Mr Azar Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I don't think this topic of conversation comes up often, but I thought i'd ask anyhow. Is there a particular company's logo that you favor, or just plain like for whatever reasons (mostly nostalgia, i'd wager ) ? For me, it's Konami's. This was mainly because of all the Contra I used to play. Every time I see that logo, it takes me back to the early 1990s. Quote
Mr Azar Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 Ah, here it is. The old logo. Not to be confused with the newer boxier one. Quote
Strike911 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Always been a fan of Kojima Productions and the simplicity of Namco's. Quote
Mr Azar Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 Huh, when did Kojima Productions get the fox logo anyhow? Was it during the development of Metal Gear Solid 3? Quote
mrhiccup Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I like the Psygnosis logo, designed by Roger Dean: Quote
Strike911 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Yeah, I think it was in the middle of MGS3's development, although, I'm not sure. It's been a few years. lol. Quote
Mr Azar Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 Oh so many memories coming back. It seemed like every logo also gave birth to at least one new catchy piece of music (short as they were) and sometimes, two or more. Quote
Nekofrog Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 The correct answer. Sony really should have gone back to the PS1's splashscreen for the PS3 slim. Such an awesome intro and sound. Quote
Gollgagh Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 methinks no one nowadays knows what "no favorites threads" really means The correct answer. Malaki-LEGEND.sys Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Back in the 90's when you knew you were getting something good when you saw this logo. The 90's were just great for gaming in general. Quote
DarkeSword Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I like the topic so let's just take "favorites" out of the title and post awesome logos, okay? Okay. Quote
Cerrax Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 In terms of having most of my favorite games, this logo always puts a smile on my face But Reflections (now Ubisoft Reflections) logo always reminds me of a symbol you would see on all the doors in an evil fortress or something Quote
Mr Azar Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 This used to be a herald of awesome things to come (and the only Sega system I ever owned was a Dreamcast). Lately, however, it's lost some of it's magic with me . Quote
nrich Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 In terms of having most of my favorite games, this logo always puts a smile on my face imo Quote
Dr.Flintlock Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 For those of us that love the Mac games of old.... Because this is just too nuts for words. Suda 51, I salute you. Quote
