I'm assuming it's a download. Which is gonna rape my Internet quota once I get it connected. Still looking forward to it. Come on Thursday!

I ordered it early last week, according to UPS my shipment will be here on the 2nd. Can't wait to play with it. I put my music on hold until I got Omnisphere. Didn't want to go to all the trouble of trying to reinstall Atmosphere.

OCR01741 - Doom II "Running from Evil Horde"
The Orichalcon replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
I love the dirtiness of this mix. The shredding sound of the supporting guitar really crawls up and down my spine whenever I listen to it. when I first heard the track, I thought it could possibly use some beefing up in the latter sections with a rock organ like the original track had, and the lead did sound a little sloppy at times. But the track really grew on me and I've found myself listening to it on repeat at work. Definitely a gem from DQD. A huge kudos goes out to Evil Horde for picking up this track and bringing a bit of nostalgia back from DSoP. -
OCRA-0011 - Doom II: Delta-Q-Delta
The Orichalcon replied to The Orichalcon's topic in Album Reviews & Comments
It's perfectly legal to have it on the album, and we were 100% willing to have it featured on DQD along with the other tracks. The artist in question just had a little temper-tantrum over the incident and ran off with his two mixes by his own choice, leaving those two tracks (Map07 and Map18 ) high and dry with too little time to find other remixers to fill them. -
OCRA-0011 - Doom II: Delta-Q-Delta
The Orichalcon replied to The Orichalcon's topic in Album Reviews & Comments
There were originally 16 tracks, however one of the artists pulled his two tracks from the project after he found out that they wouldn't be accepted to OCR due to the copyright issues regarding tracks based on actual rock songs. There was a lot of work involved, but it was mostly a song-by-song thing, as there was little interest by most people in joining the project, and a lot of the time was spent by myself going "want to do a doom 2 remix?" to everyone on OCR. -
Everyone please Digg and share it around. I'd be a happy man if the album could fall upon as many ears as possible. (Oh and if it made the front page of digg, too) Hope you guys enjoy it. Props to the artists involved, musically and artistically. And a huge thanks to Dave for putting so much work into getting the site all ready to go for today. Well, what did you guys think? http://doom2.ocremix.org

Not with that attitude.

Tears of Contention (Chrono Trigger) by Bladiator and myself includes some (fake) electric cello from the middle on. I enjoyed writing it out, so you might like it. http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01446/

Prayers for bLiNd (UPDATE: He's home)
The Orichalcon replied to Jillian Aversa's topic in General Discussion
Best wishes from a non-religious man. Life can be cruel and strike you down with disease early. I can only hope that he recovers well enough both physically and mentally to live comfortably. -
I recall a guy a couple of months back who had ads for Sperm Banks showing up for him. Good for a laugh.

made a Stilva from Final Fantasy

I listened to them all a while back (1-1500) and touched quite a few people in #ocremix in the process. About 5% of the tracks made it onto my playlist, a lot of them were quirky or good in their own way. But the vast majority were junky and thrown-away. But this was before lockdown 2.0. Otherwise it's just a matter of taste. Also, Karl, hop on MSN or IRC. Haven't had a good chat for ages.

Patience. You've waited this long, do you really want us to rush now and stumble over the finish line? I'm making sure this is all actually finished before releasing it. I'm sorry the fans and artists have to wait longer, but it'll be worth it. Missed your post there, Flik. Your track is fine, I liked it a lot. If you have an issue with it, it's up to you whether you want to change anything in it. But let me know sooner rather than later.

Yes, if doomed means finished and ready to launch... Waitin' on Dave

Dave's working on site design. He sent me a sample yesterday. Once that's done, we'll go live.

Verbinski to make Bioshock film
The Orichalcon replied to The Orichalcon's topic in General Discussion
If anyone can do it, it's Verbinski. Thankfully he's chosen a new game with relatively no important storyline details to follow. Big Daddys, Little Sisters, Adam and Eve. Those are the important details. Can't go too wrong. But I've probably jinxed it now. -
Bioshock film to be made by Pirates director Awesome.

OCR01709 - Klax "Nine Inch Klax"
The Orichalcon replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Mixes two of my favourite artists together. +1 Mazedude track for my list. -
Was decided a while back that any tracks on the site that already violated that particular rule, but didn't violate any others, would stay. Trust me, I tried using that argument in favour of the forbidden tracks in this project.

I've enjoyed this season so far. The last two episodes were enjoyable and caused some good laughs.

Larry 'Liontamer' Oji interviewed by Nostalgiaholic on VGM
The Orichalcon replied to Liontamer's topic in Announcements
Ms Pacman is a bitch. Nice interview. I like the pic of the five of you guys all looking serious as you judge a remix. I wouldn't want to be the mixer on the end of that five-way gaze. Although BGC looks way too boyish to be taken seriously. Also, since when is the name "Liontamer" credible. -
Yeah, this seems to be the thing that worries me about the game. However, I find myself playing AOE2 and Battle for Middle Earth for hours without ever touching the campaign. I think even playing single player against an enemy and just working your way up through the difficulty would be fun too. I haven't had a chance to play yet. Is it possible to save a game and continue it later? Either single player or multiplayer? On a separate note, I'm very happy with the way Stardock set up and sell their games/programs. Was easy to download, clean install. The program took care of everything.
