DAW: Reaper Library being used: QLRA In the project I'm working on (which was playing back perfectly yesterday), my Play instruments have stopped working. They're completely silent. When I go to adjust the settings and click the "Streaming" tab, there is a red note at the bottom saying "This engine level setting has exceeded your available system resources. Try lowering your engine level or your audio buffer size, or contact tech support." Even when I set the engine level all the way down, I still have the same issue. I have 3 gigs of RAM, (actually 4 -- but one of the four sticks apparently isn't functioning), and this project does not have a huge number of instruments. Playback was working fine yesterday, so I suspect that isn't the problem. Any ideas?

I'll agree that the bebop movie was awesome. -

Kenshin kinda sucks for the first few episodes, but gradually gets better/darker/more mature. -
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

This... would actually be a pretty awesome premise. Not one I'd use for a Zelda game, but you could spin a really neat original story out of this. -

OH MAN HOW DID I FORGET THAT ONE? I fucking LOVED samurai champloo. Other good ones are Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Wolf's Rain. I never really could get into Cowboy Bebop. I've never really understood the appeal. I mean, it's not bad, but I don't understand why so many people think it's the greatest anime ever. EDIT: in fact, I think I'm going to go downl-erm... legally acquire champloo right now. -

You absolutely must watch Paranoia Agent. Best anime I've seen. -
Waterfall theme was pretty badass, I will say. DKC3 was not a terrible game. It just wasn't on par with 1 and 2.

It's not so much goofy enemy design -- it's the whole goofy atmosphere of the rest of the game. Look at DKC1 and 2. Yes, they had some goofy enemies, but the games still felt like they took themselves seriously. They weren't trying to be funny. DKC3 and DK64 tried to hard to be funny -- and both completely failed at it. I think the difference can be pretty well summarized by listening to the first level themes from DKC and DKC3. DKC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bx7mI1rdykw "gorilla with massive testicles romping through the jungle. Everything in this jungle exists solely for him to swing on, climb on, or pound mercilessly." DKC followed this attitude throughout the game. While I wouldn't call the game "dark," per se, it at least takes itself seriously. It's not trying to be funny. DKC3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOEU4a1IXMY "HEY KIDDIES! I'M GONNA HIT MYSELF IN THE FACE WITH A PIE! THEN MAYBE I'LL SLIP ON A BANANA!" It's like the fucking Jar-Jar Binx of the DKC trilogy. Most of the game feels like this. Though there are select portions with darker music, the game overall feels like a little kid's birthday party. Also, after DKC1 and ESPECIALLY DKC2, this game was almost insultingly easy. It had some decent level design and some creative mechanics, and was still fun to play, but the constant clown-like attempts at slapstick humor really pulled me out of the experience.

Agreed completely.

I hate to say it, but there's some real truth in this. I recently picked up the Sonic compilation released on gamecube -- and regretted it after playing the games. They're not nearly as fun as I remember them being. Certainly haven't held up as well as Mario or DK.

GODDAMNIT, SINCE WHEN DO I CRY AT MOVIES? I'm gonna have to go eat some stake, fuck some chicks, and watch some Spike TV now.... Anyway, while this wasn't as funny as Toy Story 2, I thought the story and characters were the best in the trilogy. Very touching story. Now I'm off to go do.... manly stuff. EDIT: And the aforementioned steak will be uncooked.

Looks awesome, but I gotta say I'm a bit disappointed that Link is likely to be right handed in all future iterations. -
It looks sort of cool, but.... how is this a kirby game? The main character DOES NOT suck up enemies. He neither eats enemies nor spits them at other enemies. He doesn't appear to puff up and fly. Why is this new character disguised as kirby?

This review actually made it sound like a pretty fun game. -
I didn't actually watch Sony's conference, but from how little people seem to be reacting/caring about whatever went on, it must have been a miserable failure of a conference.
