  1. Hey there. Released 4 of my original tracks from the Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun mod Twisted Insurrection soundtrack, remastered, as an EP under my band name! Includes the Surveyors, an all new track with a Red Alert 1 sort of vibe, which will be included in the next version of the mod! Tracklisting: The Surveyors [4:17] Prodigal Son [4:56] Arming to Win [4:39] Xenophile [5:41] Cover artwork by Dawid Stobik of the Twisted Insurrection team, check out more of his work on Deviant Art! 2. Hey folks, I've been a great fan of this community and its content for more than a decade now. Therefore I'd like to take the chance to thank all the artists who contributed to this site After so many years I thought it's time to bring myself in. Over the past years I've become a huge fan of the synthwave genre. Since I kept listening to VGM since my childhood I thought it might be an interesting approach to merge both genres. I'd call it: VGMwave More recently I finished my first song and would love to contribute it to OCRemix. I was wondering if it's good enough? I'm eagerly awaiting your feedback! Also, I'm considering to set up a compilation for VGMwave. Maybe some of you might want to jump in? Would love to welcome some OCR-folks on board! Anyway, here's the track. It's still set to private, so please don't share it yet:
  3. Released today is my first album, self titled Artificial Eye. The catch-all genre is synthwave, but it encompasses a range of cinematic soundscapes and melodic tunes. Available on Bandcamp Tracklisting: Love Locket [3:00] Flight of Apollo [6:43] What Awaits [5:57] Don't Feel Bad [4:38] Designer Perfection [6:47] The Babysitter [3:42] Vacation [4:29] American Dream [8:29] The Future We Are [3:45] Follow on Bandcamp Like on Facebook Follow on Soundcloud Please give it a listen and tell me what you think!
  4. I wanted to produce a synthwave arrangement of the source but couldn't help using "organic" instruments for the leads and drums. I thought it could be interesting to try and find a right balance between synth and organic sounds -- keep those guitars, piano and drums and use only synths for the arrangements (which I'll start exploring way deeper when I find someone with a decent knowledge of synthwave music willing to help me ^^'). Original Source: Remix: I visualized Sonia telling her newborn son the tale of her adventures -- like it's a bedtime story -- when remixing this. Feel free to share feedbacks and whatnot :3
  5. So I am really stepping out of my orchestral/classical background with this game. The game is a challenging space racer title and the director of it really loves synthwave so I made sure the synthetic sound was in every track. However, I wanted to use acoustic sounding elements mixed in. My influences for this are Masashi Hamauzu and 65daysofstatic (No Man's Sky). These tracks are in their very VERY early stages so I plan to make changes. I hope those that listen really enjoy the music and maybe leave a comment to critique.
  6. Hey guys, it's been a while, but I've been busy. I've put together a 35 minute EP of Sonic The Hedgehog remixes from the 8 and 16 bit eras of Sonic called Zoned. The musical style is a blend of Electro-Funk and Retrowave with sprinklings of Chiptune. Included tracks from both 8 and 16 bit versions of Sonic The Hedgehog 1 and 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Sonic Chaos. Also interweaved into this album are soundbites from the games themselves, excerpts from 90s SEGA TV commercials, and dialogue from various video game documentaries that discuss both the significance of SEGA and Sonic The Hedgehog in the history and develop of video games and video game music. Tracks remixed are: Turquoise Hill Zone (Sonic 2 - 8 bit) Sky High Zone (Sonic Chaos) Star Light Zone (Sonic 1) Hydrocity Zone (Sonic 3) Bridge Zone (Sonic 1 - 8 Bit) Spring Yard Zone (Sonic 1) Underground Zone (Sonic 2 - 8 bit) Casino Night Zone - 2 Player (Sonic 2) Chemical Plant Zone (Sonic 2) It was released in conjunction with RadioSEGA and premiered on Sunday night as part of their Winterfest. If you didn't listen to the show and/or haven't yet grabbed a download, please help yourself. https://opussciencecollective.bandcamp.com/album/zoned Have a lovely Christmas and keep gaming, fellow remixers . Steve
  7. Hey guys! Did this one in a 32 hour game jam! The game is really fun and as you might have noticed it's 80s inspired. I hope you like it, cheers.
  8. Hi good people, just wanted to share one of the tracks i recently made for an animation series pilot. It's a sci-fi anime, i use many of my hardware analog synths for this track. All feedback appreciated!
  9. Here is a synthwave track I released on my label, Broken Synth. It's called Arkanoid (only inspired by the game, not a cover) Check it out here:
  10. Hey guys, new member here. I made this cover/remix a while ago but couldn't post it until now (the sign up process took a while). This is one of my fav chiptune songs of all time, and I decided it'd be fun to give it the synthwave 80s spin, let me know what you think: alternative soundcloud link: https://soundcloud.com/masquerader8/bloody-tears-outrun-cover-castlevania-ii Thank you for listening, see you around.
  11. Hey guys, don't normally post original music on this forum, but thought you might be interested in our last EP. It's 5 tracks that combine 80s synthwave, chiptune and 90s funky house. Have a listen, hope you like it http://opussciencecollective.bandcamp.com/album/i-wish-my-car-was-a-transformer
