https://youtu.be/8aodQM1D2rc One saturday evening my three kids and wife sat down and watched a movie (we do not often succeed on doing this) and the kids wanted to watch Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (they wanted it because it is named Monster Vacation here in Sweden). The inspiration came from the song that was played during Dracula's dance scene - "I See Love" by Jonas Blue. I liked the idea of combining my retro synth style with a more modern style, I think this is the first time I consciously do that. This also resulted in a more or less complete makeover of the Flying Battery theme, I hope you all appreciate what became of it As I wrote in my teaser post for this, the vibes coming from this kind of resembles or reminds me of the end of summer vacation and that life goes back to work and labor. With that in mind I hope you all have the courage to pursue your dreams and never give up getting to that work position you want. Start small, take a small step outside you comfort zone, take a step back, and then again a bigger step outside just to feel that change for something better. And remember - you DESERVE it. So I have completed a track I've been working on for quite a while now, called "Unalienable". It's sort of a philisophical pop song. It's a fairly polished demo: I started working on this song a couple years ago, but never finished it because I wasn't totally satisfied with the overall "sound". However, I got a StudioLive 24 Series III mixer with Studio One a couple months ago, along with a brand new computer that can handle more processing and memory. I decided it was time to return to this one and see what I could do with it. I dumped all the tracks off my MOXF6, redid the mix entirely, added several new layers, and recorded some vocals. I feel it's really coming together. It's sort of a pop/r&b tune with some synthwave influence. There are a few more things to do yet such as add vocals to the end of the song. I am also not satisfied with the saxophone solo, nor background vocals on the chorus parts. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to fix those backing vocals just yet. I'd love to hear opinions: what I did well, what I didn't do so well, how I can improve it, etc.

Bit of an odd one here - it's a concept piece inspired by Solaire and his unwavering faith and love for the sun. I tried to empathise with that feeling of pure enamourment and immediately thought of my wife, which made writing lyrics really easy. Musically, it's a bit on the heavy side, but I think there's something there for everyone, if you're not too limited in your tastes. I'd adore some feedback, whether it's about structure, the mix or even tones. Though, please keep in mind that this is only about 80% complete - I'm touching and tweaking the middle bit and some of the vocals need a bit of a polish/ re-recording. Hi everyone! I'm currently working on a remix of DDD from SM64. I actually played the melody from memory, so it might sound a bit different than the original. It's still unfinished (hence the abrupt ending lol). I didn't do much in terms of mixing, so i guess it will need some work in that regard too. So I am really stepping out of my orchestral/classical background with this game. The game is a challenging space racer title and the director of it really loves synthwave so I made sure the synthetic sound was in every track. However, I wanted to use acoustic sounding elements mixed in. My influences for this are Masashi Hamauzu and 65daysofstatic (No Man's Sky). These tracks are in their very VERY early stages so I plan to make changes. I hope those that listen really enjoy the music and maybe leave a comment to critique.
