  1. Not the same name, but... http://www.doomworld.com/linguica/doomcovers/
  2. http://twitter.com/egmnow After a bit of silence and minor updates, we've been told a few things. First, the "lost" issue of EGM (remember that tidbit in a past thread here?) is going to be available on EGM's new website when it goes live. Second, that new website is pretty much done, and should be up and running in the not too distant future. This site should finally reveal info about EGM's resurrection that was expected back during E3 (when the first issue comes out, etc.). Not a lot, but at least we're getting closer to having a concrete date.
  3. Reminds me of what EA did with their much promised 1.03 patch that was going to fix the many, many issues with the C&C: The First Decade compilation. That patch was "coming" for so long, that eventually users had to go and fix the things EA said they would, but never did. This is patch is being done for different reasons obviously. But two months having gone by, and only a "we're working on it" comment from the company, made me think of the EA stuff. And thus ends my off topic comment.
  4. An now that I'm done eating up the remaining two characters, here's the next review... inFamous
  5. The drama rolls on until OCR can officially take the "We Know Drama" tagline from TNT.
  6. So the characters are being kept secret, eh? Well, if any new one's should happen to be from the Darkstalkers saga, I'd be happy to tackle it.
  7. So is this project forgotten about, or just simply abandoned?
  8. I for one, am happy to see this game coming over here. With Raiden Fighters Aces already out on the 360, this is a welcome dose of shmupping love from a classic series that I've always enjoyed. The big question is, will we get the soundtrack CD packed with it like it was in Japan?
  9. 1- WALL-E 2- The Incredibles 3- Cars 4- Ratatouille 5- A Bug's Life The first slot was filled easily. WALL-E has to be one of the best movies I've seen in recent years. It was cute, funny, touching, and did all this with no dialogue half the time, and no gross out or kiddie level toilet humor. It's easy to see why it won the Best Animated Feature Film Oscar last year, and why people felt it should have been nominated for the Best Picture category.
  10. http://www.egmnow.com/press1.html So, after nearly twenty years, EGM was unceremoniously canned out of the blue. The "final" issue, February 2009, still has yet to be released via PDF as it was promised to be by James Mielke back in January. Everyone thought the magazine was dead and gone. Think again. Steve Harris has made a deal with Ziff Davis to re-acquire the trademarks and publishing rights. You remember Harris. The one who created EGM back in '89? He's got his magazine back, and has apparently decided to bring the magazine back some time in the second half of this year. There are plans to make an announcement at E3. For a bit more info, read Mielke's blog post here. Is this just a joke? Will it fall through? I don't know. But the idea of EGM being back on the shelves does put a smile on my face.
  11. Why would I use a browser that plays my gifs too slowly (last time I checked, both use a down throttling setup like IE does)? Besides, it has something to do with FireFox 3. Various interactive things simply don't work, like the play buttons on that site, or the newer interactive radar on weather.com. They work fine on the final versions of FireFox 2, so I just downgraded.
  12. Shame I can't hear the comparisons I'm not familiar with. Even with Adblock disabled, and NoScript allowing everything, not one music link works.
  13. Did you ever get over the mental scars made by all the comparisons to the Dell guy?
