Steffan Andrews Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 And in case you didn't know, music for the film, TV, and gaming industries nets you some serious coin. Hence the affording of lots of gear. Quote
Fishy Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Which would be great if the tv, film or gaming industries wanted me to write them some gay guitar music and I had time to compose it. Quote
Steffan Andrews Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 That logic sounds fishy. If it's what you want to do, pursue it. Otherwise the McDick's down the street will always need someone to fill their saturday evening shifts. Quote
LuketheXjesse Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I have that keyboard. It gets the job done >_> That logic sounds fishy. haha yay bad puns Quote

Otherwise the McDick's down the street will always need someone to fill their saturday evening shifts. Nice to see such high expectations for me. I'm in the first year of a degree learning mostly classical audio engineering and related things. I really don't have time. Its probably very easy to be all "oh making money from composing is easy" when you make enough to have a 6 monitor setup. Just sayin' . Quote
Steffan Andrews Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 No, it's easy to say when you're out of school and working. When I was at college taking audio engineering for two years, I couldn't afford anything, and I had to quit my job in fact. I'm saying WHEN you have the opportunity, pursue it. Quote
Fishy Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Ah, gotcha. That goes without saying :3. ...Not that I'll ever buy 6 monitors mind you. Quote
OceansAndrew Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 college + skill + jesus still = no money, regardless. jesus still? Are you making communion moonshine or something? WTF? PS. the point demotion goes to Dream Theater. Otherwise i'd lose points too for being suckered into buying those weak albums. Quote

analoq Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 That keyboard bothers me. It's like a smile with missing teeth. Quote
JH Sounds Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 It's like a smile with missing teeth. It looks like the sensors are in jail! ... Um, I guess that gag doesn't quite translate here... Quote
prophetik music Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 yeah, whatever pattern your computer has up horrifies me with the scope of it. Quote
Skrypnyk Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Did your computer just throw up a MIDI pattern? It's an actual file I loaded. Brought up piano roll. and hit randomized.... *cough* however this is an actual drumloop. Harmony: do you love it enough in exchange for money? :3 Quote
Harmony Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Harmony: do you love it enough in exchange for money? :3Sorry, I already have a casio and a hammer that will do just fine if needed Quote
big giant circles Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 I demand to hear an audio render of your piano roll. That is all. Quote

big giant circles Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 very awesome indeed. hand sequenced? also, my initial guess as to the vst would be... battery, perhaps? stormdrum 2 also has some cool glitchy sounding kits in it. Quote
