  1. Synths are still <3 The guitar and drums now sound a bit strange now that we're used to all these high quality remixes, but I don't get tired of the arrangement between chrous repeats.
  2. The repetitive part isn't the problem, it was just going on for a bit too long. I still enjoy it though here and then.
  3. Mellow atmosphere, I could keep it on repeat for hours. Reminds me a lot of Röyksopp.
  4. Since my bf is doing some December is Review Month with my computer, not doing it too would make me look bad. I'm totally biaised since it's one of my favorite songs from the original soundtrack. Kickass bass :3
  5. Off-topic is that way -> Now stop posting if it's not relevent to the thread.
  6. Yesterday I was watching my bro play and he ended up playing on OCR's server for a good hour. I was trying to guess who's actually from OCR and who isn't but I could only notice Baha and later DS as part of the crew. If you killed or got killed by a certain Shaclovv(qc), that was my bro =P He usually plays on the fort map so it was pretty hilarious watching him get lost in other maps then blown to pieces a few times.
  7. Have you looked at train ticket? I found it a cheap alternative to flying.
  8. There was also this zip/album some guy posted on here about 2-3 years ago, called PWN TEH N00B. Their group was called Electro Static Discharge. It was more like trash chiptune than grind though, but still. I believe they perfomed at MAGFest in the Jamspace.
  9. I'm very interested in hearing some Cadillacs & Dinosaurs remixes too. Note that the soundtrack referred here is from the Capcom arcade game, not the Sega CD/PC game(based on the comic serie) developped by Rocket Science Games.
  10. Nippon Ichi and Atlus have a good amount of RPGesque games, both on console and handheld.
  11. On my druid, it felt more like TBC healing, and it felt good. LB only stacks on 1 person at a time, and unlike TBC we don't end up sitting half the time out of FSR since half our hots last for less now, so we have to refresh more often. I liked it. A lot. I think Cata will bring calculated heals back, instead of favoring spamming like Sunwell and LK.
  12. I lost the link for the spreadsheet, but atm mastery for spriest is considered a 0.3 dps increase (lowest) vs int at 2.7 (highest). It's completely not worth getting, and crit and haste are to be prioritized instead. I reforget all extra hit and sp on y priest's gear into haste or crit. Some other specs also need to have their mastery looked at (ex.: combat rogues). As for Holy Priests, they're now having trouble keeping their mana up while healing the same way they did through all of LK. They now have Cata mechanics but those are incompatible with this xpac. I think I found a AuldLangSyne replacement that works with any brokers, still gotta test it though. Edit: Yep looks just like it: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info11440-Broker_SocialState.html
  13. The rotation Rama posted about DK dps rotation is only if you're not Frost with the HB glyph. Festering Strike becomes useless in that case, and right now adds die too fast to make it worth applying a 2nd disease with PS + Pest. Tanks are having issues right now, some due to bugs and others because they, like Holy Priests for example, have been given Cata tanking mechanisms while we're still in LK. Those problems become more apparent while raiding, especially HM encounters. As for Fubar-related stuff: I didn't like how few options ChocolateBar offered compared to Fubar, but I found Bazooka, and I'm loving it! I just need to find an equivalent to the addons that are Fubar-dependent.
  14. I used to play some games over and over even if I sucked at it, just because I enjoyed the music (Dragon Warrior, Faxanadu, Mickey's Mousecapade, Wonderboy 1&2, etc.) during the 8-bit era. It's more during the 16-bit era with my Genesis and SNES that I started listening to the songs with the option menu, or by exploring stages. I clearly recall spending hours just swimming around doing flips in Ecco The Dolphin's intro stage, or keeping Sonic 2's Hidden Palace song playing for a good hour. And then we got our first PC. Diablo's Tristram, Starcraft's Terran theme (the only race I hated playing), Grim Fandango's entire soundtrack... And that's also when I was finally able to play GB and GBC games. Pokemon Blue was my first. I was thrilled the day I found vgmusic.com. And then about all those game sound files that my Winamp could play with just a plugin or 2. I now make people discover good soundtrack of games I haven't even played.
  15. So, after 2 days of raging because of interrupted update from internet issues (campus server is shitty) and 4 attempts at installing the damn thing, I finally have 4.0. There's another patch currently downloading, but I can deal with that one. There are still quite a few bugs I heard, which was to be expected. Some are very annoying though, like certain mobs hitting more than normal (scaling issues) or certain skills not behaving correctly like resto druids with no internal CD on their pvp skill making them OP, or a Blood DK's bubble sometimes absorbing 0 dmg. And I've been trying to look for a decent replacement for Fubar without having to find addon equivalents in ages. ChocolateBar sounds like it's worth looking at.
  16. Hahaha! Silly girl Now if only my campus internet would stop dying every 5 minutes... Halfway done with the patch and it's been almost a full day. At least I get around 65kb/s when it's stable. 'Til then I can figure out what specs my chars are going to be. Major lols related to this patch right now are huntards crying about using focus instead of mana. Hilarity all over the boards.
  17. I'm loving the changes to DK trees. Might partly be because I always loved Blood tanking even during 3.0 (I did have to rely on starla's rogue or a hunter's MD though 'til the changes to threat generation), and 2h Frost tanking was my 2nd option until 3.2. Frost tanking is no more, but at least they brought back the 2h option in that tree. I can't say much about Unholy since I never played it and the playstyle never looked appealing to me. Almost every tree got overhauled to a certain point. Fused skills, less points to be spent all-around (no more 5pt talents) and some trees feel more specific for a certain job/playstyle now, not only for DKs, but also for Locks and Hunters, as an example. Demo and Destro got many talents switched around in the last few patches, and only now I feel like it makes more sense overall. I've been spending some time on the Cata beta talent builder of Wowhead since my last post and I'm impressed right now on some changes. Feels a bit like playing a new game, rotations have changed to a certain extent for everyone.
  18. Healing was becoming increasingly easy partly because at some point healers just can't go oom anymore (unless you're an undergeared shaman). And then there was the whole pigeonholing into a specific raid job for some classes/specs still. Paladins are godly at single target healing, but aren't very recommended for raid healing, whereas the opposite is completely true for priests. Hell, priests have become rather shitty when it comes to single target healing: as holy you're better at putting them on raid heal with their kickass CDs for the boss when they used X attack, while as disc you're asking them to mitigate as much dmg on as many people as they can deal with (examples that come to mind are Twin valks and Anub'arak from ToC). As for tanking, I just wish Blizzard will finally have all 4 classes more balanced. I'm tired of seeing 2 tanks fare MUCH better than the 2 others (like bear + pala vs warr + dk in 3.2) and poor itemization all around. I'm eager to see how easy it'll be with the new stat distribution and tree bonuses. I share mostly the same PoV than Rama and Gecko for WotLK. I've finally been able to enjoy BG PvP more, even though for anything else than EotS, AB and sometimes WSG, things were quite boring (no more vehicles ffs!). Arena PvP was about as attractive to me now than during TBC when I tried with my shadow priest. Quest chains were interesting to do if only lore-wise, the whole phasing was fun and felt immersive (just not fun for mining/herbing) and the regular/heroic system is certainly making things more interesting... Given they finally stop changing things around every new raid release. Maybe I should start playing again to see the pre-Cata patches. I don't feel like I've been missing much since May 'til now, other than maaaaybe getting my warrior better geared for tanking (she's in T8 mainly with the Crest of Lordaeron still). I'm just sad tree druids will become temporarly (and they're apparently changing the look too, the only form druids haven't asked to touch) and depending of how it works, it might be the last drop to make me switch from healing to tanking. Unless they add tri-speccing. I'm certainly not going to change my kitty spec for bear, rawr! <3 Or I'll just completely switch main character again like I did from TBC to LK. Although I stopped playing my first priest because I was fed up of looking at a BE. Now to decide if I change her into a tauren or a goblin...
  19. Only a handful of songs from the game (under Rudra no Hihou) are on Youtube. The game didn't see a fan-made translation until a while ago either. The soundtrack however is available as a .rsn here. This soundtrack really needs more love, it's one of my favorites on the SNES. from the unreleased Starfox 2 is in 5/4. It's also one of my favorite tracks of the soundtrack, along with Battle Against Mirage Dragon. sounds like 5/4 too, unless I'm not counting right.
  20. You don't deserve that space! More topic-related: People sometimes told me my sig creeps them out, but when the sig went down(or rather the hosting website) people wanted it back. Not sure what to think of it.
  21. Plok's and levels.Stevo posted it in IRC yesterday after I made him listen to it, but for whoever hasn't heard it yet, alternates between 4/4 (or 2/4) and something else. isn't in 4/4, for sure.
