Hi! Was some time ago I posted something here. I've made some new songs, and I've been trying to up the quality on my songs as well as finding a "sound" that I like Thinking of maybe trying a VGM remix now that I've learned some stuff Only made one, and that wasn't very good. Any way these are some video game-isch tunes I've made recently (and this year): http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/584535 http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/585393 http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/582126 http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/577671 http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/566789 http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/566682 I post stuff on Newgrounds almost only so, but maybe I can be more active here as well in the future if I get into VGM remixes ^^ I'm just curious if I'm headed in the right direction! (I'm still stuck using Reason 5)

Just posted a compilation album of all the main level remixes I've ever released for GoldenEye: Source: http://music.solesignalmusic.com/album/goldeneye-source-remixes Several probably have been heard before, but we never released a Beta 4 soundtrack so at least a few should be new downloads.

Hey =) I'd like to present you my arrangement of Poison Mind or in other words - Boss Battle Theme from Castlevania (NES). I've chosen classical instruments and a fine kick drum in the background. Also added some FX Effects =) I hope you enjoy, just follow the link below: http://www.mike-sparrow.ch/poison_mind.mp3 Kind regards, your Mike Sparrow

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJatmYN3hGw Note changes at 0:57 down to F# left hand instead of up to B, D. I took the MP3 from the soundtrack and put it through Amazing MIDI than viewed the MIDI in Synthesia, the notes that came out were slightly different to the official sheet music. I doubt there was much error as it kept the majority of the piece as the usual notes. I played it with the new notes and it sounds more accurate. This raises the question was the Nobuo Uematsu's original arrangement changed slightly by Masashi Hamauzu for the sheet music book? Why do many To Zanarkand versions such as Dissidia, Distant Worlds, Black Mages, Itadaki, FFX Chips all have these notes and not released sheet music.

finished Super Mario Land - Birabuto Kingdom
motivemakesaman posted a topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
I decided to do a "power-pop" rendition of the song, with a Mr. Rodgers intro and outro. I hope you enjoy! With all sorts of vibraslap. http://youtu.be/4HJDbM02nb4 -
I have been remixing songs for a few years now and I feel like I'm finally to the level where I could submit something to OC Remix. I would love your opinions on what I should change or what's good before I submit it, as there is always room for tweaking. I'd love to be the first to submit this song to OC Remix! Also, in the guidelines for submitting it says you can't have any samples from Square Enix. I'm assuming that means I need to take out the coin sound effect from SMRPG that I used near the 'drop'. finished ff10 - Someday the dream will end PIANO
bluelighter posted a topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Hi, I've made a piano recording on this melody. www.reverbnation.com/bluelighter It's more a transcription than an arrangement. But I wonder about the production. What about the recording quality? Are some point those could be blocking for on OCR post ? Thanks for your help -
Hey Everyone, First time ever posting a remix. I feel like there's something that's really lacking and wanted some feedback. I'm going to a studio to mix and master on saturday so I'm trying to finish it up before then. Any feedback good or bad is appreciated. I know the mix is kind of sub par and I threw a master on it, but I'm looking more for arrangement comments. Maybe there's some atmosphere that can fill the gap that I'm missing. I'm working on a project for my personal enjoyment - a story album about spacey type things. Most of the songs are rock/metal oriented but this one is more spacey/groovy/mysterious. It's supposed to work as either an introduction to the whole deal or some kind of transition between songs, and it has elements of all of the songs incorporated into it. I think it stands pretty well by itself but I'm interested to hear what anyone else has to say, so give me some feedback! https://soundcloud.com/brad-charles/the-iron-giant

Original- 4:13 ( play-through, but needed atmosphere is key here)The guitar is buried beneath most of the mix here and is virtually nonexistent, which is strange because i poured most of my work into the guitar only to get the most necessary, yet dispensable aspect of the song...seriously I had the drums and ele piano done in 3 hours, but the guitar took me 3 days to tweak. Im really struggling to find the sweat spot between "substantial and original" yet be "identifiable and dominant" which is where my second point begins, if there is something missing, that I can't driver could someone point me in a direction where it could be found, perhaps anyone who feels like this is a project they could be apart of? If one were to look a my willingness to collaborate, it would say something like "very interested" but it should say "desperately seeking to make substandard music, into standard music". Atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere is the name of this mix's game, musical atmosphere. Thank you for the time and the listen!

So here's a funky, groovy remix of the song "Ripple Field" from the SNES game Kirby's Dream Land 3 that I originally did for MnP20. Never played the game myself but the source tune was very catchy, and it turned out to be a cool and fun track to work on. Still debating if this is fresh enough to submit to the judges or not, so let's hear it Remix: https://soundcloud.com/jorito/kirbys-dream-land-3-dreamin-of-them-funky-ripples Source:

Here's my cover of the Title Theme from Fallout 3. A bit less militaristic and plenty of jazz reharmonization. Here's the link to the Soundcloud.

Been a little since I've posted my work on OC Remix haha. Here's a beat tape I put together of my favorite sounds I've made so far. School is starting so I won't be able to upload a shit ton like I've been doing all summer. Of course it's free for download, or you can donate a little if you like, but you don't have to (enter 0$ for free) https://datfootdive.bandcamp.com/releases I hope you guys like it

I was unable to find a 100%-exact replica of this classic (one without power chord progressions, pinch harmonics and string bending), so I made one. This may not be the final mix, as it is my first time experimenting with multi-band compression via Maximus, and I have quite a bit to learn regarding that tool. https://soundcloud.com/darianharman/contra-stage-1-jungle-guitar-cover

Found back with pleasure this old remix of mine from my pre-Club Needlemouse phase. I always been a fan of the Ace Combat series also because of its soundtrack. Especially 3 and 4 were my all time favs and ended up remixing the ending from Distant Thunder. Humble remix, very simple as you can hear. :3 TAKE OFF
