  1. Being the n00b that I am on this forum, I didn't realize this subforum was there. I've already "officially submitted" this song to OCR, but this might've been best to do first. Ah well, if the judges reject it and want it resubmitted, at least I'll have more feedback to work with before I resubmit. Anyway, I finished this track a couple of days ago. It's an old school eurotrance remix of the Bryyo cliffside theme of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Here's the link to the source material on YouTube: And here's the link to my MySpace, where I uploaded it: http://www.myspace.com/skyggesang The track's name is "Entranced Amidst Thorns". Haven't seen anyone sharing a track this way yet, so if it isn't the proper way or something, tell me so and I'll use another method. In that case, I would like a link to another reliable hosting site or such, thanks! I'd very much like to get some feedback on it, even though I've already submitted this version. I'll await the judges' verdict on this before I make any modifications (I'm also revising my other 2 tracks at the moment), but I'm just eager to hear what people say about it. NOTE: If you please, comment on the remix AFTER you've become acquainted with the source material (if you aren't already). It's probably not really needed to make this request, but I'm just saying. Thanks in advance for taking the time to listen and comment!
  2. Only started using Fruity loops 8 not too long ago, so I'm still a noob at this. That being said, all opinions and critiques are very much welcome
  3. But you all have to wait until it reaches the front page to hear it.
  4. Well, here it is. I didn't get much feeback on it when it was in it's WIP days, and to be honest I don't expect much but I figure it's not too bad and some of you out there might fancy listening to it. I had Several PM's on my youtube channel asking for a download so guess I thought I'd pop it on here too. Not really after critique now. If ya' like it listen, if you don't then don't Hope to get some feedback on my future WIP's.
  5. Source: So, I've actually hit a bit of a roadblock as far as music is concerned. But I've been sitting on this mix for a while, and I figured its time I posted it. I started working on this a while ago in an attempt to try a different style from my usual bombastic orchestral leanings. I think I succeeded half-decently. Not sure about the piano soundfont. It sounds okay to me, but like I've mentioned before, I'm not overly picky about such things. Hope you likes... Enjoy!
  6. Hey everyone I'm Kenneth from Kenneth Boxall Studios. I just wanted to see if you'd be interested in hearing my remade video game covers and remixes and tell me what you think. I'm BY FAR not the best since I try to make the mixes Drum n Bass and I'm not the greatest with drums yet but some people find the Resident Evil Remix amusing. so to hear alot of my music you can goto www.youtube.com/kennethboxall or download them and contact my e-mail at www.kennethboxall.com
  7. This is what my GBA sound like i made it when i had the mind set that my synth Pew Pew skills were the **** but surely i was wrong:pretzel: (note there is a reason this is called broken gba, warning very random electro house song VERY EXPERIMENTAL) these are one of the songs i will also not work on lol now time to work on my ice cap project
  8. Improvised piano music, inspired by Fallout 3's themes (especially Fallout 3's Main Theme) and another post-apocalytic musics. Feel free to ask me questions. EDIT: Modified the links
  9. Original: My Cover: Programmed drums, multiple guitars and bass. 320kpbs, about a minute long *Updated March 24th, 2014
  10. This is from 2009 (pretty old), but I figured I should post it somewhere so it don't just gather dust on the hard drive. Wish I could replace a few samples here and there. Sadly, source file was lost in a HDD failure. http://www.tindeck.com/listen/uyvt Guitar by Rodrigo Nepomuceno from 8 Bit Instrumental. I almost lost this one but he sent it to me again.
  11. So I've been messing around with reverb a bit and I put together several songs (very conservative, but they're nice, IMO). Playing Tetris For The Queen: a medley of Tetris songs played in an acoustic setting (it had a classical feel, IMO). All Mine: the Donkey Kong Country 2 mine BGM (not the Portishead song) No Pokemon, Only Guitars: a dual-guitar duel of the Trainer Battle (I should've put the Trainer Defeat music at the end, but... eh). So I may or may not put original content into these songs, but for now, they're just something to play around with while I'm trying to learn how to make my songs feel more "lifelike". Thoughts (on reverb, mastering, panning, all that stuff, not "oh, this isn't a remix, it's too original", or "it's too repetitive", please)?
  12. Hello all! New to the site and forum, hoping for a warm welcome I was looking for an introduction forum, but I guess there isn't one Anyways! I came to this site by word of mouth at YouTube from a user suggesting I check it out, and here I am! I just realized were required to submit the songs by email! sry everyone >_< not sure if I should post the mp3 here or not yet, but I'll get back to it soon I would just delete the post but I don't see an option?
  13. Something from the upcoming Sonic 4...funny that the game isn't even out yet but fans already remix songs from it.. So yeah, here's Splash Hill: About 1 hours work so not much, especially since it's from me.. Oh and the source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dyhhBXXoeQ
  14. Yep... pretty much exactly what the topic says. It's Sean Paul's "Get Busy" mashed up with "Wild West" from FF6 (aka the Veldt) plus a bit of Umaro for fun, and some additional beats to thicken things out. Really goofy, but pretty funny, particularly in the chorus. Enjoy! Video: MP3: http://www.zirconstudios.com/music/random/zircon_Get_Busy_on_the_Veldt.mp3
  15. Well, I really like it at least. What do you think? http://www.tindeck.com/listen/bjud
  16. http://tindeck.com/listen/psrf Funk styled remix of Hydrocity. I view this as done, but I got a week left before I sub so crits are welcome
  17. I did this remix for a friend of mine who's having his stuff promo'd right now by Dangerbox Recordings, an electro/trance/prog type of label. The was a 133BPM trance epic, but I sped it up to 175 BPM and threw some DnB breaks into the mix. Check it out here:
  18. I thought I would post up one of my tracks to show what sort of stuff I make, My mates have always told me my stuff sounds like game music, so I joined your fine community. I would like to get involved in some remix action on here but don't know where to start. http://soundcloud.com/82nd-avenue/the-argument-of-periapsis-finished You can also download the 320kbps mp3 on there if you click the little arrow button on the player.
  19. Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted anything here and I've had writer's block for the first time in ages so I decided to put everything on hold and just write something for fun! I've seen alot of films lately so I wanted to make something really strong and thematic that kept getting intense throughout. Anyway hope you enjoy! http://www.mediafire.com/?3inkb34mclphvdh
  20. Here is my First Remix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2M16Sr0p6Z4 Wolf link singing Ganon's Theme.
  21. I hadn't made music in the past few week as I've been busy working. I sat down yesterday and today and have gone on a bit of a remix spree with Sonic 2. My aim was to keep really faithful to the old music but just have them sound a little more up to date, so they're really too similar to the originals to post as remixes on OCR, but I figured I would share. They took about an hour each from start to finish. I'm quite tempted to try finishing up the rest of the songs now to see if I can make a full remix album. The mp3s are available below: Chemical Plant Zone Remix Aquatic Ruin Zone Remix Hill Top Zone Remix Mystic Cave Zone Remix Oil Ocean Zone Remix Various bits Remix They're also up on YouTube:
  22. This is the non submission edit with 2 remixes in one, since i was too lazy to make them both so i combined them(not the best idea) , i'v been working on this song for a while as my first Ableton Rewired fl studio track. and also my first vocal acapella track/remix. sadly this version is better EQed and mixed then the submittion edit, and i submitted the wrong one with a bit rate of 160 cause of the rules on attachments, lowering the hell out the quality and im no longer improving this track still improving other tracks. and for the last time. for PLUCKS its a moog....... but hay enough of me heres the 2 versions, hope you guys like Originals- ice cap - just hold onFridged- http://tindeck.com/listen/qgts (in 192kbps, to lazy to make it 320kbps) Fridged Submittion Edit - http://tindeck.com/listen/uonn (in 312kbps in tindeck original is 320 kbps)
  23. I don't usually do this, but here is what is going to be my next submission to OCR. Just looking at the queue of remixes (some have been there since Jan), I might as well post it over here for now. I might still change the name.
  24. Already submitted this, but I figured I'd might as well get some quicker feedback for it here as to be able to use that feedback on my next musical adventure. Anyways, I was feeling in a Zelda-y Remixy mood and a friend suggested the palace themes, so I made a bit of an electronic medley remix of them and here is the result. http://www.box.net/shared/z18tm3xldb You can preview it in browser, but I believe the quality would be better if you downloaded it. Thanks in advance for any review.
  25. Hey guys and gals (maybe? I'm led to believe there are no girls on the internets), First post here.. Finally uploaded my first remix to youtube, thought I'd get some feedback and answer any questions (if anyone even has any.. I'm sure you're all experienced here). I really want to get more into doing remixes It's your standard heavy metal/rock remix thats oh-so-common these days. But it's what I love. Link is in my sig vvv EDIT: Updated link from SoundCloud http://soundcloud.com/nameless164/star-fox-corneria
