  1. I wish fighters wouldn't make us have to unlock characters. Doing it is not fun at all, especially when the boss is a big piece of crap.
  2. That game was good stuff. Me, my brother, and my friend would stay up late at night playing that in the dark.
  3. But see, in Silent Hill, your character was just some average person. If you were to actually be in a situation like this, and you saw something such as a Smog, or those blind Nurses, you'd probably be scared shitless. That's why when the combat was there in Silent Hill, it was great because your character sucked at fighting. It made it difficult and it definitely added to the survival horror part of the game. Now we're being thrown with no combat? I'm stoked.
  4. Annnnnd that's how a survival horror game should be.
  5. I guess I should have looked harder.
  6. The first Silent Hill title is being remade, or reimagined for the Nintendo Wii, according do the newest Nintendo Power. I think my favorite part about this Silent Hill is the combat. Some quotes from the interview: “This is a reimagining of the first Silent Hill,” explains producer Tomm Hulett. “It’s not a remake or a port. That’s an important distinction. It really feels like a new game.” “The characters play different roles, things don’t necessarily happen in the same order, and the story is taken in lots of new directions. You still play as Harry Mason, you’re still looking for your daughter, and you’ll see familiar elements, but they’re all twisted to betray your expectations.” “One of Shattered Memories’ most significant and intriguing additions—your answers actually affect how the game unfolds. And it doesn’t end there. the game “watches” you constantly, and your behavior throughout can determine when you’ll meet certain characters, which scenes you’ll witness, and a variety of other factors.” “In Silent Hill games, the town always gets inside the protagonist’s head,” say Hulett. “But now, it’s getting inside YOUR head.” “We’re using the Wii Remote to interact directly with the environment, so the puzzles are all based around that idea,” says Hulett. “You’re not just hitting buttons to choose things.” He also notes that the solution to a puzzle is always in the immediate vicinity, and assures us there’s a lot less backtracking then in previous games.” “Longtime fans of the series will also be delighted to learn that there’s a way through every locked door; no more checking dozens of entrances only to find that 90% of them are permanently barred shut.” Additional info: -Harry is moved using the control stick, the Wii remote is used to aim the flashlight -When you look at something Harry will vocally respond -No load times -The Wii remote acts as your cell phone, and the static noise comes out of the Wii remote speaker -Combat has been removed from the game, you can only flee -When the monsters chase you the Z button will allow you to break through doors, climb fences, through windows etc. Source: http://gonintendo.com/?p=77596 http://gonintendo.com/?p=77624
  7. Loved it. The video that is. Halo Wars didn't interest me at all.
  8. I bought Bit Trip Beat, and that game is amazing. It gets pretty hard too. I love how everything just flows together, and it's pretty funny what happens when you start messing up a lot.
  9. I don't know if anyone uses iGoogle since most people probably just use the classic Google page, but there are now game themes available to use for iGoogle. The complete list is: Game of the Day, Galaga, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, Zelda, World of Warcraft, Wii Sports, Tomb Raider: Underworld, Street Fighter IV, Spore, The Sims 3, Magic: The Gathering, Mega Man, Mass Effect 2, Mario, The Lord of the Rings: Conquest, Guitar Hero, Godfather II, Fifa 09, Dragon Age Origins, Donkey Kong, Dungeons & Dragons, Call of Duty: World at War, Burnout Paradise: Ultimate Box, and Animal Crossing.
  10. Whenever Link is riding the train, the song C'mon N' Ride It(the train) by Quad City DJs better start playing.
  11. Yeah, and from the videos I've seen, he says stuff very frequently. That was at a test location, so hopefully they changed it. He says ridiculous stuff like psycola(I think) and COMBO WOMBO! haha
  12. Also, if no one has heard yet, Nintendo will be making two different types of cartridges now for the DS/DSi. One will work for the DS/DS Lite, but will have extra features if used on a DSi. The other will just be strictly for the DSi.
  13. TP got boring because it was a Zelda game that took 50 FREAKING HOURS TO BEAT, give or take. While it wasn't the best Zelda game in my opinion, I still enjoyed it. Personally, I like the way you control Link on PH
  14. Level 5 intends to localize the entire Professor Layton series. This is awesome. Japan is on what, their 4th title, and we've been stuck with only 1. http://gonintendo.com/?p=76827
  15. I bought some Wii points tonight. It's been forever since I last checked the VC... there are so many games now, lol. Any WiiWare games worth getting, or can anyone recommend some classics that I might have missed out on as a child?
  16. You know what sucks? I went to play DDR yesterday, and to my surprise, the DK/DK Jr./Mario Bros machine is now broken. :\ The machine turns on, but nothing boots.
  17. New Legend of Zelda title announced: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks Trailer -
  18. Virtual Console Arcade launches with 4 games available now Walkthrough of the new and much anticipated storage solution for the Wii: SD Channel Two new Final Fantasy games for WiiWare! My Life as a Darklord, and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years.
  19. Somewhat of a tier list. So good to see Guile so low :\ lol "The chart below (compiled by Japanese gamers, hence the character names) shows how many times, on average, two players of equal skill will win a "best of 10" series using two characters. So, for example, look in the left column at Rose. Line her up with Seth in the row across the top and you'll see she only wins 3 out of 10 times." http://kotaku.com/5183085/an-updated-list-of-the-best-and-worst-street-fighter-iv-characters
  20. The web browser for the DSi is such an improvement over the DS browser that was sold in retail stores. That reminded me to search for this video.
  21. Another thing I love about the DSi is the exterior. No more glossy fingerprint mess.
