  1. i've been missing every birthday lately. happy you're-older day!
  2. i can't believe that i forgot completely about my involvement with this project. care to change the first post to my current (and accurate) username?
  3. slightly incorrect. 32-bit operating systems can only utilize 2^32 bytes of ram - in other words, 4gb of ram. your system reserves a small amount for usage below the OS level, leaving you with around 3.8 or 3.9 gigabytes of ram. your video card also eats into that - so, if you've got a card with 512mb of vram, you're looking at 3.4-3.5gb of usable ram on your system. 64-bit can use 2^64 bytes of ram, which is closer to 127.5gb. like, mega-server stuff. also, in 32-bit, no one program can use more than 2gb of ram without using a (software) 3gb switch (which are notoriously glitchy to begin with). 64-bit doesn't have this limitation. you'd think that everyone would just use 64-bit, but there's a lot of software incompatibility, particularly with drivers (the Yugo of the software world) and games. there's also the fact that a few processors (out of hundreds) can't function with x64-based systems. it's rare that you have that issue, though. 64-bit software has come miles in the last year or two, though. just check your most-used programs and make sure that they're compatible with 64-bit windows, or that there's a driver for your hardware. i'd suggest 64-bit if you can - it's going to be better in the long run.
  4. it's really too bad that every one of his soundtracks sounds very similar to everything else he's written.
  5. got .wav files from obtuse and dafydd, and am just waiting on stevo, caleb, and a response from theophany.
  6. at least half of these people don't visit the boards...like, at all, anymore.
  7. i'm not. no worries. i mean, this is the OCAD thread, isn't it? isn't this the point of the thread?
  8. which is the hilarious thing, because it was such a stupid comment. i mean, do you really think someone would paint a nice picture for us by hand and then shit on one big section right in the middle?
  9. thanks for the info, man =)

  10. hey, why is there an egg at the top of the mountain? that's really weird...(BS's comment on the artwork for the Link's Awakening project) you've gotta think before you type, man
  11. the one i linked you.
  12. we're coming up on two years of service of this thread. there is stuff on here that hasn't been updated in two years. i'll be purging this thread soon - probably next week or the week after. i'll leave up the stuff that's relatively recent (ie, i recognize it), and will be dating all entries from now on. if an entry's up and un-updated for more than about six months, i'll take it off. plan accordingly, please. make sure you're letting me know about stuff you've sold elsewhere.
  13. =) good to hear. so, cool story, guess what was the first thing to pop up when i googled "windows 7 mac freeze"?
  14. it's square, what do you expect? =)
  15. that was from a while back. every year, most of the projects cancel themselves on april first. pretty often, everyone believes them, too.
  16. you probably should, because our original art team of four people dropped to one after three of them bummed out within about a week or so. caleb works a zillion hours a week, he can't cover that. he's got some stuff, and that's all. but it's all hand-painted, none of that electronic crap.
  17. FFX on the PS3, with real voice actors instead of the homeless people they dredged up for the PS2 version.
  18. awesome, dafydd! thanks so much. we're waiting on stevo (end of the week) and theophany (probably within the next day or two), and we'll be done with music. calebyte's sending me a cut of the website in a day or two as well. we're close, folks. real close.
  19. growing up in buffalo, this was always played at the Sabres games at the hockey arena. brings back memories.
  20. uh, what? asdf
  21. hah, i love that one. similarly, there's a lot of pep band/fight songs that have hilarious names. for example, (4:16). the whole video is awesome, though, they are really into it =)
  22. hey, cool. i remember listening to the original CSRP back in college and enjoying it. thanks for doing this, man =)
  23. glare will paralyze them! how do you expect them to work when paralyzed!
  24. i'd be a big fan of a game that took the excellent voice acting and spaceflight combat and the decent storyline of freelancer and combined it with the functioning, dynamic economy, huge amount of enemies and character models, and beautiful graphics of a game like eve. of course, an offline version of eve would be fine by me, too. i loved that game, i just can't see myself paying for it.
