The Damned
You think that's bad? I was watching some low budget lesbian porn, and they only had one light. It was like they went to a hardware store and bought one of those lamps you use for working on your car. You know how there are rooms in Left4Dead that have only one light source, and it's very bright, creating harsh contrasting shadows? Well, this porn had the exact same lighting. There's something about watching lesbians playing Spin The Bottle in one of the hotel rooms from Dead Air that makes it kind of difficult to watch. On (or in, I suppose) the one hand, I wanted to jerk off. On the other hand, I keep thinking "NO! IDIOTS! STOP PLAYING WITH EACH OTHER AND GET YOUR GUNS! Cover the doors! COVER THE DOORS! No, stop that, there's a Boomer nearby! Get of your asses and get ready to hold them back! MORONS! FUCK, RUN FOR IT!" I need to watch better lit porn and play less Left4Dead. Triad Orion
*Facepalm* Should we just call you Yakko Warner, Damned? Anyway, someone mentioned looking forward to a mall level? The Mod Community is way ahead of you: http://www.l4dmods.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=30&Itemid=10 The mod community is modifying an older HL2 mod that takes place in the mall from the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead. They have a video tour of some of it on this site. Dunno when it'll be finished, but they're working on it, so keep an eye out.
Malaki-LEGEND.sys
So I don't know if this is old news yet, but there are people hacking 360 version games of Left 4 Dead. I tried creating a versus lobby with a friend of mine, and one of the other 6 players had apparently fucked the game as there were about 4 tanks right on the start of No Mercy, witches everywhere, boomers and hunters, and a pretty bad text message at the top of it all. My game was somehow hacked, and I'm pissed off about it. If Valve wants me to buy another one of their games, this shit better be addressed by either them or MS. Yeah I filed a system tampering complaint against the guy, but as it stands I don't even wanna touch the game now.
Bahamut
Should've got the PC version of the game
EdgeCrusher
Yeah, seriously. There is no reason to buy a valve game for a console
BardicKnowledge
To put the nail in the 360 vs. PC coffin, you can do splitscreen play on your PC locally if you have a wired 360 controller! I don't know how / if this will work online, but at least you can have friends over to shoot zombies now.
Bahamut
So last night we had an almost friends only game of versus...and it was awesome. Valve really needs to fix how shitty some of their servers are though.
Sensai
Yes, some of their servers are seriously unplayable. Also, I'll just leave this here for you guys to check out. Beatdown
So, the best moment I've had in Left 4 Dead so far has actually been after the end of a campaign. I randomly joined an online game with 3 amazingly competent strangers and one of them had the greatest Steam ID: Dat ass. We finish No Mercy and everyone except him makes it to the helicopter, and right as the credits are rolling is when we saw it. In Memory of:Dat ass. That simple moment made the entire campaign worth playing. GOD I wish I had captured that.

Just tonight, I was in a versus match on No Mercy where everyone was very good. We went through 2 rounds where the survivors always made it, and the health at the end was what made the difference (off by about a 100 or less both times)...unfortunately though, the other team decided to completely ragequit after we survived and topped their survivor score a second time. Oh I've made many a survivor ragequit as the smoker by dragging them INTO the tank or through their carefully placed molotov. Even the tank's BASHAN N SMASHAN doesn't compare to the joy of being the asshole that pulls someone off the roof and screws up the formation. Sometimes if you listen hard enough, you can almost hear their frustration as they fire at you. It's like a high pitched "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee". Think Mini-Me. Schwaltzvald
One of the best moments I've had was on Blood Harvest. At that point right before we had to run through the damned cornfield a horde was coming upon us. Originally the plan had been that one of the members (Zoey) would run into it and set off the Horde swarming. Soon after the first wave had died off we looked back and saw something fly high into the air. We thought that it was a Hunter killed by the player using Zoey. We then ran through the cornfield and into the house ready to congratulate the Zoey player on doing an awesome job. Turns out that instead it was actually HER that was flying into the air ragdoll and all. "OH SHIT THAT WAS ACTUALLY HER FLYING HIGH WTF!?"
The Damned
So, we all know about "rage quitters", people that get pissed off with how the match is going, or they aren't up to the level of the other players and they leave... but has anyone else ever "disappointment quit"? The last few nights, I've joined Expert games, hoping for that elusive achievement "Zombiadial Maniac" achievement... only to watch everyone quickly fall apart at the first sign of a Smoker or even a decent sized wave of Infected. I just sat there, watching the others players run around, shooting each other, walking into their own molotavs and burning to death. I was completely untouched by anything, and all I could do was watch them kill themselves off. I tried to say something, but couldn't think of what to say. I eventually just left, and shut down the game. It was that demoralizing.

Dhsu
Happens all the time in TF2, when the team is just so bad people quit in frustration. Never done it myself though, because that just unbalances the teams even more.
Triad Orion
I'll admit I've frustration-quit TF2 a few times. Never because I felt I got gypped or because somebody made me mad, but often when things just get so unbalanced the game stops being fun. A good example is on random clan servers when all the members of a clan congregate on one team and just pound the opposition into the ground continually. It doesn't happen much on OCR, thankfully. It does sometimes, but hey, whatever. I'm frequently guilty of joining the team with the most OCR people on it, so I'm in no place to judge. XD Anyway, I stick to L4D almost exclusively with friends and OCR people. I don't like playing online with strangers, never have, excepting my days as a pilot in X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter. I prefer to play with people I know or at the very least people I can keep in contact with, so Frustration-Quitting in L4D has been limited to server SNAFUs. BardicKnowledge
If the server problems would go away completely, this would be the perfect game IMO. I'm still loving the co-op play, and probably won't get tired of it for some time to come.
The Damned
And to think we were so close a few nights ago You think that's bad? We were on Expert No Mercy, last level. The Tank killed everyone else. I was standing right in front of the helicopter, the doors were open, and I was backing into it. I turned to jump in, and... You know who if a zombie is hitting you in the back, it kind of holds you down a bit? Well, twenty zombies doing that will hold you down completely. I was literally, in the exact meaning of the word, a single step from the helicopter, when I was incapacitated. Everyone else just yelled into their mikes and started swearing at the AI director. I have not heard such hatred for software expressed in such anger before. Needless to say, I as not happy with that. Oddly enough, I have two of the four campaigns done for What Are You Trying To Prove, but I have not unlocked Zombicidal Maniac. I don't quite understand how I can be dead at the end of each Expert campaign, but still get it counted.
BardicKnowledge
Great VS match with all OCR folks last night. More of it!
RadioactivePancakes
I can't get enough of this game. For some reason I'm not big on the VS part of it though. I can't help but just want to play as infected only. Playing survivors isn't really all that fun though it is cool seeing people actually stick together unlike in the Co-Op campaign where sometimes people just run ahead. Here's hoping Valve will add a ton of more maps in the future.
Native Jovian
So, wait a second. You love the game, but you don't like playing in VS mode and you don't like playing in co-op mode. So what part of the game do you like?
Drack
Great VS match with all OCR folks last night. More of it! That was great.
