The technical answer: anybody can start a project. The more practical answer: considering there are 9586730495876 projects currently in production already, and considering you have a grand total of 4 posts, odds are low you'll be able to successfully get a project going at this point. The better known you are in the community, the more likely people are to join your project (yes, I know the grammar of that sentance was fucked up. stfu). However, I made a similar prediction about the Xenogears project, and that seems to be comming along pretty well, so I could be wrong.

I'm trying to upload a video, and I keep getting the following error: "The video file cannot be greater than {{UPLOAD_LIMIT}} megs." Just like that; doesn't specify the upload limit, and this video is considerably smaller than several that I already have up. Any idea what the problem might be? EDIT: erm, ok, it works now. Nevermind.

I don't know of any way to make an acutal SPC, however you can rip samples from games using snessor, and use them in a tracker (ie modplug). By using these samples and limiting yourself to 9 tracks, it should be more or less equivalent to working within the limits of the SPC700

I'm sorry, but I always thought Aeris was annoying. I was never at all attatched to her, and when she died, my reaction was something along the lines of "sweet." Now, in FF6, when Celes tried to commit suicide after Cid's death, I definitely cried. That was a brilliantly executed scene (ignoring the obvious soften-the-blow ploy with the Cid quote right before she jumps), at just the right point of the game, and it really drove home that feeling of dispair that was so appropriate for that part of the game. And of course, the fact that Celes was a great character all along (and had a heart-breakingly beautiful themesong) made it that much more powerful. That's about the only time I can think of where a videogame has left me in tears.

*bump* AnSo, since you're flying in from so far away anyway, couldn't you pretty much fly in anywhere on the east coast? If you can't get a ride to and from Dulles, see if you can get a flight near where somebody lives who's going, and see if you can get a ride with them. If you want to fly into Raleigh/Durham, you can ride up with me (though the airport is a bit out of my way; see what your other options are first, please)
