Powerlord Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 And a guy like me just isn't cool enough to get an invite huh*cough* profile*cough* OK, it's done.
Chili Con Carnage Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Wait, if you've already picked out your team, what was the point in posting here? A) That's the core team, some of the slots are only tentative, and at the very least we still have 4 auxiliary slots open. To get more recognition for the event. C) Who says OCR can only field one team? Neblix: Competitive players are actually restricted in it to one per team and playing only Engie, Pyro, Spy, or Heavy. It's meant to bring new players into the fold.
FireSlash Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 What about a Team 2 for OCR? Team 2? Why not teams Nintendo and Sega? Street Fighter and Mortal Combat? Schala and icecap? LET THE BATTLE OF THE TITANS BEGIN
Chili Con Carnage Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Team 2?Why not teams Nintendo and Sega? Street Fighter and Mortal Combat? Schala and icecap? LET THE BATTLE OF THE TITANS BEGIN Wily Stage One, perhaps?
ParanoidDrone Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Oh yay. A competition whose players get in-game items just for playing, regardless of how bad they are. Or so the page for it claims. And yet... I don't recall seeing anything on the TF2 blog about this...Wait, if you've already picked out your team, what was the point in posting here? It was a while ago. Right above the L4D Badwater shot. Info link seems to be borked though -- I keep getting a 502 Bad Gateway error, whatever that means. EDIT: And now it's working. IDK.
Necro Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Is this for pro's only? I mean it seems like it because it's a competition, but still. Actually professionals are not allowed in this highlander competition from the looks of it. There are likely a enough people on OCR to make at least two teams.
RussellChamp Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Actually professionals are not allowed in this highlander competition from the looks of it. There are likely a enough people on OCR to make at least two teams. Wow! That actually looks like a lot of fun! I would be interested in joining a second team's line-up if we are able to field one. Is there anyone else willing to take "team leader" for that?
Cecilff2 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Could I get an invite? Was playing with you guys last night, mainly medic following phill and atmuh around. Profile here
atmuh Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 mainly medic following phill and atmuh around thx for that
FireSlash Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 we really just need to make the group public.
Cinderwild Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Hey guys, hopefully some of you recognize me from the OCR servers. I'm up for joining the second OCR team as Scout or something. EDIT: I don't know why, but for me this thread is showing new replies on the first page and the older ones on the last.

Powerlord Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 we really just need to make the group public. Seconded, but we'd have to get Bahamut to do that, because only the group owner can change permissions.
phill Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 thx for that indeed, though following me around may get you killed faster...
atmuh Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 indeed, though following me around may get you killed faster... nah youre not half bad
phill Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 nah youre not half bad First thing that came to mind was Statler & Waldorf from the muppets with their "That wasn't half bad, that was all bad" Since I can't find that clip, you can have this one
Kiyobi Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Sign me up for OCR Highlander Team 2. I'm a pretty decent Pyro, Medic, and Spy.

Edit: Nope, it wasn't, but there are a lot of good ones there. has some good quips, too.
Jaswald Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I'd like to declare interest in being on the second team
atmuh Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 looks live ive got a team ready to go and http://www.pcgamer.com/2010/08/11/next-tf2-update-adds-trading-new-game-mode/ look at that

No facestabs would actually be a pretty big drawback, although no failstabs would be an equally big perk. That's...pretty scary to think about.

Went through a couple of the big compilations and didn't find, mildly disappointed in that fact. Made up by the fact I was watching Statler and Waldorf clips. It's also nice to see Valve hiring programmers capable of...well programming game mechanics.

That's...pretty scary to think about. I'm all for the no facestabs, as long as there's some way on the server to force-equip Chili with it. Also, "next month (Valve time)" would be... January 2011?
