For casual people, Tekken is a money maker, as are Gun Con games MvC2 is probably the most popular 2D fighter, I'd say start with that and build to CvS2 and 3s. If you can/want to you can go for Arcana Hearts, Melty Blood and Guilty Gear XX AC Good luck
