  1. I'm finally caving in and downloading the 10-day trial. If I do eventually decide to purchase this game, you guys will have to tell me which server to join.
  2. "How do you kill that which has no life?" Beautiful.
  3. I get the feeling that episode wouldn't have been half as funny for people who haven't played MMORPGs. Not that I care. I laughed my ass off.
  4. There's Warhawk. And I think Lair has shown some tilt functionality (or maybe White Knight, I forget which). I'm sure we'll be seeing more as we get closer to launch.
  5. Sony definitely hasn't earned a win for this console war. I just want them to sell enough units to avoid tanking completely. With luck, they'll get their shit together for the following generation once they've had a good scare.
  6. That 1-2-3 piano progression starting around 2:37 hits pretty hard. You may want to reduce the velocity on those notes just a smidge.
  7. Despite his increasingly busy schedule, he would always take the time to provide me feedback on my latest WIP whenever he could. For a guy with a demanding new job and judging duties, that's no small feat. Journey's End wouldn't have turned out half as awesome without you, Gray. If you couldn't tell already, you're gonna be missed around here.
  8. Yeah, still in the works. Sorry for such a dry spell in updates. Busy times.
  9. Man, this is some hard news. Try not to be a stranger, Gray. You'll really be missed around here.
  10. I like seeing more of the projects on the frontpage. Nice work on the redesign in general.
  11. SirRus and I would love to take Frozen Flame if that's ok.
  12. Well, now that we're stickied, it's time I started adding content to this here thread. Zircon recently offered mastering services for CD releases at a nominal fee. Details pasted below: EDIT: And in other news, I will make an attempt to start browsing the Remxing forums more often in search of nuggets of production wisdom. When I find such pearls, I will quote them here for eternal preservation.
  13. I hate to beg for a sticky in a forum already overrun with them, but we really have some great information in here and the makings of a solid knowledge database in the topic post.
  14. SirRus and I are in. We're still picking a track though.
  15. Sorry the vocals are taking so long. We're having difficulty scheduling recording seesions. It'll get done soon, I promise.
  16. Taucer's second concept could be interesting to see someday.
  17. Taucer is saying what I was trying to communicate, just far better than I did.
  18. I hadn't seen that update. Good to see you've done your homework. Best of luck with getting the project started.
  19. I hate to break it to you, but he's right. Until you have some level of notoriety around here, organizing a remix project is ill-advised, if not impossible. Besides which ... Unless you've already done that, chances are this thread will be locked down anyway. Don't get me wrong, a Xenogears remix project has plenty of potential, but unless you've gone through all the proper channels, it just isn't going to happen. If you haven't already, familiarize yourself with OCR's Site Project Guidelines. Good luck.
  20. Testing some vocal additions right now. Still trying to make the quality fit properly into the sound I've already put together, but it already makes a big difference. It helps the dynamics of the arrangement a great deal. Rest assured, I'll post it as soon as it's ready.
  21. Good thinking. I'm not feeling the acoustic idea as much though. Not that it doesn't have potential, it's just not the direction I've had in mind thus far. Thanks for helping to inspire the remix title though.
  22. Another update. Tried to smooth out transitions and play with dynamics a little bit. And we now have a title: Snowfall in Ancient Lands I have some new interesting ideas for this remix, so expect some significant additions within the next couple weeks.
