prophetik music Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 i just picked up a set of alessandro labs grado music series two headphones, and i had the same experience. i went from a set of logitech x230 speakers from five years ago to open-ear awesomeness. Quote
Slenit Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Hi there. I don't really read the forums, but I've been getting music from here since 2003 and I just wanted to say thanks for everything over the last 7 years. I tossed you guys $25. Anyone who has ever felt grateful for the music after a day from hell, or who has just been using that much bandwidth for that long, should give whatever they can too. Here's hoping I can increase the donation next year once college ends. And on that note, see you all next year, same thread. Quote
Majin GeoDooD Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Just sent $10 to OCR! Not able to donate as much this year as I have in the past, but I know everything helps. 8 years ago last week I registered on this forum, boy does time fly Quote
Liontamer Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Former TNA wrestler Austin Creed (formerly Consequences Creed) sent in a donation last night! Thanks, Austin! http://gocreedgo.com http://twitter.com/austincreed He's been a fan longer than I have, and he'll be in Japan next week for a show. He's probably going to get to go to Akihabara. DAMN YOU, CREED! Quote
big giant circles Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 haha, WUT, that's awesome:)!! Nice work, man! :nicework: Quote
prophetik music Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 haha, WUT, that's awesome:)!!Nice work, man! :nicework: seriously. austin creed just pimped our music on SFTC, too. holy crap! Quote
Fishy Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 A what an awesomely random pimp. I will give you my $10 bucks next week, plus the $10 I'm pretty sure I forgot to donate last year after saying the same thing. For SHAME! Quote
Mirby Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Better start taking ginkgo so you remember, Fishy. Quote
Kizyr Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Due to needing to get a new card issued, I can't donate just yet (and I'm holding off on all other online purchases at the moment). Whether or not I get it before the end of April, you can count on me donating. KF Quote
Mirby Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Who says you can only donate in April? Donate year round! Hell, if I ever manage to sell Relics of Nature's Fury, some of that money's going right here, that's a promise! As for how much, I don't know, but some of it is going to OCR! Quote
big giant circles Posted April 24, 2010 Author Posted April 24, 2010 Donated. Cheers from the 8BitX crew. you all rock Quote
Mirby Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Hey, Jimmy, if you don't mind me asking, what's the total as it stands now? Quote
Dj Mokram Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Bump from the graveyard! Finally got around to making my donation today. That's $30 going into OCR's vault. Hope the fundraising is going well for you guys. Quote
K.B. Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Cripes, this spent what, three days on the second page? No good, man, no good. Spot-on with the bump though. Perhaps a sticky would have helped the cause. Just over a day left! Quote
Kizyr Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Ok, finally got my new card. $50 sent over. KF Quote
Flare4War Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Cripes, this spent what, three days on the second page? No good, man, no good. Spot-on with the bump though.Perhaps a sticky would have helped the cause. Just over a day left! Not a good idea. People instinctively ignore stickies. Bumps are better and more promotional. Quote
Brandon Strader Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 It's true, people ignore stickies. Times are tougher now than they were over the last several years. Wow. I really would have liked to donate more than I did. Things are a lot more desperate than I ever remember them being though. Es muy mal. Quote
K.B. Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 People take note of open letters vs closed letters. It's simply a suggestion. It was stickied last year; this year it wasn't. There are other factors at play, yes, but when a thread makes it to the second page - or even most of the way down the first - it's going to be ignored. Anyway, this is the last day of the official April is Support OCR Month, so I encourage everyone who hasn't donated to pitch in. Quote
BardicKnowledge Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I have thrown my $10 into the pile. Sorry it can't be more -- I only got a 25% assistantship for next year and we're starting to trim the budget. Quote
Dj Mokram Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 It was stickied last year; this year it wasn't. Actually, even better than that: last year's thread was posted in Announcements, effectively ensuring appearance on front page. This helped bring attention to the matter, and I'm surprised this course of action hasn't been taken in 2010 as well. Anyway, this is the last day of the official April is Support OCR Month, so I encourage everyone who hasn't donated to pitch in. ^ This. Whether you're lurkers, newcomers, or ol' timers. Brome Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Let's hope this month, OCR received lots of cash ! Quote
Mirby Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Yeah, I'm still waiting for the current tally. Quote
