You obviously didn't check the first page, then.

But it totally wasn't! The video said so!

Shit, why didn't I think of this before? Youtube videos, with music! Hope that helps out.

There were four of us. My friends wanted one as well, but none of them had the money at the time or had reserved. So they "escorted" me in line, both to secure a spot near the front and to protect the Wii after we got it. Although, I suppose I was pretty much just the mule at that point: disposable and expendable.

Nintendo Wii Wifi and Vista......
The Damned replied to Conan The Politician's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, I got a USB wifi adapter sitting in my desk because once I got my new computer (and new version of Windows), it never worked right. Basically, the drivers for it are only compatible with one or two versions of XP. And I mean, just XP version. If you update your XP system, you may lose the use of it. And if you're running XP 64-bit, you're equally fucked. Seriously, just buy a damn wireless router. The USB dongle thing is just worthless. It only runs while your computer is on, and it's not as fast or stable as a router. That said, any one want a Nintendo WiFi USB Adapter? I'll sell it to you cheap. -
Countdown to awesomeness initiated!

Now, now... let's not get into another console fanboy fight. We've all had enough of those.

Actually, having popped the Goldenrod theme in and compared it to Canon in D, I can see your line of thinking here. It could actually work pretty well. Request seconded.

There are a few torrents.

Sadly enough, I fear that the original Crystal Chronicles has either been transformed into the Wii Ware one, or has been forgotten completely. Which is a shame, because the Gamecube FF:CC was actually pretty damn good, both in content and execution. Honestly, who didn't have a GBA, and know at least one person that owned a Gamecube? I had two GBAs, and everyone I know had at least one each. Between the six of us, four owned Gamecubes. Any way... As for Tales and Kirby... sometimes games just slip under the radar and mysteriously vanish. It's happened before. Besides, Kirby games haven't really gone anywhere since Super Star. Kirby Squeak Squad was literally more of the same. Only Canvas Curse did anything different, and honestly, they could have not made it a Kirby game and it would still stand on it's own. Sad times for some of the old Nintendo franchises...

I hate you all. I downloaded the file, and went to install it. It kept giving me an error: 1628, unable to install program. It seems that the beta doesn't work with certain versions of Windows, and I can only hope that they are Microsoft's lapdogs and don't make it Vista compatible only. Come on, guys. Make it for XP64 as well.

So, what is YOUR game series of choice?
The Damned replied to SomeCrazyGuy's topic in General Discussion
I'm seeing a pattern here. Of the Nintendo-based replies, all of them list a large collection of the titles, and a lot of ports and remakes. -
Why yes, it is, isn't it? /paid for Wii, extra controllers and games in cash //on launch day ///tauted line-cutting assholes with the money after they got kicked out by security ////slashies!

So, what is YOUR game series of choice?

Just alter the first post to mention that this is a survey, and include something about sex, age and location. Age: 29 Sex: Male Location: Alberta, Canada 1.) What is your favorite game series? Uhm... Pokémon? I think that's a safe bet. 2.) What is the game series you are best at? I'd say... team making. Grab some pokémon, determine the ideal moves and stats, and train them up to high levels. Takes a lot of time and effort without the use of cheat devices. 3.) What game from your favorite game series is your favorite? Every one of them? I'd say Sapphire version. It forced you to start your entire team and even your battling habits from scratch by redoing the stat and battle system, not to mention that you couldn't transfer your team from the previous version over due to hardware incompatibility. It introduced a lot of new concepts and features, like Secret Bases, Natures and Abilities, and improved upon older ideas like the Battle Tower. 4.) What games in your favorite series do you OWN (Rentals and Past Ownership don't count, though you can include Past Ownership if you note those). Red and Blue on the Gameboy, Gold and Silver for GBC, Ruby and Sapphire for GBA, and now Pearl for the DS. As well as Colosseum for the Gamecube, but that game sucks, so it doesn't count. Yes, I am a consumer whore. 5.) WHY is your favorite game series your favorite, and why would you suggest others to look into it? I like the team-building aspect. Grab any combination of pokémon and train them in almost any way you want with any item and moves you have access to, and then test them out against wither a increasingly difficult computer player (Battle Tower) or against another person. For a suggestion, I would say it's a decent RPG with excellent multi-player, and the team building is great for people that like tweaking their stuff. And with the DS and Diamond/Pearl's online, you can trade and battle with people from anywhere in the world. -

If this was more of a survey than a favorites, then it would be totally fine with the rules and shit. (Hint, hint) -
Anyone check out the flash game? Done by someone else, it's a 2D version. And if I had fun playing that, I'm thinking I should have fun playing the full version. Not having played Half-Life 2, and seeing how fun just the 2D version is... maybe I will go pick up Orange Box.

I grabbed my Drill Dozer game and played enough to unlock the music option. I now have full access to the entire soundtrack. If anyone is interested, I can record it and then find somewhere to host the files. Then you would have a large selection to choose from.

Drill Dozer is a GBA game made by Game Freak, otherwise known as the guys that made Pokemon. But before they made animals fight for our amusement, they were known for making spiffy platformers. Drill Dozer was a return to those roots, and was released in 2005. It had an interesting game mechanic, where you spun up a giant drill on the front of your robot and switched gears using your L and R buttons to gain power. It received several awards from various magazines and sites, and scored 33/40 from Famitsu, and the main character, Jill, will be an Assist Trophy in Smash Brothers Brawl. It also came with a built-in rumble in the cartridge! So, would anyone like to do a remix on it? The only problem is... there's next to no music samples for it. VGMusic doesn't have it, and I can't even find a link on any of my usual game music sites (not that I really could supply said links anyways, something about legal stuff and not being able to link to copyrighted material or something...) The only sources I could really find was the main theme, on the official Drill Dozer website, and on IGN's page for it, found here. Not the greatest source material, I know. But the game was largely left to the side despite positive reviews and good scores. In fact, the expected sequel never came to be, due to sales numbers that fell below expectation. So, is anyone willing to help save this wonderful little title from total obscurity? Anyone? Darkesword, maybe? He said he liked it on the IRC channel. Come on, DS, won't you try?

Things that make you go "Whaaaaa....!!??"

When do they start making out? -
It, and maybe Zelda, are the only two games I am looking at getting for the rest of the year.

No, I'm not serious. Sorry for being a tease, but it's my back-up, and I may be giving it to someone else later. Besides, the Lite is better in every way. Longer battery life, better color, better screens, better light, better buttons, better everything. The only problem is when you have a GBA cart in it. It sticks out. If you don't play GBA games, then it's not a problem. Maybe if you had a wishlist for christmas, and there was a way for people here to throw a few bucks in, like on amazon or something... then maybe you could get one.

My cousin Tracy is married to one of the writers there, Luke. Just sayin'. And I've been in their offices a few times, and the first time I went, they gave me free stuff, like a MDK2 shirt and game, and some comics, and other cool stuff. And I know where they eat, it's downstairs from their new office on the south side of Edmonton, and...

According to Jeux France, it is indeed a remake, not a sequel. Shame... they could have made a sequel and given up more instead of touched-up old. Well, it's still a good game, so...
