http://www.revouninstaller.com/ - revo uninstaller is basically an advanced uninstaller that cleans up the mess left behind by poorly written uninstaller programs. it'll check your registry and file system for bits left over, and it has a bunch of other features for tracking down and eliminating spyware as well. http://aren.hulubulu.net/ - advanced renamer is the best free batch renaming program available. period. i used this extensively with a project a little while ago that involved over 1400 mp3 files, and it make my life SO much easier. the best part is the undo functionality, which will allow you to undo anything you've done since the program was opened last. http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ mp3tag is the best free batch retagging program available. sensing a theme? i used it with the above project, and it is very powerful. supports tagging on everything, too, from common files like mp3 and wma to weird stuff like ape, optimfrog, and wavpack. http://www.cutepdf.com/ cutepdf saved my butt in college more than once. it allows you to print to a pdf file, which is great for when you go to submit papers or need to print somewhere where they might not have office 2007 or whatever program you use. i'm sure most people have discovered something like this, but it works really well for proofing your papers before printing them. what about you all? got any cool and useful programs that someone might want to try out?

just sell the ps3 on ebay. you'll make a ton of money pretty easily with that - don't 60gb systems still go for like 200+, even like that? it's not like they're still under warranty.

so today, i taught one class at school (which i couldn't get out of), and then proceeded to veg out all day. got my wife to play rock band 2 drums with me, too =) we're going to 'dinner' with a bunch of friends in an hour or two. good day so far.

you can't do that, unfortunately, because i did face shrine as my first project track ever. why is that a big deal? because i did it in an orchestral style, and added a melody line that i created. and it was almost the exact thing that this melody line is. and i hadn't listened to this first. so you won't be disappointed.

because there are? lots of repeats, man. that's why aeth had to pare down the listing so much originally.

lol! i recently started listening to this soundtrack again. i didn't like the game much, but i really like some of the creativity he displayed in executing this soundtrack. you listen to, say, VII, and then this, and you hear just how far sound design on the PSX had come. pretty awesome.

blue dragon was donkey turds. d o n k e y t u r d s. everything about it was poorly thought out, and execution was bad. and the battles reminded me of crisis core (in the words of zircon, "you just push x...x, x, x, WIN!").

i've got one - black label, all artwork and book and discs in great condition, jewel case has a crack in it - that i'd sell for a decent amount. with a new jewelcase, it'd easily be showroom quality.

there's no way in hell i'm typing all that stuff. list it out, please, or else you'll have to get a 'ps3 + games and accessories, 400$' listing.

if either of you want to get a newer system, i can make something decent for like 300$. it won't win any land speed records, but it'll be light years ahead of what you're used to. i'd be happy to waive my fees to make it work.

lol protoolz i generally record everything to a click, meaning that you don't have to worry about timing across the board. if there's any point where i want to change tempo, i usually earball it as close as possible.

are you using 64-bit windows? if not, you threw the money for the extra two gigs of memory into the trash can, since it won't recognize more than 4gb. also, neblix, that's not that bad of a processor. it's got nothing on, say, an e8400, or a mid-level i7, but it's decent enough to do less complex stuff. more than half my music was done on a 3.4ghz single-core celeron, 533mhz fsb if you're loading this into fl studio properly and the audio's routing correctly, make sure you're fully updated. i've always found kontakt to be needlessly twitchy when you're using it as a vst, so updating hopefully will fix any complexities you're missing.

this has been bumping around upstairs for a while, and i can't remember where i found this stuff. the website was one that Caleb Kinkaid used to submit stuff to. it was a weekly 'contest' that highlighted great unknown game music. i found the Treasures of the Deep soundtrack through it several years ago. the first flash game was one someone here turned me onto. it was streams of music that you redirected into boxes using these different circular objects, and while you couldn't hear anything at first when you got the audio into the boxes you started hearing a loop of music. the second flash game has nothing to do with music. you start off with a bunch of circular tiles that disappear when the stack is the right height (based on a number on each tile). i have NO idea what it was called. it used to be my casual game of choice before i discovered bloons.
