Dhsu
Haha, I think that was more a matter of epic fail on Red's part. So you mean you stabbed him while his sentry was upgrading? Actually happened to me once...very effective tactic.
zircon
Nope, I got him while the sentry was already upgraded. The trick is switching weapons to the sapper FAST.
Bahamut
One way to do it is to enable fast weapon switching in Options - Keyboard tab - Advanced, which lets you switch by just pressing the number. Or you can remap the keys.
SirChadlyOC
Q button FTW. I hope to be back online tonight, but I make no promises. I'm excited that Zircon loves Warpath too. I think it's time to enable rtv now that we have several maps under our belts. The favorite maps will win most times and we can still probably convince people to vote for new/different maps (like Warpath).
Hemophiliac
just checked that vid, point to take here...if you do that, and nobody else is around. shoot the sentry from the point, it'll take damage and be destroyed quicker (while sapped).

That point caps very quickly though, so it doesn't really matter. The only issue I have with the video is that the pyro didn't spy check. Also I hear that the other team can see the outlines of the sapper as well?

Bahamut
Well there's one problem Chadly - the custom maps got wiped out by Gameservers while we were trying to figure out why the server wasn't appearing in the server list.
prophetik music
i finally watched the tf2 roomba videos. i haven't laughed so hard in ages. edit - whoa, it's been a long time since i played. hopefully i can jump on this weekend - anyone playing saturday? Bahamut
Great...I can't find a Mac FTP client for the life of me . Guess I'll postpone changing the map rotation and stuff until tomorrow.
The Mutericator
More Mach4, less normal maps... Valve made some good maps, but after eight months I'm a little tired of Dustbowl and Gravelpit. Maybe the only built-in map I'm not sick of is 2fort, and even that I get tired of sometimes. I keep my mouse sensitivity on 10. Works out nicely. Bahamut
So any agreement on what'd be a good map rotation? Also, should I up the time for each map from 50 minutes to something higher?
EdgeCrusher
Id totally love to see Steel b4 on there. Its a fun map to play. Never tried warpath though.
Rambo
First ever full server last night? That was pretty intense, and both teams had some really skilled players. But God, do the numbers ever change the mechanics of the game. It's a totally different story from our usual 5v5.
DarkeSword
Despite that, I was still about to flank and immolate a few snipers. xD
EdgeCrusher
The server last night just wasn't fun for me. Guess I like having a server where I can go and do 5v5 or less, and then go to a bigger server for a packed one.

And I thought you had to leave early last night?
Bahamut
Wow, another night of a full server - wtf happened? Also, apparently we had some OCR lurkers on. Good playing with you guys!
DarkeSword
Yeah we also had some people who couldn't shut the fuck up.

Dhsu
I'm gonna guess summer + weekend. I skipped out tonight because, well...I kinda burned out after being on about 6 straight hours yesterday. I just don't know how to stop, so I stayed on until all the OCR people were gone, and then some.
SirChadlyOC
That was fun tonight, but man, am I done with Dustbowl for awhile. I would love to try a map that we rarely play, like Hydro. A custom map would be REALLY rarely played, but I think that is asking too much at this time. Also, did tonight mark our first ever banning? I thought it was warranted because I'm sure the guys were planning on griefing. Overusing map exploits = quick ban, but it didn't help that the first thing they did when they got on the server was spawn camp. I didn't miss them once they were gone. atmuh
wait i didnt get the first ban crap i should actually go back to playing
Bahamut
Nah, I've banned someone the night before for mic spamming. However this ban was definitely deserving, as these two people were abusing the glitch with the demos where you can shoot through the gates before the match starts. I have zero tolerance for that type of demo abuse, and anyone who does that will get banned shortly after a warning if they continue with it. EdgeCrusher
Thats the reason I left last night. Got tired of going out the gate with the spawn camping of the stickies and nothing really being done about. Plus they were total dicks. That's the risk you run with a pub server.
