FireSlash Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 I remember custom achievements being discussed here earlier, and if anyone here is an ace coder, I seemed to have stumbled upon the source code of the custom achievements plugin.http://forums.alliedmods.net/showpost.php?p=923302&postcount=192 yeah, I'm aware the source of the old version is out, but there's some promising progress on a new one that should be out "soon", complete with web interface and the like. I figured I'd wait for that:< Edit: Follower replaced by fastlane. ctf_aerospace_b4 added to the maplist, rtv it some time. Oh, did I mention http://www.tf2stats.net ?

Top Badlands Granary Medium Follower Yukon Stag Freight Meh, but can be fun Well Fastlane Waste No way Black Mesa/Crappy Customs I tolerate all of these to some extent. Just because I don't like a map too much doesn't mean I can't enjoy myself. My experiences with Fastlane have been meh but perhaps if I played more of it I'd have a change of heart. As long as we don't lose Badlands and Granary I don't care which other 5 cp maps we have as long as we have some. And they can't be crappy customs.

Well is a great map for all the little things that make it different (large areas of water, setup killing, setup in a 5-cp map) but I've just never been overly impressed with it in the long run. It's was almost Medium for me but I guess I just don't like it that much. It does deserve to be in our rotation, though.

ParanoidDrone Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 One of the things I don't get about Black Mesa is why the cap times are inverted -- the middle is pretty quick, while the final points take forever. Although I remember hearing a rumor about how it was actually designed with 24/7 32-man servers in mind or somesuch, so that might explain it somewhat...

atmuh Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 its the result of a new plugin by some guy i used to help test his plugins that lets you change the theme of every map to your own liking! it can be downloaded at http://j-factor.com/files/themes-v05.zip and itd be really cool if we could get this on the ocr server (in order to do that powerlord needs to upload some stuff to where he hosts the stuff)

Edit: Or not, seeing as how I only need to copy the fastdownload directory to the main file mirror. Done, but I haven't added the server component to the server.
