making a "schedulers" group for approved members that we trust enough to bypass mod approval for event creation/editing. Regular compo runners (MW, Bund, hoboka) will be added to it.
  13. I'm closing this up. You guys don't have any actual musical content on your page, and also advertising your music in Community is something only posted remixers are allowed to do.
  14. No, it never was going to "be a thing." If you don't like something, ignore it and don't reply to it. We're never going to choose to aggregate negativity. All that does is foster hostility in the community.
  15. Nope. Everyone has a warning level. Yours is zero, which means you haven't gotten any warnings. vBulletin had a warning system too but we never used it and it was never exposed to the general populace.
  16. I'm looking into getting a mechanical keyboard at home because the Razer gaming keyboard I have just isn't cutting it. What are some good mechanical keyboards? Anyone have any recommendations? Good deals?
  17. It...wasn't supposed to work in the previous forum? As far as I can remember, we've never allowed image uploading to OCR. Not on Invision, not on vBulletin, not on phpBB.
  18. You need to host your image somewhere else.
  19. If you want to organize raid nights, be sure to use the community calendar. http://ocremix.org/community/calendar/
  20. Threads like this belong in the Workshop, not in Community. Please make sure you're posting threads in the right place. Moved.
  21. Yep. I agree it's silly, but it has to do with how Invision does a page numbers thing in URLs for specific posts. A per-user setting makes page numbers for posts inconsistent across the board. It's the same reason you can't set a custom number of posts per page. I don't really agree with Invision's stance on the whole thing but that's part of their design philosophy. There are obviously ways of doing it that work in other forum software, but we're not interested in getting into heavy modifications and rewrites of Invision. The majority of forum users use chronological post order. All I can really tell people at this point is try to adjust to it.
  22. This is not possible in Invision out of the box. Discussions on Invision's site indicate no options availble on the per-user level that enables this. We'll keep an eye out for plugins in the future that provide this functionality, but I recommend getting used to first-post-first.
