zircon Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Sweet! I'll almost definitely be there. Quote
Neo Samus Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Awe, that would be awesome to go to. I'd love to see you guys in concert, just a bit too far distance wise. I hope you guys have an awesome show, though! Quote
Bahamut Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Awe, that would be awesome to go to. I'd love to see you guys in concert, just a bit too far distance wise. I hope you guys have an awesome show, though! Ditto...I'm spending my Thanksgiving break in Illinois . Quote
Xenon Odyssey Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Considering I'm only 5 blocks away from the convention center, I'd have to come up with a good excuse not to go. Unless something drastic happens, I'll be there. EDIT: Ticket purchased! Quote
Mustin Posted November 11, 2008 Author Posted November 11, 2008 (psst, Neo Samus, I lived in Waukegan and worked there for a summer at a place called "Los Dos Amigos") Quote
Dhsu Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 More like vgSUXpo ohhhhh! Just kidding, I'm sure the PA event is magnitudes better than the sad showing they had in Dallas years ago. Quote
Neo Samus Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Ditto...I'm spending my Thanksgiving break in Illinois . IL isn't that bad. But I understand wanting to spend time with your family. Edit: Mustin, I looked up Los Dos Amigos. The place is 5 mins from my house! LOL! What a small world we live in. Quote

The Pezman Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Hey... it's possible I could make this. Not likely, with costs and everything, but possible. Quote
Mustin Posted November 13, 2008 Author Posted November 13, 2008 Let me know if you're coming so I can look for you. If you just want to come to the show and not the expo, I can probably get you in for frizzle. HOLLAH ATCHA BOY!!!1 Quote
SwordBreaker Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Alas, wish I can come. WAY too far for me. Oh well, I'm really enjoying Volume 2 at the moment. Glad I ordered it. Quote
Mazedude Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 I and the lovely Mazedudette will be there! And we'll probably be arriving around 8, just for the music, so if you can get us in gratis, we'd certainly be grateful. Quote
Slimee Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 does anyone remember before vgLAMEpo? Back when it was the Philly Classic Gaming Convention out in the Valley Forge convention center? Those were the days...I was at Philly Classic 4 and 5 and was at the first VGXPO they had after the name change...haven't been to one since, has it gotten any better? that first year it was VGxPO it was absolutely HORRIBLE. I can't remember the convention center it was held at, but the VGxPO was mixed in with like a half dozen other conventions, and it was this tiny ass NBC sponsored thing in the back of the center...it was an absolute joke...can anyone confirm if it's still the same style (mixed with other conventions) or if it's taken off as just it's own convention? It wouldn't be so bad if they could fill the entire PA convention center with video game stuff... Quote
Moguta Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 I'm definitely attending just on the OneUps' presence. Is anyone else gonna be there for the VGXPo itself, though? I'm debating whether or not to partake in anything beyond the concert. Quote
Dyne Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Well, it's not bad, but I just miss NY food and all the people back on the east coast. Are you going to plan a Christmas Meetup? If so, I might have to tag along for that one, though I would like to travel with someone from Philly to NYC. I don't relish the idea of going it alone to NYC. I wouldn't know where the heck I'm going. Also, I might be going as well. I just need to find someone to go with me. Quote
Sporknight Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 There is a fairly strong potential of me making it to this. Should be fun, eh? Quote
zircon Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Well, I had to leave a little early because my ride was leaving, but I caught at least 8 songs of the set and it was frickin' AWESOME. I really wish I could have stayed. Probably the best live show I've ever seen... impeccable performances, improv, mixing, volume. Not even kidding. You guys rock. Quote
D-Lux Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 I was there start to finish (sup Andy) and even got to chill with the band before and after. I must say that last night was the first time I'd ever seen rave dancing to jazz music, but it just goes to show that video game music brings people of many different backgrounds together. The show itself was superb, and they definitely won over the staff (you should have seen some of the other acts .. actually, be happy you didn't). Notables that were there: Mustin + The OneUps, zircon, Mazedude, Joe Cam. Awesome work, guys. Quote
Mustin Posted November 24, 2008 Author Posted November 24, 2008 Thanks, guys, glad you could come out. Quote
