Since a bunch of people have posted links to MP3's of their source tunes using Mediafire and Rama seems content with them, I thought I'd make my challenge easier.

Better Source tune: Rex's Lair From Metal Gear Solid

This was one of my favorite games way back when, and I always dug this tune. :)

Oooh I remember that song, I hope it gets done, and very well, fun game too...why can't games based off stuff like that be as nifty now as they were then.

Yeah...well my collaber and I hit a big road block on our remix for that song...if you want I can TRY and make another attempt of it later in the future dood, just PM me or something. Lol...somewhat obsessed with the track - I love it :P...and no I wouldn't marry it.

LOL, the [MP3] for "Moonlit Grotto" is STILL the version with half the channels muted ^_^ Please tell me you'll get around to it eventually...

File updated. I recorded that MP3 straight from the OST I had. Bass channel wasn't coming through, so I got a new one.

Um so is there a new thread for this competition? I'm eager to get remixing on that song ='(

It's not a new thread. The title was changed to let people know it's Phase 2, now. Phase 2 ends in less than 2 hours, and we have a bare minimum or requests (I think we're actually 1 short of 1 per mixer).

I want to have EXTRA requests, so I'll probably be adding another 20 or so to the pool, and we'll mix it up and have the match-ups announced sometime next week. After all the match-ups are handed out (likely announced in the thread and sent out in a mass PM) then mixers will have 1 month from that time.

JUST A HEADS UP FOR EVERYONE:

I am absolutely anal about file names and ID3 tags. Anyone in the IRC channel will tell you that. At the end of the competition, so that all files are uniform, to ensure everyone has hosting, and to make sure everything is done cleanly. We will likely be using the system at Compo:ThaSauce or a similiar system which uses ThaSauce userbase. WHICH MEANS, that you WILL likely have to have an account on ThaSauce (besides the fact that you likely should anyway). This means if you DON'T HAVE ONE YET that you should SIGN-UP now. In case that's what we decide on doing. This way you are PREPARED when it comes time to submit your finished mixes. This system will also automatically start AND end the mixing periods (submissions will shut off after the deadline.)

NOTE: IF YOUR REGISTRATION DOESN'T COME WITHIN A FEW HOURS. PM ME WITH YOUR DESIRED USERNAME AND PASSWORD AND I WILL TRY TO FORCE THE ACCOUNT.
