  1. This one sticks in my mind the most from the first round of the GRMRB 2011, and it's primarily because I was completely "blown out of the water" by this newcomer whom I had previously heard nothing about. It's still on my primary playlists today. Great work, and I hope that you'll be entering the next Mega Man compo!!
  2. I haven't read through the six pages of comments so far, but basically, if you can prove that you were using it before them, you are the superior rights holder. Also, you're music, and they are not. They are actually very different from music, so there is little to no likelihood of confusion, so there is little chance that they can nail you for trademark infringement. Feel free to send me a PM if they keep harassing you.
  3. Geez, apparently, since my joke wasn't about lizards, pancakes, or Nicholas Cage, it wasn't taken as it was meant to be. It was a joke, guys. Srlsly
  4. Same here. I really hope this doesn't happen to me. Good strategy
  5. No Avengers vs. X-Men, huh? I hadn't been following the mainline Marvel continuity that closely until the X-Sanction miniseries. Then I was intrigued. AvX is panning out quite nicely so far. The Archie Mega Man series is top notch. They don't take many liberties with the source material. It just expands on the source material, like you said. Anyone who likes the Mega Man video games will like the comics.
  6. Your song was really great. Hope to hear more from you in the next compo! Even though I voted for Amphibious, your song was definitely a close second. You should also participate in the next compo!! EDIT: Magellanic, I meant to also add that your song was phenomenal, and I'm sorry to see Starlight Zone come to such a quick end. You need to participate in the next compo, too!
  7. Whoops, I totally forgot Young Justice. Awesome show.
  8. You're definitely right on about the weird live action shit that is on Adult Swim. I think there's another problem with Cartoon Network, and it is something that isn't endemic solely to that channel. It's a problem with nearly all American animation since the early to mid 2000s: it's now almost solely focused on kids. Example: Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Courage the Cowardly Dog, etc were all shows that greatly appealed to kids. But I still enjoy watching them now, and I'm pushing 30. They have a lot of adult humor injected into every episode that goes over most kids' heads. Better example: Batman:TAS, Batman Beyond, Samurai Jack, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Sym-Bionic Titan. All amazing shows, and kids could definitely enjoy them, but the themes were much better appreciated by adults. Not to mention some very adult jokes. The new Thundercats show is pretty good, but it seems like the exception, not the rule (but it'd still be awesome if they ran an "uncut" version on Adult Swim in which Panthro swears as often as I imagine he would if it weren't airing on Saturday mornings). Anyhow, I still have some hope for the return of Toonami. (EDIT: Obviously not hope that it will return, but that it will actually have some semblance of its former quality)
  9. Nice. Love the "#ToonamisBackBitches"
  10. Nice remix in the Sonic compo!!

  11. Yeah, I haven't touched Dial H for Hero, but I did pick up Earth 2 and The World's Finest. Both are pretty great so far. Nice tie-in with Mr. Terrific, too (I'm guessing he'll be coming out more as the series progresses, since his comic ended with him accidentally going to Earth 2). Earth 2 wasn't exactly what I was expecting based on the cover art, but the alternate super heroes and origins are pretty interesting so far, and I think it'll be a great comic.
  12. I know it's not really abandoned, but it seems that there has been a major drop off of interest since the Sonic compo started, and there was that bit of shenanigans with the Capcom involvement. It was more of an invitation for more discussion.
  13. I'm really excited to hear this. I've been waiting for this album for a loooong time, and I'll be eagerly awaiting its release!!
  14. So, could someone clarify something for me? If someone defeats SuperiorX, does that mean he or she takes over running the compo?
  15. @Overflow, about the ending... That guy was Thanos, one of the biggest villains of the Marvel Universe. A simple Google search will give you the answers that you're looking for.
  16. Nice choice of words. Invokes some...interesting...imagery.
  17. Zephyr Cradle is pretty awesome. Check out this one http://www.zephyr-cradle.info/celestia/index.php/%E5%83%95%E3%82%89%E3%81%AF%E3%81%93%E3%81%93%E3%81%A7%E3%81%BE%E3%81%9F%E5%BB%BB%E3%82%8A%E4%BC%9A%E3%81%86_-RADICAL_DREAMERS-
  18. I didn't catch the monocle and top hat on Search Man before. Nice touch.
  19. Ah, okay, cool. Wasn't sure if it had found its way here or not yet, and it's such a great album cover that I had to post it. Love the pic of The Concrete Men.
  20. Don't know if this has been posted anywhere around here yet, but... http://29.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m143zdQ5vO1qmj226o1_1280.jpg
  21. Yep, WIP = Workshop Forum. One of the moderators may move this over there anyhow, but if you want to avoid that, you can always do it yourself. Listening to the remix now, and I'm really digging it. I'm hesitant to call it "minimalist" because of the negative connotations that come along with it sometimes, but I actually really enjoy "minimalist" remixes. Thanks for jumping on this request! Hopefully, you do revisit it in the future so it could get posted on OCR!
