  1. i've suggested it several times, but the management has ignored me (as far as i can tell). i think it could be a really nice setup, but that's just me. overclocked.net has a great setup where trader ratings (similar to ebay ratings) is linked directly to each forum post. i liked that. edit: what system? i don't do research anymore.
  2. they are relatives, after all. the altair and desmond looked like clones, too.
  3. that's what i said, until he sent me a picture of himself. he looks like a black dude with asian descent. assuming it's him, at least. it was a profile picture or something of him playing the guitar.
  4. from a post on the official AC forums. "Sooo I'm looking at the new Game Informer right now, and it tells a few thing but only has one new image, the one we already have, the 5th one. - You'll have a ton of new weapons to choose from including an axe, a hammer, a mace, a spear, 2 different sword types, a spear axe thing, and 2 smaller blades - You CAN swim - Da Vincis workshop is in the game - Locations include Saint Marks Basilica, The Grand Canal, The Little Canal, and the Rialto bridge. - The game opens in 1476, Altair is from 1191 - So you do indeed play as a new ancestor of Altair / Desmond -You will see the countryside of Tuscany - The "Auditore" family is mentioned - The main characters name is Ezio Auditore de Firenze - He is a nobleman of Florence - Big characters are in the game including Machiavelli, Caterina Sofrza, and Lorenzo de Medici - YOU DO INDEED FLY AND THERES A PICTURE OF IT. and thats just what I got from the pictures. I'll let you know more details as I read more. - Game will feature a new notoriety system that governs how enemy soldiers and people will treat you. - You can disarm enemies and use their own weapons against them this time. - each weapon has a special move. - 16 unique mission types. - No more ease dropping or pick pocketing missions. - If you get beat up to much you will need to see a street side doctor to regain ful strength. - Hidden objects (like flags in the first one) are there to uncover but this time if you track them down you will get in-game bonuses that make it worth your time. - Items include, flags, statues, and gold coins and more that isnt mentioned. - New enemy types with unique attitudes and weaknesses are present in the game. Archers are mentioned, as well as elite enemies, dagger wielders, "Brutish" armored troops with heavy armor and 2 handed swords and axes, and an intelligent halberd enemy will probe hiding places with their weapons if they think you're near by. - While hiding in a hay bail you can assassinate people this time, but it may expose your position. - You can still climb towers and ride horses - The Lorendo de Medici assassination is in the game. - There is now a night and day sequence in the game. - 240 people are working on this title." this sounds really, really good.
  5. whoops, good call. took out a few ps2 games i've bought as well. anything to save a few characters =) edit: how many characters is the max in this setup? we're at 13,600 or so including spaces, 11,800 without them. i thought it was a 10k limit for characters.
  6. the tech from DNA - if they ever get it working properly - will help when it's only one instrument (which is how it works in every demo i've ever heard), but i don't know if there will ever be a way to do, say, a string quartet. you'd think it'd be easier, but i guess it's not.
  7. he was nice sometimes, and then he'd go bonkers and hate everyone. he was involved with another forum i was an admin of, and he was the biggest ass to everyone there. he'd blame it on his heritage (3/4 black and 1/4 korean) and then get so racist on everyone.
  8. ah, wangless, forever comparing yourself to others...you'll never beat an "n-word", i'll guarantee that from the get-go. they've got "better genes".
  9. man, these threads pop up so often. you'd think that since it's the same five or six people that comprise most of their posts that they'd chill out by now. kfc hates everyone and left. gl moved on, as did disco dan. hell, most everyone that didn't die and rarely posts here anymore just plain moved on with life, and don't do stuff like this anymore. they're too busy being 'real people'. overrated, in my book =) who was it that had a forklift run over their arm or something and crush it? was that kfc? i thought it was a guitarist, but i don't remember.
  10. there's a really easy way to convert mp3 files to midi. you can find a link to the tutorial here. edit: intelliscore is horrid. i tried it a while back. it's particularly bad when an instrument plays more than one note at the same time. it's only bad at single-note instruments like a clarinet, it's really terrible at guitars, pianos, and the like.
  11. sorry to be an ass, but what exactly are you asking about? advice for mixing? i don't think you actually asked a question here. look at the music you like to play and make a creative arrangement of a vg theme using that style. creative = not just the chords with the melody over the top, mind you, do something new to it that's not been done before. i don't get why people ask "lolhax how do i mix :tomatoface:" sometimes. you take the theme you like, you do something different to it. that's all a remix is.
  12. updated. when you got those ps2 games, deathbyspoon, let me know. because i might be interested in some of them. something tells me that, with the DSi's lack of a cart port, that GBA games are gonna be super cheap soon.
  13. hey, mark your spoilers, nubclown. my argument about mirror's edge was that i wanted that fluidity of running - the roll-on-impact, the smooth jumping, the variety of wall moves - in assassin's creed. it was so simplistic (you held rt and a to do bloody everything) that it bothers me now. in a post-ME world (i know, but for me it was a big deal), you need that kind of running style. i hope they implement it.
  14. list your ps2 games and i'll post all this.
  15. that won't happen for a looooong time. that's why, if i ever get a ps3, i'm hacking it up and putting into a computer case with a ps2 in there as well. one drive for the 2, one for the 3. i might even mod the top and stick a PSone in there just for the toploading awesomeness. won't even hook it up or anything.
  16. i think that will smith is a good actor. i also think that christian bale is a good actor.
  17. holy crap, when you think you've seen everything... your dune mix is my favorite mix ever!
  18. where the hell is anso? he's usually fanboyed all over anything involving shmups by now. i mean, this is the 7th post, and all. looks good, man. keep it up!
  19. it does, but it's not a computer. most usb devices aren't compatible with it. some hard drives are, but only if they're formatted in a specific way, and you can only use them to play movies and music, if i remember correctly.
  20. done. all sorts of gba cartridges, pretty cool. i might wind up picking up one or two if i can't get the emulators working on my psp.
  21. if something goes through on ebay properly, i just got ffx, ffx-2, and ffxii (with the game guides for x and xii) for 35$ plus 6$ shipping. original editions, too, not greatest hits. ooh-HA! i love birthday money. this is assuming that the ended auction that i spotted (without any bids) gets relisted with a BIN, like i asked the guy to. but i think he'll do it.
  22. it's a proprietary interface that only fits on the 360, unlike the ps3 which fits most hard drives that fit in the case slot. and, if i remember correctly, it's got a customized file structure within that can't be duplicated without opening it through a special program.
  23. ah! it's because you don't have a full version of windows on your disc. you've got an upgrade-only disc, requiring a previous validated version of windows in order to install.
